School's still going on for you? That sucks.

You should make a video soon.

Class days ended a week ago, but we have to go in to take either finals or regents.

I've been acing Chemistry all year, so this is a total relief knowing that I'm getting a good grade to end the testing week.

Hey folks. Here’s a room tour from me, with 2 rooms! There’s nothing in my room, and I spend most of my time in the basement, so I thought I should do both.

Image

Cool. So, this is my room. It’s pretty boring, which is why I’m never in here. Basically, I sleep here and don’t come back in until the next night. The bed never gets made (by me). Hoodie I had on a couple days ago on the floor.

Image

View from bed; my right leg in view. Bookcase, chair and my dresser in the background.

Image

Close up of my bookcase.
Bottom shelf: My limited book collection; I don’t read that much (There are more books in my closet, but they’re like, Hardy Boys and whatnot).
Middle shelf: A hat that I made in elementary school of a dude about to get eaten by a shark, along with book jackets for Alphabet of Manliness (in my bathroom) and Half-Blood Prince (at Will’s house somewhere). A shitty radio and light also seen.
Top shelf: Hall of fame book I’ve had for a while. The first, and only homerun ball I hit in little league, plus my dad’s no-hitter ball from 40 years ago. My US state’s coin book and a Tupac book are there too.

Image

View of the top of my bookcase. A GameInformer from a couple months ago, school pictures from last year on right. My World’s 2007 booklet and swipe card on top of a bootleg copy of 300 my uncle gave me. That little coin is something my grandma gave me when my grandpa passed away. Crossword puzzle and a quiz for my computer programming class. Those 2 matted pictures were my final project for my art class last year.

Image

Painting over my bed that I’ve had for as long as I can remember that’s over my bed. My mom painted the walls and the ceiling when I was a kid; some of the cloud designs are pretty boss.

Image

My closet. World’s 2007 shirt in prominent view. I only have about 4 shirts that I wear, and 2 pairs of pants. I don’t care about what I wear at all; as long as it’s clean, I’ll throw it on.

Alright, let’s take a trip down to the real room!

Image

Coming down the stairs….. Bannister that gets slid down every once and a while. Man that’s dirty.

Image

Coming around the corner….

Image

Here we are. The pool table is what you would probably first notice. My dad and I haven’t played in a while, but when we are into it, we play about 5 games a night. My Wiimote with dead batteries next to it. I’m waiting for Super Mario Galaxy to get new batteries for it. Camera with tripod set up to film; I use it for form checks, since I can’t put the footage on my computer. My mom painted these walls too, and you’ll see a lot of random BMX posters since I used to ride. Return of the King poster in background, since LotR is awesome.

Image

View you get once you turn to the right; the real meat of the room. Dehumidifier that never gets used is poking it’s head out from under the table on the right. Big open area for shredz.

Image

My current pair of lavers. Pillow that goes to the couch and my sleeping bag as well.

Image

Couch with glare. Blanket and pillow because I slept down here last night. Remote that goes to CD player. The couch used to be green, but my mom reupholstered it.

Image

Entertainment center. I’ve used up all four slots in my system selector with (in order of system select): Xbox, PS2, Wii, and Xbox 360. Wii sensor bar on top of the TV and Xbox controller next to it. No clue what’s on TV right now.

Image

Window that gets opened every session. Hess trucks from when I was a kid; I refuse to take them down.

Image

Bookcase that my mom made for me, which is probably the most useful thing down here. Guitar Hero controller on the left, 360 controller on top, along with Final Fantasy VIII I borrowed from my friend and have yet to play.

Image

My CD collection and CD player. Economic papers that I didn’t want to file, so I put them down here. Block of wood on the right. I’m usually pretty anal about putting CDs back in their proper place (Alphabetically, then by order of release), but lately I’ve been in a rush when I was getting a CD.

Image

GameInformer and GamePro magazines. I have so many more of each, but I put them in my closet because the piles were way too heavy. I have like, 5 years worth of RideBMX in the basement closet that I put away when I stopped riding. Crash Bandicoot doll that my friend gave me.

Image

My first pair of Lavers in between the couch and bookcase. They only get used when my newer pair are upstairs and I just want to try something real quick. Bag for the camera next to them.

Image

My current game collection; 50+. I should have more, but I used to sell a lot of games to buy a newer one, which resulted in me buying games I used to own multiple times (I’ve bought TimeSplitters 2 at least 3 times). Personal favorites include Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee, and Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones. Currently playing Orange Box, Half-Life 2: Episode Two.

Image

Movie collection, not big at all, but whatever. Champion’s League is the only shred video I own. Seinfeld seasons 1 – 7 are excellent, and I recommend everyone watch as much as possible. Dilbert is pretty funny and was underrated. I love Spongebob, but Season one is probably the worst. I’m planning on buying the later seasons sometime in the future.

Image

The best box in the bookcase. PS1 controllers, neither of which were originally mine. I hate using the one without analog sticks, but it’s the only one that will work with Oddworld. My current bag collection is 100% Clavens (there’s a dead Sandmaster in the corner, but I’m not counting that one.). The Green/Red/Yellow one is 7 months old, and is still pretty good. The Green/Yellow one was bought at Worlds and is super awesome. The Blue/Grey one was bought at Cornell and is starting to get really awesome, and is my current favorite. Glasses case for bag travel, Xbox live box and mic, batteries (may be dead), and a letter from David I got with the first bag I got from him.

So, those are my rooms. Hope you enjoyed it, and hopefully you learned a little about me from this.

Bonus pic:

This is where all my shit goes that has no other place. This is mostly LEGO, including a sweet town my friend and I made many years ago. The partially opened box has all my copies of RideBMX which I read once in a while. Hopefully I won’t ever have to sort this out.

Today, for one more minute, I have been playing footbag for 2 years. I was gonna do a big reflective post on how far I've come in the last year, but just decided to thank a few people.

Zac, for talking to me online all the time

Mike, for being a good motivator; still need to meet face to face man.

Will, for being my shred buddy.

David, for helping me a lot last year and being a cool guy.

Thanks guys, and I expect to see all 4 of you in a couple months.
