toe whirls

Post by Psilocybe »

I'm having the hardest time learning how to whirl from a toe set. Is the leg supposed to go around the bag or over it? Any advise?

I always end up hitting the bag about 10 feet away from me. Very unstylish.

Practice it 100 times on each side first then ask again. :)

It seems like you are not sure what a good dex is. You definitely want to go all the way around the bag with your leg not just hover on top of it.

Set bag and plant quickly.
Start dex as soon as you plant set foot
focus on dex - see where it messes up and try again
practice lots on both sides

Good luck

Maybe try toe pick ups b2b ( whirling style pick ups).

Or just do the dexes without the bag.

I don't know what you'd need to strengthen, but... Blah.

Just practice the whirl dex without the bag until your leg hurts (but not your knee!)

Toe pickups are good too (as Kljopa said)
