30. June 2007
Bea, Daryl and Max

Bea and I played in front of your house for an hour before Daryl joined the action. At first every trick and run took a lot of effort (I have to play more than once a week :() but later on I had some nice runs. One must have been around 30 contacts :D

Beatrice played really great yesterday, despite her knee pains. A couple of nice runs around 24 contacts long. One run was with only one guilt, not that she is pushing for guiltless, it just happened. Lot's of stepping and pixies and whirls. She even did a ducking clipper midrun, I think it was for the first time. With more trainig her game will go through the roof :)

Daryl also did some nice tricks but he will post for himself.

Maybe this post will motivate me to post about our session in more detail again...

Servus,

Also könnten dort so gut wie alle hin.

Yesterday. A usual Monday. After a weekend of lying in the sun, burning myself, reading good books and chilling with my flatmate playing music, I had to go back to work. Rainy Monday. All the day rain. And all the day in front of the chaotic computer C++ crap. No light. Coworkers with headphones won't talk, food is lousy and my mood goes down concurrent to the hour arrow of a clock. I feel like going home, pull the blanket over my head and wait until tomorrow, the weekend, next month. But then I thought, a, what the heck, let's try some shred for some minutes, maybe half an hour and go home.. So I went with my coworker Robin - without him maybe I'd given up on that day already...

And then, boom, everything changed in the gym. Mood up, feet down, bag in the air, kaboom, neat clipper catching today, Robin does 7 consecutive toe delays and more kicks than ever, Max is running in good shape, pushing basics and torquing around, me getting warm, happy, playing well shaped, 18 mirages, boom, double around the world, uuuuhyeah and then before I quit for that night, exhausted, happily: egg beater!! Wooooho. Footbag is the world. Now I'm infected once again. Have to play again this week. Mood up high. Fuck work, fuck weather, I didn't care. Great great great.

So let's play! :D

Yeah good post Tobi. Here's my quick and dirty write up for yesterdays session:
2. July 2007
Tobi, Robin and Max
My legs were really weak from all the weekend action, nevertheless it was good fun. I mostly did single tricks and some short runs. My highlight: Ducking Butterfly > Ducking Butterfly :D I hit that combo from both sides!

3. July 2007
Andi, Bea, Daryl and Max
Today I was very stressed from driving around (not really driving but waiting) in the mad rush-hour traffic. The employees of the German Railway are on a strike, so the traffic on the streets was even worse today. Anyway I managed to be in the Oly Bad only 45 minutes after Bea and Daryl started to play, thanks to a fierce ride on my bike. I was never slower than 28 km/h :)
The footbaging today was awesome! Everyone played good. I hope for Daryl to post all the details. I hit pdx torque for the first time today :D very unexpected... 3 or 4 good runs. One runs was a request run for Bea; she demanded a DATW midrun so I did Stepping ss Legover > DATW, then she wanted to see a Ducking Butterfly so I hit one 8) Besides that I did some nice combos.... something with pdx illusion to ? but I can't remember what. Something I can remember was Legbeater > Ducking Butterfly, not new but felt good. puhh that is all I can think of now.
:)

hey great!

I'm so eager to play with bea and daryl again soon!!

Damn, but I have to take things a bit slower: went to the doc today and for my sore knee it would be best not to play at all for some time. :(
well, a bit... slowly... without too crazy moves... should be fine. :)

sNale wrote:...I hope for Daryl to post all the details...
sigh

It was a good one for sure, mainly due to the constructive and cheerful vibe
throughout the whole sesh. I guess, feeling comfortable and staying positive,
even inthe face adversity and general footbag shortcomings is crucial for a
good session . Another thing is the relation between attention and objectivity;
if those are on, one can stay level headed and fair, even the personal performance isnt all christmassy .

My favorite part, all the nice runs aside, was helping ANDI to step up his game a bit .
Thanks to you Tom, who kindly pointed out the lack of teaching
our newbee  . He hit 11 legovers towards the end, a nice flip mirage
and seemed quite happy with that . How could i underestimate professional
newbie-care ? For all of you wondering, why there are so many good
polish shredders out, its because they had a handful of good guys teaching
many noobs a lot stuff in an efficient way !

In other news, i gotta say that i'm getting happier with footbag, everytime
i play . When i stick to sets, bops and ducking i can pump out 15 cons
without much hassle ; cooler runs with more downtime stuff average
around 10 . One run i hit both whirls, datw on one, dso on the other side,
plus dlo bsos . My best one started out with dim>blur>atom, followed by
13 + guiltless . Paradon and stepping feel kinda solid, although stepping
is still a bitch at times . I hit a lot of harder tricks with ease, the newer
combos like spin clip>blur or toeblur>ss butter>pdx mir>wonton leg
are finding their way into runs more and more .

Max, your paradox torque was soooo awesome, like a little Ansi would
have done it, and a big bunch of props for your pdx whirl form !!!

@ Toby : please get well quick to 1.) make the circle complete and 2.),
to put an end to a new kind of vornamen confusion
