The answer to the second one is x != +/- 9. (read: x does not equal plus or minus nine). The domain of a function is all the x's which 'go through' and give an answer. Plus and minus nine square to give 81, and then 81 - 81 makes for division by zero, which gives no answer. Any other x works. Don't worry about the top of the fraction for questions like these. Just find if / when some x will force division by zero.

The first one... what's the deal? What are you supposed to do? Unless I'm missing something (entirely possible) it's just a giant mess for you to simplify.

the first one is just a silly one that im not even sure has an answer, i jsut wanted to see if someone was going to try and firgure it out ....

heh, i bombed my final exam anyway.

got a 63...fortunatley in my other classes i recieved an 80, 82, 89, and a 95 in United States History.....yeah, thats right...i know who the first president of the U.S. was....abraham Lincoln.
