first footbag injury :(
I sprained my ankle playing today. I was doing flying toe stalls when I came down so hard on my foot my ankle just gave out. It sucked. Having sprained my ankle repeatedly playing basketball over the years I can tell that this is a minor one and it will take me less than I week to be back in top form (or at least to whatever form I was in prior to the injury). I am progressing slowly, no doubt due to my horrible level of commitment, but it is still fun to get out and shred and so I will soldier on. On the plus side I might be able to sit out ballet class tomorrow. It's fun and all but a little break would be nice.

It's been a while since I posted.

Today I was at a NYFA session at a dance studio and this guy Josh Penney showed up who I haven't seen for about six months. He said he hadn't been playing at all. Then he proceeded to hit ripwalk>ripwalk and then a bunch of five add stuff and shit I didn't know. It was a little disheartening. When I told him this he confided in me that it took him four years to hit blur. I asked him what blur was, he told me, and then five minutes later I hit it, and then hit it on my flipside. That felt pretty fucking cool, not knowing a move at all and then hitting it both sides five minutes later (especially since I've only been playing 1 year and not 4 and Josh is damn good). Footbag can be so rewarding. I've been playing 2-3 times a week and my game is progressing slowly but surely. I can't wait for the summer to come when there well be hours and hours of gorgeous daylight to shred in each day.

I hit ripwalk>ripwalk for the first time today. That felt pretty neat.

haven't posted in over a year - crazy. haven't played too much footbag either. but the sun is out again and summer's here so it's time to get back into it. I made my first ever video yesterday.

I need to work on shredding tiltless, I can do it if I concentrate but often my string length goes down. I guess it's just a matter of practice, practice, practice.

Woah!! It's Hugh Martin making a post?! You might not remember me since I've only met you once at Rochester New Year's Jam, but Tom speaks fondly of you. I was just recently thinking to myself if you still played footbag. I'm glad you are!

Props on footing ripwalk bsos. It was a nice video. Tom's going to be so stoked to see this!

It really makes me happy that you still play.

When do we get to collide again?
