but all the kids who play "hack" like to party all the time and most of them are really big stoner kids so i was wondering if footbag and partying go hand in hand or if its just something people do here

yes most of the time and no sometimes.

Usually hackers are mostly stoners/partiers though, thats why the sterotype is there.

i agree there is a stereotype but i disagree that most are stoners/partiers.

footbag and fun go hand in hand. different people have different ideas of fun. i hate how non-partying footbaggers get stereotyped with hacky sack hippies.

to be honest... it has more to do with the age group than anything else.

Sure, footbaggers are in general casual drug users and often liberal/pinko or whatever but so are most 16-24 year olds I think.

The footbag culture might steer that way a bit more than the general population because you have to be somewhat more free thinking and open.

thanks for the input guys. i really like what holly said because i dont party or anything but like the second i take out my footbag theres always someone asking me if i wanna go smoke weed or something

I rarely get stereotyped as a stoner when playing footbag and i think is because a) footbag is generally so much higher up in the skill level hierarchy that few draw comparisons between the stoner hacker and someone playing this sport and b) i look like a geek
