Have you ever owned an apple product? I've owned an ipod shuffle for about 2 1/2 years and it's been a quality product the whole way through. I'm not a raving apple fan, but I like my shuffle and am very glad i bought it. I also just a few days ago got an 8g ipod nano which I also like very much. The casing will take a beating, the battery is excellent, the playback is good, it's a good product.

500$ for a phone is just ignorant though. It will end up costing you upwards of 1.5k at the end of a year with additional costs.

The thing is, it's not JUST a phone. It's an iPod, too. And with the widescreen it is geared toward video. It has a touchscreen. It runs Mac OS X. It is NOT overpriced. People will use these things as much more than a phone. Have you checked how much other "smart phones" cost? I really have no clue. i'm guessing maybe $200? I personally think the extra price is fully justafiable because you're getting a lot more than a phone.

You replace words such as expensive with ignorant, yet you are the ignorant ones for even judging the product before you've tried it out yourself. That makes so much god damn sense... doesn't it now...

Just because a product is expensive, doesn't mean the buyer is ignorant. It means the buyer, has a good job, and is willing to pay for a good product. Buying the iPhone for $500 is not ignorant, however buying $500 worth of Playboy magazines is, because you can get that shit for free online, with your new iPhone.

It's easily one of the most user-friendly phones ever made, yet still the most advanced phone ever made. Computer/iPod/Cell phone, all in one. No other phone in the world can do that yet, and ESPECIALLY, not with a 24 hour music playback batter, like the iPhone has.

Quit hating just because of the fact that you can't afford it.

iPod = $250
Smart phones = $150-$250
Micro computers with insanely good wireless downloads and actual operating systems that fit in your pocket... I don't fuckin' know, but it's well over $300 for sure.

Lets see... 250, 250, 300... 800.

Yet, you're getting all that, in one, tiny, sleek package, that has a GORGEOUS wide multi-touch sensitive screen, and has a 24 hour battery life, something FEW, laptops, cellphones, or mp3 players have.

You're just mad, that you can't have one yet. And I am too... Can't wait till I graduate. Gonna use some of that money to get the second generation iPhone.

it werent at&t exclusive *i hate at&t*

i couldnt get a free phone with verizon here in a month or so

it had better service plans... those service plans are shit and you know it

which is why its going to cost an extra 1.5 k a year to own an iphone instead of something cheaper
