You lost the shred mix? Lame.

I keep spending my saving money on mushrooms. Lame.

I guess Tim is taking me to Laser Quest for my birthday on Monday/Memorial Day. I'm pretty stroked.

Nate Linscot called me at like 8:30 this morning to tell me that he wasn't going to be in Corvallis this weekend. Instead, he's going to be in Eugene tomorrow with Aaron Orton, who just got out of the military. This means I'm going to have to bail on my girl-person, but it also means I get to shred with Aaron and Nate as well as kick it with an ex-girl and a friend of mine from high-school.

Work officially starts for me at 8:00 AM on Sunday. 84 hours of vacation left; watch me squander them.

Had first session since James left.

had one string focusing on stepping out of whirl. it had pdx whirl>sidewalk>rpt, rip>whirl>side>whirl>rpt, whirl>whirl>whirl>rip>rip>rip>rpt>bl whirl, spin whirl>blur>dim>rpt

managed to hit mobius>far symp rev swirl, mobius>matador and mobius>marius as well

my leg is kind of jacked. need to take at least a week or two off  Of course I get my first new injury in years right before worlds :? this is the time I want to spend drilling, not doing other things

I just sessioned with Nate and Aaron. Nate brought his camera and his girlfriend filmed. Aaron hit blurry merlin, but the camera was zoomed in on some lights instead of the trick. I hit Food processor>pdx. blendy>pdx. whirl, but again, nobody was filming. Everyone hit some solid strings. Hopefully Nate will make a good video of it.

isn't this my 100th post?

Saturday market was today. We usually shred there but my leg is still all jacked up. It's been almost two weeks :? So instead I bought a bunch of flowers and plants and spent the day transplanting them into planters. Was super peaceful.

Went on a solo spirit journey last night. It was incredible.

No worries about the lack of footage. It seems to happen every time someone puts a camera on me, especially at MFA. Either I choke, or technical difficulties happen, or the other footy is better anyway. That session wasn't my greatest either. Washing a huge rice bowl down with a quart of water precluded a decent preformance, but I hate making excuses.

Today's session at the Saturday market was much better. I think it helps to shred on an empty stomach after a few bong loads. I was up to my usual tricks, except with much more stamina and string length. Aaron and I drew in a sizable crowd at one point. Plenty of beautiful people at the Saturday market. I miss living in this town sometimes.

I'm finally caught up with my debts and I'm on my way to saving up some money. I still haven't played since last weekend. Or yo'ed. I got 12 catches 5-ball cascade. That was sweet.

I'm going to visit my family for the first time in like 6 months. I'm weird with family. It's my birfday parte and I get to eat bratwursts. Totally stroked.

Ok, this is my last post for at least ten days. I'm heading up into the H.J. Andrews experimental forest to do some trail work in an old growth forest on the Blue River Ranger district of the Willamette National Forest. It should be fun.

I hit a blurry whirl this afternoon out of nowhere. A couple of people saw me do it and they were amazed. I can't wait to show some people unfamiliar with footbag what it's all about. Staff training should be good. I'll post when I get back on the 7th.

Pretty random thing just happened.

I checked my myspace musician page and had a new message. It was from a band that wants me to do a tour w/ them! but I'm not a professional musician and don't even have my own instruments (I use my old roomates and garage band). so I had to turn him down. :o

Just wanted to drop by and say yo to one of my fave shred crews in the US.

Mainly wanted to say thanks to BT5K for awakening His Nastiness from his footbag hiatus. It was great to see some new Nate footage, and hey maybe some Riley footage one of these days. Maybe in Regamey's MFJ video (so pumped to hear he's editing it all now).

Oh and James you post in this blog so much you might as well just move to Missoula already. If you didn't blow all your money on drugs you'd be there by now you daffy bastard ;)

Anyway, one of our shredders John (DaGoodSmoke) will be in Bozeman for the summer, so when he comes to visit Missoula I want y'all to take really good care of my boy. He shreds Austin style, i.e. barefoot. So teach him some moves and show him a good time.

K-Crow congrats on being an uncle. [obligatory comment about your sister being hot omitted] Too bad to hear about your leg being jacked up, it seemed like you were on a really good streak hitting some really crazy shit like all those 100+ contact strings. I'm thinking about taking a break myself, shin splints just seem relentless, even with the mats, I just keep shredding more, it's like crack I need to lock up my shoes and bags in my girlfriend's car trunk so I don't play for a couple weeks.

Peace out freaks :P

my leg has been messed up ever since I pushed that massive hike for one of the first of the season. if I shred more than 15 minutes, I limp around and struggle to go up and down stairs. I've been staying off of it though for the most part (except for a few exceptions) and the pain has been very slowly regressing.

Bittorrent finally works now that I have my own computer. have 19 aphex twin albums, the full boards of canada collection, ben frost, nathan fake, and jackson & his computer band lined up for listening enjoyment.

Werd to your mother

Post by Blackend »

Sup yall. Just checkin in on the blog. Haven't posted here for a long time. Just down in Gillette, WY for work. Just had a month break. We had a 2D test line in Belgrade, MT then shut down because the drillers weren't finished with the dynamite shots here. So I shacked up in Shelby with my girlfriend and two kids and spent some time with her since I won't get to for a couple of months.

Haven't kicked it since I left Missoula. Too much work and not enough time. It's cool to see that Mr. Crowley is still shredilicious.

So i played footbag today

and no pain!! it was great! and I played very well b/c of all the pent up energy from not shredding. Set my new genuine record starting with ripped warrior. Also hit near refraction>gyro muted rev whirl>string and a new trick. Nuclear ss whirl>string.

The exactly describes my session tonight too!!! I hadn't played since, like, Saturday!! And the lack of pain was RADICAL! I was even doing gyro rev whirls too!

Props on that stuff.
What was your genuine record? (I mean, what's your new record?)
Backside gauntlet is stupid! You should make a video of your attempts!!
