Good advice. Warm up before you stretch, and break every 20 mins or so for some more muscle work.
Another good one for the calf is to put your toes on the wall with your heel on the floor, the lean into it to stretch the calf.
Hope the pain goes away soon Alex!
I've played a bit with my brother Joel over the last couple days. He is still a little one-sided but is working on it. He did hit his first 4 (Torque) and 5 (Pdx Dada Curve) yesterday, so go him!
I've been doing ok... there are so many things I want to work on right now, and that has me pretty excited to solo session more.
Hope to play with you all soon!

Sorry for the double post but I thought I'd recap the little session Josh and I had this afternoon.
Well, I woke up today hoping someone had answered my thought of playing footbag this weekend. Alas, there was nothing, so I decided to play video games. At 2:30 I get a call from Josh requesting a little footbag playing. I scramble to gather my footbag apparel and meet Josh at the nipple in time for playing. I leave my house at 2:45. I'm off to the nipple and I get get there within 15 minutes. Josh, driving, was a bit late trying to find the nipple. Apparently it doesn't look like nipple...I think it looks like a footbag temple. Josh thinks it looks like a castle turret. Either way, we met up and began our session. Josh had to leave early (4:45) for some evening plans at home. That left little time for shred. We both stepped up our game for the little time we played. Very few long tiltless runs by Josh, I think there was one, and that was because some lady was watching
Maybe 3-4 toe-toe tiltless runs for myself. I mainly worked on clipper and random other stuff. Josh pulled out his handy-dandy drill list, picked one, tried it a few times and then moved to the next one. I don't exactly remember what highlights there were from Josh's side because all the names and such still confuse the hell outta me. I know he gave rubberman a few tries, he tried various drills with DLO, drifter, ripwalk, eggbeater? Argh, I don't remember...Damn, I should have remembered it too!! Lame...Anyway, I pretty much screwed around with clippers a lot and then got into gyros and spins. Alas, 4:45 came so soon and Josh had to leave. I decided to stay a bit and practice spins and gyros. I did. I did good side spins and gyros, not landing them but setting and spinning well enough, and then worked on my flip. Without water I couldn't do much more so I headed to Wendy's to grab a burger and frosty then I went home.
Sorry for the long post, but I always wanted to make a long post that just rambles on about something that could have been summed up in like...2 lines

Sibling shred is the absolute funnest!!Lackey82 wrote:I've played a bit with my brother Joel over the last couple days.
I miss it a lot when I see videos of the Monhollon brothers. And when I hear about other shred siblings. Noah Jay-Bohnn and Savanna Jay-Bohnn come to mind. Actually, another brother said he was interested just last night, and ANOTHER brother said he was interested too, and I gave him a bag for his soccer-team friend. The brother that used to play with me got knee pain also, and that's why he stopped
I've had a lot of crappy injuries that have prevented me from playing for LOONNG periods of time, that's why I cringe when other people talk about pain.
FAT reunion in Winnipeg in 4 days!! Adam's coming to shred, and then ShrEdmonton for the weekend

Sorry I'm not around this weekend. I may have forgotten to mention that I'm in Hamilton until monday. Hope you're all having a great session!
I just got back from playing with Jorden. He gave me some great tips on clipper, spinning clipper and stepping. I hit tap down, blur, ducking pdx. mirage and phoenix. My first 5!

Props Mike! Thats some awesome stuff - can't wait to see some of it in action!

Thanks ALex and Erik! I promise to hit all those moves flip! I'm very close to flip blur!
EDIT: I'm playing tonight (monday) at 10 ish. Don't know exactly where yet. If anybody is up for another late session, let me know.

Also, I met with my computer-genious friend over the weekend about the website. I don't know if I told everybody this already, but I've hired him to make our website extra cool! It will retain the current look and feel, only any of us will be able to upload content, ie: photos, imbeded video, blogs, profiles, articles. And we will all be able to post comments on everything too.

Wow Mike! That's awesome news!
I was thinking about this: Maybe we should have a guestbook page on the site. That way random people that we give flyers to could post about how they saw us, where and when, etc. We could also have a request for them to sign on all the flyers we make. I thought it would be cool to have people we don't know say hello and tell us about how we blew their minds with footbag.
