G-Units in Europe?

Post by jay7 »

When I moved to Germany I was under the impression that there were no Lavers, barely any Clima's, and no Gunits to be seen. And thus the Quantum was born so that the Europeans wouldn't have to deal with getting everything shipped from the US.

If what I had understood is correct, then I have possibly found a little 'goldmine' for the Europeans who want to try out G6's instead of getting Quantums, for whatever reason. I just walked past a store, and on display on a big pillar inside I see some shoes that look startingly similar to G6's. I look at my grubby beaten dead Lavers, and walk in the store and it turns out these shoes were infact the Leather Gunit G6's. The only thing different on these, is on the outside surface they have a metal or plastic Gunit G6 Emblem/Logo, and usually I see a stitched/embroydered logo like this one

http://zapasbasket.com.ar/g-unit/g-unit-g6-yankees.jpg

On the inside surface as well, there are the 4 lines of holes, however there is no stitching seam right under the final hole for lacing.

However, apart from those two things, the inside, the sole, the long line on the instep that goes around the shoe, the toe, the emblem on the laces saying "g6", the back of the shoe saying "Rbk" nad a flag underneath it, and the little flag on the outside surface of the shoe, the box saying "gunit g6" and the insole being the same as Blitz' in his modding video (http://www.flipsider.com/videos/know/mods_g6.mov ) is exactly the same as any Gunit G6 picture I've found.

Naturally, I tested them out, and the inside is incredible for osis', and the toe walls were begging to be modded.

So, if any of you Europeans want a pair of G6's NOT shipped from the US, I've found a little stockpile at a store not to far away from where I am living.

However, if I was just incorrect in that G6's have always been in Europe, then please say so and I'll lose my little high of glory.

:P

Edit

Yeah, probably should have mentioned they were bought in Mainz Germany, somewhere downtown with a Graffiti name that I couldn't read. They were 72 euros, and only had white + gray, or white + other colour.

If there is any interest in a pair from anyone, I can check out sizes and colours and the like, and as long as you cover shipping + price it'll be free on my part.

[Remember I am only here for 1 month more]

well, they actually have been in europe, and also in germany, but its outdated. only the lavers never were sold here. but you might wanna tell us the shop you found it, and the price also. i play with such a pair that you descrive, with no stiching on the side and the bling bling logo. i think theyre the very first g6 that has been produced, apart from that its not any different to the other g6 1s.

In austria they were available at footlocker when they came out, but they were sold pretty quickly. Now a shop in Vienna called RAG has some white g6s for 85 Euros. pretty expensive...
RAG also carries planetfootbag-footbags and I saw Sick03 running on the screens in the shop when I was there last time :D
