Size of panels for a 32?

Post by Doughy »

I just finished making my first bag, a 14 panel. Took me 3 tries to get it right, but it still turned out much smaller than expected.

Next I am going to try a 32 panel. What length should I make the edges of the pentagon to end up with a bag approximately the size of a golf ball?

This is hard. I can't remember the sizes on my templates. :(

Pents: .68
Hex long: .72/.86 (former recommended imo)
Hex short: 33%

It's a broad estimate, but I believe this is what I use.
