[edit - you need to stop thinking about this]

In other news, I've shredded a bit but not too hardcore - my ankle is almost back to normal. Apparently that was a pretty bad sprain because it happened in December and I can still feel it.

School's almost over. A few more weeks. On one hand I'm happy but on the other I'm not. I really don't get any true breaks anymore. Just job to job work to work class to class. I do try to find ways to enjoy myself though.

Wow what a week. Life's a crazy rollercoaster - plenty of ups and downs eh? I think I may be shredding with Ben for like an hour today. It all depends on when I have a business trip.

In other news, I quit my fraternity for the rest of the semester. The guys in it now are extremely lame and require too many sacrifices to keep up with, so I needed a break. Besides, the meetings are scheduled during the hottest parties of the year and Planet Earth (Sundays at 8: check it out; this week is Forest and Fresh Water!). Part of me feels sad about it but more of me is just frustrated with the whole situation.

This girl frustrates me. I think I'm frustrated fairly easily though. And I can't lie, I really love it anyways.

I am almost done with Castaneda's books.. I'm on the 9th one finally, which is the last of the first series. I'll kind of be glad to be done with them when I finish. They are so good but they've taken this whole school year to read.

I'm psyched - I have a phat keg race to go to tonight AND a double house party tomorrow night. Then Sunday night I'll be watching Planet Earth - this week we get to see birdface again, which is the most amazing animal I've ever seen in my life. You should check it out. And then next week I have the last week of school, which will be similar to this week I'm sure.

I need to find a job asap. Kind of stressing me out actually.

I need a tan too don't I? Hmm.

You know what really bothers me? People who call you and then initiate phone tag but will never leave a message, instead calling you 5 times over and over again simply to relay a simple message!

But really it doesn't matter anyways.

I'm excited about this weekend. I still might shred today but I'm leaning towards no because I'm not feeling like it would be a good day to shred.

I wrote some poems today. I hadn't written in like.. 2 years. I also saw Rozie today and didn't feel anything, which was really nice. I'm glad to have her out of my life actually.

if asked to remember

twisting, turning
look at your hands
broken dishwasher
nagging at yourself
the handle jiggles
the sky is open

cut the valve
conserve energy
black and blue
cold with truth

tell me you forgot
i sit around
forgetting you

we're sitting, shaking
empty plates
shallow sentences
ringing forever
outside it should be raining
washing white walls
i broke my back

tell me it's over
but i know you'll forget

untitled

who gave me this rainbow sneeze?
follows me wherever i go
turns air to dust
tell me to go home.

who handed this to me?
why did i take it?
looking for a pot of gold
all i get is a pot of mold

why did i sleep with rainbow sneeze?
it tricked me again
the grass is always greener
till the day that i die.

should i pass this off?
left is love
but love is blind
make it apparent
and i swear they'll still come.

goodbye rainbow sneeze
i will see you again
when my grass is dying.

untitled

hello me of yesteryear
i may be everything that you fear
but i think i'm okay.

i may not remember the way you are
it seems i have gone very far
but i think i'm okay.

say hello to mom and dad
i would but i am sad
do i think you're okay?

listen to me now - i am still alive
experience all you can fit in your life
and i think you'll be okay.

sigh... hm.

have you read any books my joe meno? im reading this one now called "boy detective fails" and its really good.

when will we get to hang out again? feel like making a trip to nashville this summer?

i was actually talking about a girl who got me sick, yeah.

a keg race means that there are teams and each team is trying to drink their keg before the other ones. that actually got busted so we went to a different party and there were a lot of fights so we went home.

and yeah, we have a LOT of drinking games. landmine, beer pong, flip cup, circle of death, asshole, beer darts, beer foosball, beer 'n bb guns, liquor luges, and a bunch of random ones too. i'm pretty constantly partying because i figure i have the rest of my life to not party.

i haven't read any by joe meno no, what's that book about?

nashville would be phat as shit. i might ask around and see if my friends are interested.

planet earth tonight! birdface to the face. should be a good one. feels bad that this is the last weekend of the year.

Shit! May 19th is the weekend that my friend's graduation party is in Philly.

Life's been crazy. No footbag for a while now. Today was the last day of exams. I will most likely be making As and Bs. I have been not-sober for over two months now. Next week I think I'm taking a short break. Need to gather my thoughts and everything. Everyday is a whole lot more of everything.

WELL HELLO MODIFIED! What a grand entrance. I have nothing to back it up. The semester is now over. I got 4 As and a B. So for the most part the stress is over. Still haven't found a job. I'm honestly not really looking all that hard though. I like being lazy too much. The girl who was tormenting me is away for a month. I know if she was here I'd be spending most of my days with her. It's kind of nice to get a break though. Sitting around and gathering my thoughts is nice.

As far as reading goes, I finished the 9th Castaneda book a long while ago and then I read Phil Lesh's Searching for the Sound book about the Grateful Dead in like three days. I'm currently reading Dawkins' The God Delusion and Stephen Hawking's Brief History of Time. And I have this strange desire to read some sci-fi but I haven't chosen which book to read yet. For some reason sci-fi makes me happy. It's gotta have something to do with expanding our definition of what is real. I like doing that as well.

As far as footbag goes, I haven't played in a LONG time - but I will play next week I think. My ankle never healed correctly. It doesn't hurt unless it cracks, which is fairly often but not often enough to really be a huge problem. My whole body is one huge collection of problems that should probably be checked out but never get checked out because of lack of money, time and effort. All in all I like it.

I started smoking cigarettes. Not a whole lot a whole lot of the time, but just a few every day. For a while I was smoking a pack a day, but I cut it back a whole lot. They're bad news. Just bad news all around. However, I don't really want to quit them. I enjoy them too much.

Summer in a small town is killer. You have all this time to think about your life and everything you want to do, but you never go do anything. I probably need to take a road trip and go travelling or something. That or another acid trip. I'd prefer to do both if possible! Finding interesting hallucinogens around small towns is incredibly hard. I pretty much take what comes along.

Well, that's pretty much my update - grades, girls, reading, footbag, and drugs. Sounds about right.

Congrats on the grades man. Nice stuff.
I hate having free time unless it's filled with something. It's too, dreary. I don't know. Personal preference. 8 )

Bad luck on the cigarettes though. 8 / Those'll probably kill your stamina. Looking forward to possibly shredding this weekend though!

Yeah the cigarettes are bad but I've cut down and I even quit for two days over the weekend. Sorry I never called you Alan, I was busy with family stuff most of the weekend and actually forgot shoes - just had my Rainbows.

Class starts in a few hours for the summer. I'm taking an Anthropology course, which should be interesting.

Don't worry about it man. In all honesty I wouldn't have been able to play anyways. A mixture of shin splints(Bad ones), a crisis that arose on Saturday, and simply not being allowed so it's all good. Next time though, just give me a shout!

I am having a bout with insomnia tonight. Thought I would write in the blog...

This summer I am taking Anthropology with a friend of mine, Ben, who also shreds with me sometimes. I think we will be getting into that this week. The class is pretty boring but the material is cool.

I recently took a short weekend trip to Pennsylvania with a group of my friends to celebrate my friend graduating with his relatives and homegroup of friends. It was a pretty good trip.

I am incredibly scatter brained tonight. Wow.

Thanks Chris. Did you ever get a camera to take a picture of the piece you had at New Years Jam? I still want a shot of that thing!

Watched Sick 03 today. Definitely want to shred sometime soon. I need to lose some weight actually, so playing would be good. My ankle never really fully recovered though. I'm wondering if playing on it while it was still injured fucked it up. It doesn't hurt really - it just cracks a lot. I'm wondering if it will be painful to play on. My left clipper is going to take a LOT of work - and I don't know if I have the time and patience to do that these days.

The girl is back in town. Called today asking for "dank, not shwag - you know?" Good luck with that, honey - Gvegas is basically dry for the summer, so you take what you can get! But anyways, she was in Houston for a little over a month. I think I've actually been avoiding her. While she was away I thought about all of the bullshit she pulls. I've decided she's mostly unhealthy for me. But the real test is probably going to happen when I actually see her. Because as fucking frustrating as she is, I usually put up with it for some reason. I don't know why. I don't know anything!

I remember the days when I used to surf modified everyday, and post everyday and whatnot. I'd like to say that I still love footbag as much now as I used to. For that matter, I would like to think that I still love jazz and trombone as much today. But I think it's a combination of finding additional hobbies and attending school and finally choosing a specialization.

Speaking of journalism (my major), I need to apply for a job at my school paper ASAP. I've been putting that off for a while now. I've been putting off applying for ANY jobs. I know I need to get on it, but I'm just so lazy. Had a discussion with my mother today about everything, and she seemed dissapointed by my lack of passion for finding a job this summer.

Reading Neuromancer now. Just finished The Man in the High Castle. It was a very good read. Ending kind of threw me for a loop.

Oh, I have a suggestion for everyone - The 5-Hour Energy Drink. It's a shot of juice-like-tasting-stuff that has 10,000% of your Daily Vitamin B, and it gives you roughly five hours of energy with (the best part) NO CRASH! And you're not jittery - you're able to concentrate on stuff. I've been taking it before playing racquetball and it gives me a lot of extra energy. I'm definitely going to take it and shred this week sometime, I'll write about how it went next time. You can find them at gas stations - they're little red/white/yellow bottles usually up by the front. We only have them at HESS Stations.

Anyways, I'm going back to bed now.

Yeah I wasn't going after her to date her or anything. She's ridiculous anyways. Far more than I would ever write in here.

Shredded today. Miserable time with my legs. Did hit far pickup out of the blue, which was nice.
