yeah, your blog is awesome, I'd love to see some footage. this is great dragon stuff you're doing. props for pushing the game. Even the dragonslayer himself loves it!

jon is the man. This side of the game would be so less developed without him.

hope to play with you some day!

Hey thanks you guys, expected no one to reply.

Yeah jon is the reason i do dragons and Irish is the reason i play footbag. Its kind of funny, about a month ago i was kicking with the regular people i do and i tried some clippers and they started laughing, i was like what? and he just said its weird to see you do clippers, haha.

Its hard for me to get a hand on a camera, but my girlfriend has a picture camera that can also do vids, but without sound... She moved out of the dorm recently and it is somewhere among her vast piles of clothes and other things. To make the story short ill try to find it sometime soon, whenever i could actually see her this summer, which is maybe a couple days a week due to my ambitious class taking this summer and work for both of us.

Actually have you heard of that mountain dew/pepsi sweepstakes thingy? Well there are codes under the tops of pepsi, mountain dew, and sierra mist and one of the prizes i am trying to get is a Panasonic camera, so if you have some of those codes and plan on not using them PM them please. Much appreciated.

I promise to get a video out by the end of june. A couple pages back is a video which is pretty crappy and im better from then but its not too bad, roughly a min.

As for worlds, still looks like a no for me :(

Hit something new after fooling around in socks for a while yesterday night:
- miraging flail bs
- illusioning flail one side only (toe set massacre)

strapped on the lavers and did some kicking today, really drilled dragon stepping as much as i could.

New stuff:
-dragon > crispy dragster > dragonosis > far legover > PLO > dragon > crispy dragon > dragonosis (that is bsos crispy dragster)
-dragon > crispy torque dragon > far legover > dragon > crispy torque dragon > barely caught the bag with my hand, another bsos but i will seal it with some move later
-firefly > dragon stepping legover > plo > firefly (want to do this drill, going to happen soon)

do you stall your dragons at the cuff of the shoe on the ankle or on the outside surface of the shoe or at the heel of the outside surface of the shoe?

the bag usually falls in that little place below the ankle and on the edge of shoe, about half of the bag is on the shoe. I find that the edge of the shoe makes it a little easier for setting.
Although sometimes it stalls on the middle of the outside of the shoe or sometimes near the toe, but its all good. I drill sometimes stalling to each location of the shoe: near toe, middle of shoe, and on the heel / ankle.

Sweet! I watched those videos from pg2 last night, holy crap! I thought I kept up with this blog fairly often, so I was really surprised to have missed those vids. The gyro flipwalk attempt was gnarly.

2 requests for your video:
1) I wanna see some pteradons or other dragon double-downs. Those have got to be super awesome. I have never seen one before.
2) You gotta use Dragonforce's "Heart of a Dragon" as the background music. Or another song by Dragonforce.

This video is going to kick sooooo much ass. I get a tingly sensation on the back of my neck just thinking about it.

Update: got about 2 mins of some stuff that might be good ;) - no i wont be using dragonforce, very sad, but picked another song - what i got now i am proud of - new stuff has been hit, will be on vid

my sister actually came up to maine from hawaii, so the vid may be on hold for a couple weeks, but probably not. The cord that connects the computer to the camera is still missing, but i found a way around which is using my dads computer to transfer files to his drive because it has plugs for the memory cards. THis has cut down significantly on battery wastage. All i do is send it via e-mail.

Be prepared

Quite a few things happening now...

-I have class twice a week for 2 hours almost the entire summer and finals are the day worlds starts.
-I am moving out july 1st which is really soon. Going to move in with my girlfriend, we will probably lack internet so thats a bummer, no more surfing modified many times a day. Not to mention i will have to find a shred location which will be hard since i hate playing in front of people alone. Rent is only 429.00 and its right downtown, score.
-I am sick, my sister must have brought something from hawaii to here and now it sucks.
-The video is still under progress, i want to add another 8 seconds. I had to change the song because the song was way too long. It is all edited though and all i need is that new footage that needs to be hit on camera. I like the video, i have a few new hit moves and a few moves that i didnt hit. I really want to enter the online comp but i may not have time, only a couple days a week that i am off from school/work, which i plan to spend with my girlfriend since i dont see her often enough for me, soon it will be good though. Thats the reason the video is taking forever.
-I work 30 hours a week at this amazing place called target. I am required to have someone apply for a target credit card... i find that rather flawed because if i dont get enough for the amount of times that i work in a week, i may be put on probation. But if i have someone open a card, i get a piece of paper that says great job, that makes it worth it, definitely, but i get to take bottle caps for my transformyoursummer.com sweepstakes from their recycle bin, haha, fighting the man with every little liquid sealing cap.
-I dont mean to be whining, sorry to anyone reading. I do realize my life is easier than most.

Still sick, so i just rendered the video and there a few seconds at the end not filled but thats ok. Hosted on putfile, there is an option of dling it (near bottom of page), which i recommend.

Here it is:

Hope you enjoyed and how were the surging, slurry or no?

you are SICK!!! I loved that video, you hit some great tricks with dragon. I'd love to see some longer strings with dragons and clippers. Thanks for putting the time into your style to use such a lesser-used surface.

the surging looked a bit slurry to me. keep working, you'll get it. thanks again.

Hot damn that video was fun to watch!

I could not get the downloaded file to work. It was a .flv extension which neither WMP or Quicktime could make sense of. Get a normal file and I will be happy to upload it on footbag.org for you.

At which point in time you should post it in the video section, because it fucking pwns!!! Good jorb~!!

I could do longer strings with dragons but they would be boring tiltless, and i tossed clippers out a while ago. THe crank for my clippers is nonexistant. I believe dragons can be used just as clippers for shreding.

And thanks ben for hosting.

So its been a week and a half of being sick, but i feel like i am getting better. I went to the doctor a couple days ago and he gave me two prescriptions: one for conjunctiva and antibiotics. Now if any of you have taken antibiotics, you know it kills the good bacteria in your stomach so you get diarrhea, which is definitely not ideal. I have been eating as many yogurts as i can.

Ive been off of footbag for a couple weeks now and another week at least because i am going with my girlfriend and her family camping on an island off the coast of maine. Ive been there before and its great, get to set up a tent right next to the ocean. Going to be there until the 8th and then i move out completely into our new apartment.

I found a very nice spot for shredding, it is almost secluded and the ground is even and its right next to the river on a nice open area with sidewalk and grass. I claim it right now.

Oh and john called me and looks like ill be kicking with some people in a couple weeks, always a good thing. If you didnt know here are the new things that i hit from that vid recently:
-pdx fluxing dragon bs (sloppy)
-flip gyro flipwalk
-Firefly > blurry legover > plo > rpt
-rev whirling dragon > pdx illusion > rpt (weird but i never really put those two together, maybe i hit before but i didnt write about it like a lot of things that i hit)
-twisting my ankle did not hurt at all at the end of that vid

Footbag i will come back soon. For now i am going watch the christmas calendar vids again and then be off on 4th of july stuff and just the mention i may not have internet for a month at most.

see you later modified

This is my brief encounter of the internet and i am downloading a lot of vids and sifting through the pages, finding many interesting thingamajig posts. Recently i have had a session with two other people that i use to kick with, John and James, and undoubtedly i will kick with them at least one more time this summer. Funny that two kids recorded us on their phones and said they were going to post it on youtube, but i havent found it yet.

I have been working on dragon zooming (dooming), spinning, and a variety of other stuffs.
Most recent stuff i can think of:
- dooming > op dooming > ducking dragonosis > string bs
- Dragon > gyro dragon > spinning dragon bs
- hit a couple very clean spinning far symp rev whirl dragon
- infinity dragon bsos
- footed symp quantum pteradon
- scorpions tale rake
- had a couple nice and long runs
- terrage > dellusion bs
- from dragon set i almost nucleared.... the bag hit the bottom of my shorts on the way up, i think ill give this set a few tries in the future.

Havent been playing much, which is depressing me, i really have to stake out my spot for shredding... there is a plaza with some people hacky sacking, but they are those sketchy people.

Until next time,
Adam

New stuffs:

-dragon > spinning dragon > pdx illusion > rpt
-dragon > spinning pdx illusion > pixie dragonosis > pdx flail bs
-dragon > spinning pdx eggbeater
-dragon zooming > far xbdy rake > gyro toe bs
-dragonosis > stepping far legover > rpt
-frantic legover in shoes
-wonton firefly bs
-dragonosis x12
-firefly x3

All i can think of right now, dont have much time to kick or anything not to mention i lost my bag.
internet will soon be up for me

Internet is finally up and running as of yesterday, makes me happy beyond belief.
Kicked on Monday with a new guy named Chase, looks like he is serious about it. Seems like the circle of a couple people in Maine is finally getting bigger. I could hardly play that day which made me sad, i got to get back into drilling like i use to but it had a couple highlights.

-dimwalk dragon bsos
-far rev whirling dragon at the end of a string
-dragon > spinning toe kick > dragonosis (hah)

My hip is seriously bothering the last few times i tried playing...

Had a little session today, it was only 40ish mins mostly drills and then later i pulled out the camera. I got about a couple mins on camera and these are the 40 secs i thought were good enough to post.

How was the dragon spinning? and thoughts about the dooming?

Yesterday i had a good session with a big crowd of people, 3. Kicked with john and john and chase. I was told the tales of worlds and how big vasek's calves were. Everyone seemed so much better than last time i played with them. That session was 3.5 hours and the one today will most likely be just as long.
My fireflys seemed extraordinarily better and easier to hit, flipwalks left and right midstring all over the place. Dragon stepping = doned well.

Hit yesterday with the nickel bag of fun (a lot of almost hits):
- tripwalk dragon > flipwalk (rolled off the last dragon)
- spinning dragonosis > flipwalk (dream link for a while)
- PLO > firefly > flipwalk > rev whirling dragon > run
- dragon > rev montage dragon footed on bs
- dragon set spinning ducking dragon bs
- some clean dragon surging
- far symp firefly (hard!) bs
- footed dragon vortex (detox, hah)
- spitfirefly (havent hit in a while)
- flail > wonton drop (other dream link, maybe hit something out of the wonton besides ground stall)

one day ill finally hit a clean dragon torque and feel all warm and fuzzy. Right now i am writing this because i have some time between classes and probably i will update this little thingy for my own enjoyment later after this session. Hip doesnt hurt after that stretching every night.

I feel like i am now on the verge of becoming somewhat good, maybe. I wonder if there is anything to do besides stretching and soaking in warm water to remove that nasty lactic acid from the muscles faster.

Whaaa...
that stuff is sooo confusing :D
Your bothsidedness makes your dragon stuff soooooo fun to watch!
Dragon osis to stepping... or something? I dunno -- that looks intense!

And reverse whirls?? Wha... can you film some of those next time too? Such a unique game... wow.
