Aw Erik, you are adorable. Your room is so awesome! I love all the frogs (of course) and I ABSOLUTELY ADORE the self-portrait! It's amazing! Even better is the firetruck wallpaper hahaha and THE HEARTS! My god! You guys are just too sweet!

Here is a link to a project with some photos of my bedroom... I did this quick Javascript webart project with image rollovers/links: http://www.imagearts.ryerson.ca/csurovy ... javascript

It could be a lot better, I did it in like, 20 minutes. Some pages are an issue cuz your mouse is already on the photo so it's already on the rollover image instead of the pre-rollover one, unfortunately. I will fix it, but we don't have access to the server over the summer. :? Anyway, enjoy. :)

We miss you. I'm happy that you're happy to be home though! Go for the bubbletea thing man, it would be perfect for you! haha

Erik, this is Marita posting from your account, since I have NO idea what my old password would have been from back in the day when I posted here.

Sweetie, I just looked at the photos you took of your room, and I miss you so muuuuch!!! But it made me less sad, and more happy, because seeing all the sweet things about us all over your room makes me remember all those memories from like, FOUR years ago (crazy hey??!!), and I didn't know you kept up the hearts until we left for Toronto!! God I love you. Ok, sorry for mushy-ing up your footbag blog, but I wanted to put it here right after I looked at them. I was smiling the emtire time. You should finish that painting of me, wasn't that supposed to be...a Christmas gift, or Birthday...? Oh well, I don't care for that reason, but it would be cool if we had 2 paintings by you of us to hang side by side in our house (eventually).

Soon you can put another big anniversary heart!!! June 7th!! MUAH!! Bye sweetie, I'll call you later, and I hope you have an awesome night :D

Cool :D
Kiss-kiss! <3

Thanks for the comments, Camille -- that made me happy :) You're so nice to me! Oh, and, man, your room thing is SOOOO cool I was so inspired! I wanna do that! COOL! Those must be older pictures -- you look quite different, especially in one of them.

Yeah -- my room is, like, my favourite place in the world; it's sweet! It's just got everything I like, and all that. Although, it might be PERFECT if there was enough room to hack the sack...

Anyway...
Shred: May 25th, 2007:
Pretty fun session with Andrew, though it was unbelievably cold. It wasn't actually THAT bad, but, yeah, it kind of was. My hands were numb the whole time, and then it was too cold to even stretch.
I hit:
-blurry rev whirl > blurry legover > pixie rev whirl [repeat]
-stepping rev whirl > blurry rev whirl > spinning ducking clipper [repeat] (minus last trick...)
-blurry rev whirl > spinning clipper [repeat] X 2

Yeah... ha, that's all I can remember. I hit TONS of blurry rev whirls, though. It was just...easy. I guess it's an easy move and I just avoid hitting it to be too boring. I like stepping rev whirl much more. I was close to stepping rev whirl > gyro diving clipper [repeat]...just dropped the last one.

Andrew hit some cool stuff. Oh, we did MOTW again, so I may just post those, since we've missed, like...2 years. I did rev maelstrom and spinning ducking PS mirage, and Andrew did blurry reaper and rubberman with fogs. I also got that step rev whirl > blurry rev whirl > spin duck clipper [repeat] attempt on my camera, since it was an attempt for MOTW. I think Andrew may have got far in blurry whirl > fog > reactor [repeat] too.. I forget how far. Oh, Andrew also re-did his backside bedwetter...I'll see it later and see if it's any better (I thought the other was fine, just like everybody else :p) I think I'll just post the clips straight to Hackrifice to get people to start going there again, though I want to redesign too, 'cause it's poopy.

Compliments from players, mostly
I drove to the session and brought my mats. It was great -- shin splints didn't affect my game, though we did notice that both our knees were kinda sore...maybe unrelated?

Umm, so, I've got wicked compliments from wicked players recently -- it's SUPERDUPER! I was talking to Lauri Airenen(??ieee) and he wanted my opinion on putting out that sick video that he did, and he was all modest and all, like, "I'm not sure if it's any good.." and I freaked out and was all, like, "WHATTT??". It baffles me that someone so good would want to bother talking to me :? Umm, and Sergey Kozlov like messaged me out of nowhere asking for help on his spins (the guy who can, like, hit maelstrom both sides on command...). And he said stuff about how he used to always watch Hackrifice videos and stuff :) And..someone else said nice things too... it was neato.

Umm, I dunno.
The End.

not to take away from sergey, because he has a really solid game and can hit so much awesome shit, but all of his spins are froggy. he has already completed the "spin" and has spotted the bag on the other side before he even releases it. it's understandable that he would want your help on spinning.

i don't think i hit bs bed, i think i was too cold and tired when we were trying the motw's. yeah, 2 years behind... i think you might as well post them.
good shred today, i'll call you tomorrow, or the next day, but i want to get in a frolf game or 2 on sunday, so we'll have to shred before or after.

I put some MOTW videos on Hackrifice.
I won't post in the Videos section, 'cause I want people to start going to our website again. We will have more than just MOTW videos coming up soon. For now that's all it is, but there's a handful of 'em all at once.

http://www.hackrifice.com
(Oh yeah, kindly drop us a comment or three!)

Any suggestions for the website?? Content AND appearance-wise...
We plan to film many more move demos, re-film crappy ones, and focus on basics, ESPECIALLY guilts and basic stalls... We're going to have a cool members section with photos and stuff. I'm going to revamp the videos section and have EVERY Hackrifice video EVER, and...yeah. I want to redesign and make it crunchy and inviting. Suggestions in that department?

EDIT: Oh yeah, the third person to say nice things about me was Olaf, but it was right here in my blog in the last page :D
EDIT 2: I've been watching more Toronto footage, and discovered that my camcorder is really far too old. The play button doesn't work 1/4 of the time... So I'm hoping once I have an estimate on how much Worlds will cost I can look into buying a newer, nicer camcorder... that would be so nice. Maybe I will look around on the internet just for fun. I'm thinking in the $1000 range again, though, a million years ago $1200 bought me what you can get for a couple hundred today... So I'm thinking something semi-decent in point-and-shoots...

Hey Erik! Awesoem MOTW stuff man. I love it. I hope you keep it up for a good long while. :P So, you'll be coming to Worlds for sure?? We'll definitely have to shred to some Nightwish and Kamelot. By the way, any news on the new release from Nightwish yet?

Nightwish
Yeah -- their single is released, as far as I know, for free, on their website, on Wednesday!! They have a preview, and it sounds...eeehh.. okay. It will be easier to tell with a whole song, and especially a whole album in a few months! The sound is definitely Nightwish, but the new singer may take some getting used to for the harder of the core (me??).

Worlds/buying footbags/ShrEdmonton
I booked my flight to Worlds. I think everything is taken care of! Yeah, I don't know. I think I ordered a footbag from Dave Clavens! I sent him money and I think he said that he made me one...so we'll see. I think I also ordered a couple from Brian and Holly -- Brian is making me a POKEBALL bag!!!! (I want to shred with Rory Dawson with this bag! -- Oh, maybe at ShrEdmonton, which I might be going to??) He made one before and gave it away in some thread and I was so excited about that!! Oh, so I need to send him and Holly money, I guess. Footbags!!

Yeah, that's all.
I had my first day of work. It was pretty lax -- they kept telling me to have a nap and play on the internet.

ha, wow. youre really excited!

the low down on the pokebag is:

there are currently 2 in existance, aside from knockoffs of my design.

freddy N has one, and Marco hartig has the original.

so you will have the third, and maybe i can do something cool to this one. we'll see..... someone wanted a "master ball", whatever that is... im thinking special filler or something.

glad were both going to worlds, im excited to meet more canadians!!

woooo! footbag!

Oh man, I just had an epic solo session!! :D

Shred: May 30, 2007:
-vortex > drifter [repeat]
-reverse maelstrom [BSOS]
-vortex > mobius (on the other side)
-vortex > void (on the other side)
-vortex > stepping reverse whirl [BSOS]
-vortex > spinning rev whirl [both sides]
-vortex > gyro DLO [both sides] (the BSOS rolled off..)
-gyro rev whirl X2 [both sides]
-spinning rev whirl + gyro rev whirl [both BSOS] and another spinning rev whirl
-gravedigger [BSOS] (the first was the first time I've ever hit flip, and this was the run after first hitting good side :))
-spinning DLO > same rev whirl [repeat] (rolled off the last move 'cause I was sure I had it and got lazy :()

Man! :D
I don't really do runs when I solo lately, so I was just going for combos with my biggest moves, kinda. The vortex > stepping rev whirl BSOS was soooo cool! I was, like, "I wanna step out of vortex" and so I hit stepping rev whirl and then... BSOS... I dunno -- it was cool! I wanted more torques, but I did some pdx torque BSOS and little stuff. marius is still incredibly hard, even after all the spinning and stuff...but I only tried about twice-ish. Oh, I did some double spinning! I think double spinning clipper > blurry rev whirl both sides is in the works, and double spinning rev whirl both sides too! The flip double spinning was there, and the rev whirl after was close. I didn't try that too many times, though. Vortex was obviously on! No pain :) I even did some nuclear. I hit sumo > dive symp mirage, though I wanted it beesauce. I also wanted some stepping ducking practice, but it feels so hit-and-miss. I felt like I could have hit alpine fog, but it seems a lot easier when Dave hits it than it really is...obviously. Oh, I also wanted vortex > spinning rev whirl > gyro DLO, 'cause two-move combos are kind of lame and easily fluked, but I forgot to try.

I'm uber happy with my accomplishments today :)
And I've already done two days worth of drawing on my lunch break at work, so I'm hoping to catch up with another couple days' worth tonight (I'm a bunch of days behind again because being awake during the day has me tuckered by 7PM! It's dumb.) I also watched a couple more tapes of my Toronto footbag footage in the past couple days... I think I may have watched almost all of it! I gotta get on my brother's case about fixing my computer... I need to be video-project free by Worlds, so that I can relax and make a Worlds video without stuff backed up.

Time to relax with some bubble tea.

EDIT: Oh yeah, Alan Underhill's blog reminded me that I also hit spinning rev whirl > dyno both sides :) Flip dyno doesn't really work...so that was cool.

Ha, my name is mentioned. ^_^ May I inquire as to how I sparked your memory? Just curious. 8 )
But wow man. O_o Those are some slammin' highlights! Major props buddy!
I need to check out that song preview though. This computer can't download, stream, or do anything special though. I can't even watch FOotbag videos unless they are WMV's from either Hackrifice and Fizzied. Thankfully I can still watch "The Peg" though. ; )

But really man, that sounds like an awesome session!

Most of those things I hit were, like, dream combos of mine :D
Yeah, I discovered rev whirling rakes one session, but man are they easy to the. And "the" rev whirling rakes are just, like, really lame toe stalls... I'm also pretty bad at rakes in general... it felt fun, though. I used to air-shred toe-set sameside reverse whirling rakes way before I was even doing reverse whirls...

Your blog reminded me, because the title is, like, "Dynoalicious" or something. I listened to some new Nightwish samples. The new singer is kind of sucky (she doesn't sound Finnish -- she sounds, like...North American... like with a bit of twang, almost... not really, but you know... pungency) :( But some of them have some Marco vocals, and I LOVE his voice... and his double-braided viking beard!!!

Thanks for the replies, guys :)
I can't wait to do more vortexes at Hackrifice sessions!

Thanks guys :)
I forgot one of my favourite highlights from yesterday!
rev tomahawk > far rev whirl > far rev whirl > rev tomahawk :D

EDIT: I got some of those things that both Andrew and Peng told me to get...those things that will help my knees. I will mention something if I notice a lack of rawness in my knees in the near future...

Shred: June 1, 2007:
Andrew and I both had a terrible session today. I couldn't hit ANTHING...not even bail runs. It was kinda frustrating, though not as much as I thought it would be...I wasn't as super-negative and grumpy as I usually am at bad sessions. Anyway, our new recruit came out for the second time (that I've met him, anyway) -- the first was my first Hackrifice session back. His name is Manna? I'm not sure. He has improved a LOT since the last time I saw him. He was completely one-sided and was diong some neat things for a beginner, like, osis, butterfly, mirage, ducking clipper...but kinda just one or two moves between toe stalls. TODAY he was doing, like, 20+ contact runs (mostly toe stalls and kicks) with BOTHSIDED clippers and butterflies and legovers... it was cool. He is going to be good. He's got this weird habit of doing an inside stall on one side instead of a toe stall and we are trying to ween him off of that. Otherwise, he's, like, 15...so there is a lot of potential!

I had a handful of highlights, but that was like ALL that happened:
-spinning ducking clipper > vortex > spinning rev whirl
-spinning rev whirl X 2 [both sides]
-stepping rev whirl X 8 (almost two on my flip  ...lame)

and I had a run with both vortexes, a spinning rev whirl...and I think a gyro DLO, but maybe dropped on that. Meh. Andrew and Derek are playing tomorrow. I may or may not play...I kind of said that I probably won't, but immediately after I really felt like it... I guess we'll see what the weekend holds. I've been waiting all week (first week of work) to relax. And I've been playing phone tag with a friend that I want to get together with. Social activities are a pretty huge deal for me. I don't really have friends. Most of the time I don't mind, because I really like to be alone and just draw and do stuff by myself, but sometimes it's pretty lonely. Before the session today I was all excited about playing in public, but even thinking about it gave me palpitations...like incredible social anxiety just from thinking about going out... (That's also a reason why I'm not very good at talking/don't talk much for those who know me in person. I also don't have much confidence...)

Well, that's my story.
I was pretty excited at discovering how much I actually make at my job when I got my first pay cheque today. I thought I made $12, and I make $15, plus vacation and accumulative paid sick and all that. I make, like, twice what I made at any of my last jobs (well, except working here last year...but then it was mostly $12 (sometimes $14 for teacher's assistant instead of clerk...or the other way around)). So I'm going to have, like, $5000 from just over two months of casual work... So I'm definitely going to get a new video camera... maybe something awesome? Oh, Peng gave me some info on finding cheap things... maybe I will utilize that information to research.

I really like seeing everyone else's rooms. I like that I started that :D

EDIT: Well... I just ordered 2 pairs of Climacools on a whim. They better be good :p Although I will have money to burn... I can't believe I ordered two pairs. I got one of the black and one of the blue -- the blue look like they may match my shorts, which would be neat. I need a new pair of shorts for Worlds (I don't know how I'm going to deal with soaking wet knee braces at Worlds...) so maybe I will get either black to match my other Climas, or red to match my red Lavers. Man I've spent a lot of money on footbag lately!!! I like organizing and listing stuff, so I'm going to:
-Foam mats ($50)
-Dave Clavens footbag ($30 USA/$35 CAN)
-Brinard footbag ($30 USA/$35 CAN?)
-PegLeg footbag ($30 USA/$35 CAN?)
-Blue Climacools (~$90 USA/$110 CAN?)
-Black Climacools (~$90 USA/$110 CAN?)
-Ibuprofen ($10)
-Those other knee thingies ($25)
-Worlds (~$850)
__________
$1260

And then if you add the potential video camera at the end of the summer... ~$2500-ish?? I feel so committed!

Oh...I had rev whirlygig > rev maelstrom super close 2 out of 2 tries. I may have hit rev blurry whirl > rev maelstrom, but forget.
