Good starter shoes?

Post by Beezer »

I'm fairly new and planning on getting my first pair of shred shoes. I'd like to get some that don't require a lot of big mods. I've been researching shoes for a while and it seems like lavers are the favorite, but I also read a little about G Units, Climacools, Quantums, and some others in the "Possible shred shoes" topic. What should I get??!!!!

Yeah, I would say that Lavers (Adidas: Rod Laver) are still the definitive footbag shoe. Make sure that you get the mesh style (as opposed to leather, or some other material..).

the lavers are deffinately a rockin shred shoe. they even teach you how to lace em up good at http://worldfootbag.com/catalog2/showgroup/clothing# ...just click the link in the description of the shoe.
as for the g-units, which offer a little more support, this is a wicked mod tutorial... http://modified.in/footbag/viewtopic.ph ... highlight= , and the shoe looks sick. :D

I would never recommend Gunits for a new person to use. They could promote a lazy and poor clipper style.

gunits have a bigger toe surface than lavers when you get into the smaller sizes. the toe on a gunit mens size 7 is acutally larger than my laver size 7s by a significant amount. lavers are probably awesome for you people with larger feet... but the toe area on lavers in my size is too small. i know i have horrible clippers and what i need to do to fix them... but i dont feel like my shoes are the problem. thats just my opinion though and youre entitled to yours.

There are many threads on what shoes are good for footbag, all of them have a unanimous conclusion: Lavers. If some-one is stupid enough to believe one single post which is obviously apparent that some-one is mouthing off and being stupid, then quite frankly... it's their fault for being so ignorant to believe everything they read.
