Makin' bags?
Makin' bags?
Do you hafta start making your own bags if you want to really get into "shredding"?
That's just the general impression i get from looking around and so far it's really frustrating...

Re: Makin' bags?
To start off with, you might consider going to FreedomFootbags.com and purchasing a $7 Mr. Sandbag. A ton of people start off with that bag and then get a 32 panel later on. If you don't want a good sandbag, this thread has a list of some stitchers and prices for hand made 32 panel bags.
Yes, a bunch of players stitch, and a bunch of players buy bags from other people who stitch.
Good luck on the bag search.

It's really old and super broke in and amazing, but it has so many holes and patches that i'm gonna need a new one.

Did ppl even pay attention to his post?
He DOESN'T want to stitch. I can't blame him, it takes a lot of time and effort.
I don't stitch because it's way too time consuming. I buy bags from people. IMO there are too many stitchers these days and to some degree a dilution of talent.
If you live near Travis Iden you are set because he makes frickin SWEET bags. Make sure you both come to the Texas Statewide tournament in Houston this fall:

It's going to be awesome.

No, you DON'T have to stitch to be into shredding. I mainly only sew footbags because I like sewing and have the time. Personally I think it's amazing so many footbaggers have the time. Best advice, get a good, reliable bag, and have fun. Don't bother with something that will make you miserable.

I don't stitch. I'm also not that great a shredder, but that's besides the point.

Stitching allows me to feel more involved in my actually footbag game. Each accomplishment is that much sweeter because i hit that trick with a bag that I made myself. Its also probably the most relaxing things I do. I usually stitch for about an hour before i go to bed everynight. Somedays I stitch all day instead of playing footbag. Thats the only thing about stitching is that I do it instead of play a lot like Holly said.
