is today gonna be different than any other day? hells yah...

monday, brian and i went and shred in the spot we found. its humid in tennessee but im getting better at footbag. i hit my longest string today of 7 contacts... not much but it felt good. we used my new speakers and it was sweet.

could someone tell me what a "symple" legover is?

went to dicks and bought shred shorts and sports bands. we got home and george had finally told mom and dad hes proposing to christina tuesday (today). he got her a really pretty engagement ring and its .25karat white gold with 3 diamonds. i hope he doesnt fuck it up.

brian and i are going to work around 11 and workin till 5 or so. then steve is going with us to eat sushi and we are staying the night at his place. well probably knock back a few, smoke, and play video games. fuck yes. there couldnt be a better birthday (other than brians 21st at worlds).

there is some news about my footbags. i went to hello kitty and to make a long story short, i found an anchor stamp! ive tested it on bags, and the logo wears off over time, but thats okay.. its still rad. all bags going to worlds will have this logo (except the 3 ive already made). the first person to receive a bag with this logo will be erik chan... i will post a picture when its finished. nathan pipenberg gave us some amaretta suede and im making some bags for myself... and maybe a gift for someone at worlds. i do plan on making facile gift bags for henry, penske, peng, mosher, and a prize bag. i need to be getting busy.

keep your eyes out for the new logo bags!!!! theyre RAD!

so its time for a tour of holly and brians room.

over view...

we'll start with brians shit pile. a mix of yoyo collection, footbag collection, toys, and dvds.

hollys collection

stitching stuff. facile, amaretta, lead, steel, scale... tons of junk.

our shoe bins. just got em yesterday. there are only 3-4 pairs of shoes we own that arent footbag shoes.

my amps... mostly forgotten to this weeks new flavor.

brians art... usually posted in the background of new bags posts...

brians toy drawer... many not shown.

brians 500$ yoyo collection... another 400$ worth of yos not arrived...

gaming station. wii, ps2, GC, and gameboys are rampant.

whew. stay out of here. lots of shit piled in to conserve junk space.

hello modified!

ive been bummed out. i broke my glasses yesterday and took them to the optometrist this morning and they put my lenses in some weird frames until my new ones come in the mail. these temporary ones are brown with like pink/green/purple/navy stripes.... YUCK!

also yesterday i got stung by a bee or a wasp... i didnt see the insect. anyway my arm has become swollen to almost double its width and its really red/purple. fuck. its only gotten worse since yesterday so if it doesnt get better in the next day im gonna have to go to the doctor. on the bright side, they could end up amputating my arm and i could get handicap parking!!!! lol... they wont have to amputate... im just trying to make myself feel better.

ive been in contact with josh raye lately, and hes staying with us at worlds! (i think ive already mentioned this) hes one of my favorite people ive met in footbag. my other favorites are mosher, tom k, zeke, reile, henry, kolo, seb, ianek (canadians are awesome), and david wilder. i cant wait to meet so many more people at worlds! im excited to meet peng, penske, vaska (duh), honza, erik chan, johnny, and shreditas (i have no idea what girls are gonna be there).

i have an uncle that works at NASA in orlando... so im hoping to meet up with him. i saw him 2 years ago for a couple hours... and before that it was like 7 years since i had seen him. maybe he'll let me and brian tour NASA! i wonder if a shuttle lifts off while we are there...

our school has been remodeling and we have a PERFECT shred spot outside now! sweeeeeet!

i better get back to work... gotta make some money for worlds!

These have helped me a ton:

ATW (in to out) > pixie> repeat
ATW (out to in) > pickup> repeat (this one felt really awkward at first)

And the previously mentioned mirage > legover > repeat is great, too

so i shredded yesterday in lavers. just to see if i could, and because all that gruff about climas being bad or whatev.

some nice tilt, not much guilt. real close to boulder beater. like REAL close. i got tired too fast tho... stupid humiditiy and health...

i think my av was about 10 contacts in lavers. its pretty close to the same with climas, but i dont bail as much in climas... but my osii were pretty on, which is much dif from climas... i need to play more is the solution. i should drill bop alot more than i do. to get endurance up...

were gonna change our room situation, and move over to a dif one in hollys house. its gonna be orange. and cyan. pretty cool, and its a bigger room. hopefully it will be nicer than this one.

bags ive made are really nice. i wish i could keep em all. im gonna make one for holly, then some orders, and then ill make one for me, then stack em up for worlds.

OH MAN!! they started bottleing vanilla coke again. its sooooo good. i wish i could drink soda til i aspllode. but i need to drink less soda...

guess i should do something... i should probably make a footbag... i started one today, and im just not feeling this bag. probably just put it away, and come back later for it.

had a horrible day. went to work and that was fine. on the way to work i realized i left my cell phone at home and i couldnt find my new footbag. my arm isnt getting much better from that sting... but we'll see. got off work and my car wouldnt start. had to get the director of student life to jump it. we let it run for about 20-30 minutes and got on the interstate to head home. the only good thing about the day was brian found my footbag! my car stalled in the middle of 5 lanes. during rush hour. brian got out and pushed while i did the brakes and steering. brian is the best boyfriend ever. we got to the shoulder and waited about half an hour then a TDOT truck drove up. TDOT does highway automobile responses. he jumped me off so i could drive to the next exit where it was safer. we got to the exit and it stalled again. by this time brian was almost sick from all the pushing in the heat and humidity. A fat guy in a van stopped and helped Brian push me into the nearest parking lot (a MIDAS parking lot). Things were looking good considering we just ended up in a car fixing place. But no. They closed at 5:30 and we got there at 5:40. Them bastards. By this time my fdad thought the battery or the alternater were the problem. Mom picked us up and we rode home... leaving my car there. Got a KFC bucket and started to eat dinner. My little brother is an arrogant asshole. The dog shit in his room and he was expecting me to clean it up. I told him "fuck you" and my mom started talking to me like I'm shit. I just walked out of the house and ate my KFC in our garden alone. Dad got me a gold top battery and we just got back from putting it in my car and driving it home. my dad kicks ass. got home and had a PM from the outsider. he likes nasa so i guess we are cool. he wants to see a shuttle launch at worlds and the scheduling might turn out that way. i told him if one launches while we are there then he can join us and take the tour of nasa with us. got a PM from penske too... turns out someone stole a bag i made him while he was at the montana jam. he doesnt think its a freestyler who took it... but he said he was in a circle and it just disappeared. i hate theives. who would steal a bag from jim penske?! anyway i plan on making him a couple for worlds.

im fucking beat. ive cried way too much for one day. peace.

ps. if you read that huge paragraph... i give you kudos. i wouldnt have read it. fuck, i didnt even go back and proof read it.

what a day. it sounds like holly is explaining it in the other room to you all, so i will just comment on some nice/not so nice stuff that happened to us, and ill fill in the stuff if holly missed it.

i bent my grind machine2. i bounced my 100$ yoyo off my shelf. its the most fragile yo i own, so i was kinda distraught for most of the morning. it was a beast. now it sleeps...

then i emailed the yoyo company guy (yyfben) and he said he'd replace it because it happens to everyone, and its too fragile to start with. he also offered to refund it, or send me a new one. or.... send me a new unreleased yoyo. which i opted for. so thats awesome.

holly left her phone at home today. and lost a footbag (i found it!). she loses everything.

we worked until it was time to move our work over to the dorms, and when we went to the car, it was dead. battery dead. wouldnt even crank once. nothing.

so we walked to work, worked, jumped the car, and started home. car died a few miles down the (interstate) and we were stuck in the middle of the road. caution lights didnt work, battery is dead. fuck.

so i pushed the car to the side of the road. then i managed to hit motion, and far motion, and almost locomotion in hopes my kick dance would revive the car. ... alas, it did not.

tdot (tennessee department of transportation) road help shows up and jumps us. we get to the bottom of an exit, and it died again. some guy helped me push the car up a incline, and into a midas. i tore up my clima tring to get traction on the oil stained surface of the red light stop zone.
i had never done anything so trying of my strength ever. and i wrestled varsity in HS, and i try to be a hardcore footbagger.

after that, it was pretty much easy. hollys dad got us a battery, and hollys mom picked us up and went home for dinner. went back out and fixed the car, and drove home.

during dinner, i got a call on my phone from "call". hmmm.... i answered it hoping it wasnt some fuck in jail, or someone i hate. turns out it was my step mom from okinawa japan. my brother lives there with his family, and my dads family (wife, daughter, mother in law) had gone to visit! i spoke with dad and terry for a min, then my bro

i havent talked to my brother in four years. he was in the marines, now hes just settled in japan. it was really cool to talk to him. i told him of footbag, and my new lifestyle. (i was a metal kid in HS, with the geetar skillz, and i was pretty resentful of life). he sounds happy with his housewife and three kids (hes 10 years older than me, turning 3-0 this year i believe). holly and i might go see him in a few years, and he's visiting in a few months!! i cant wait. both my older brothers are the best! i should go see my brother that lives in TN....

but thats the gist of today, being the most stressful day for holly ever. i dont stress very easily, theres nothing to get mad about, or worry, because if you live to see tomorrow, then you can do anything. luckily, im a big boy and can push cars and do tricks on the side of the road for passerbys. im tired.
