I'm back from Góra. It was a great day :) We got there at about 10, after switching our way of transport from train to bus (even though we got tickets for the train to Góra, it turned out there was no connection there... dare I say it - ghost train? :) ). After picking up Jajo we went to the tennis courts and shredded away. The weather wasn't really great, it was mildly raining from time to time, but we played anyway (yes, we are that hardcore  ). The first session was okay, I remember hitting Flare > Plasma > Food to a short run and footing Fury > Plasma > Blurrage. Bujo was playing good as always, his brother was throwind down Double Downs all around the place and Jajo did tripless runs even though he had an 8 months break. There was also Delo, with his trusted Bubbabeater, so we had two circles going on. We played for about 3 hours and went to Bujo's place for dinner - it rocked :D Tomato soup and croquettes with meat for the second meal - sweet! After the dinner we watched some shred vids, including some pretty old Polish ones, and decided to start the second session. It began with some casual 4 Square, because our stomachs were full, but slowly we got warmed up (in the mild rain again) and started shredding. The second session was good too, we were recording most of it, so you'll probably see it on video as soon as I have time to edit it. Which I hope will be quick.

On the way back home I had an unpleasant situation. Basically, I left my backpack with my lavers in the train , and realized that only after I got home :? I'm still angry at myself, but I must have been really tired to miss the fact that I don't have it. After the first wave of resignation I decided to fight, and went back to the train station. After a couple of runs from different members of train staff, and getting the help of guys from SOK (the train station police) I managed to get my bag back. Phew! It would be a real distaster if I lost my shoes now. Thankfully I was lucky. And that's a lesson for the future - Szymon, always check your luggage you idiot! :)

Tommorow I'm going to finish painting the fence, edit the video and go to my friend's 18th birthday. It will be a good day as well :)

Yesterday I was in Strzelin with Wojtas, Rozo, Radek and Agata and we competed in the second Golf contest called Street Golf. As the name implies the holes were placed in various places in the city. The weather was really good, sometimes it felt a bit too hot though. It was 4th time I played Golf I think, but I enjoyed it a lot. I placed second in my group with a score of 76 kicks (so you can see how long the whole game took). After finishing the first 6 holes and announcing the winners we had a small break and visited Gosia's house (thanks for the juice, I needed that  ). Then we packed ourselves into cars and drove to Biały Kościół, which is a small city near Strzelin. There's a nice lake there, where we set up a grill and started chilling. Unfortunately it started raining :? But it didn't stop us, and we still planned to start the Golf finals as soon as it would clear up. But then we heard a loud tapping above our heads - hail :( The weather continued to get worse and worse, but three hardcore shredders - Rozo, Radek and Bobek decided to shred anyway. This hardcore hail session was recorded by me, and hopefully it will see the light of day soon. Despite the conditions some good combos were hit :D

The storm got really bad, and the wind was throwing the rain at us even though we were under a roof, so we decided it was time to go. Tomek run through the rain to park the car near us and we frantically leaped to get into it  The drive to Strzelin was fun too, as the roads were flooded and each time a bigger car was passing us it splashed gallons of water onto our windshield :D After arriving in Strzelin we entered the train station and started shredding, it was a good session despite the tiredness. I remember a run with Drifter > Pdx Drifter (rpt) and both Blurry Drifters and hitting Barfly > Scorpion's Tail BSOS too. I got pretty close to Infinity PS Rev-up, I'd like to land this because it feels just plain cool with the fast dexes :D

Thanks for the post Kiper, it looks like your faith was not in vain :) As today I've hit... Infinity PS Rev-up! I sent PMs to Jorden and Ianek asking if they have hit it before (I hope not :P ). I've also landed Whirling ss DLO, but I think I may have hit it earlier. It was a good session, Agata was learning lots of stuff, ATWs both directions on both sides, clippers and Mirage practice. Hania was also playing, and I haven't seen her for a long time, so it was nice to shred with her :) She hit some Atom Smashers and Legbeaters and did good runs, so it looks like she's in good form.

Ok, I'll try to make a video with this trick. I had an opportunity to do it yesterday during a session with Rożo, but I couldn't land it this time. It was a casual shred, but I've hit two new tricks, which are Far Rev Swirl (not symple) and flip Ripstein. Today we did a small workshop for kids from primary school. Each one of them got their own bag, so hopefully we'll get at least two new Vasek's  The children had a lot of fun, and we killed our throats trying to communicate with them :D

And I've just bought my ticket for Euros! Vienna we're coming! :D

We did a demo for a small festival run by Kosik today. We got there early, helped carry and set up tables and benches, then waited, played some frisbee, waited some more, had a shred session, waited again and finally did our demo. It wasn't the greatest demo I did :) The stage was slippery and there was almost nobody watching. But we shredded a bit and went off.

BUT during the session I've hit some new stuff, some of it I've wanted to land for a long time:

Tapping Drifter BSOS
Muted Whirling ss Mirage > Tripwalk (rpt)
Rev-up > Paradon (rpt)
Barfly Swirl

I schooled my Ducking tricks as well, and had a good run with some Ducking toe moves. Barrages got some attention as well. Hania was shredding with us, and she schooled her Steppings, so I did the same.

By the way, yesterday Gosia and Wiktor from Warsaw visited us, and we had a sweet session in the town center with Piechu, Hania and Budzik as well. I had our club camcorded with me, so a video should be up soon. There's a crazy Doubles combo in there :D

I can't wait for this video, Ners. I heared Piechu is playing really good right now. And also that Hania is back to the game and plays Guiltless.

Props on Rev-up > Paradon drill. Sounds sweet!

Two days ago I went to play some basketball with my friends. At first there was three of us, so we played two vs. one to 20 points. In all three configurations the two player team won, but when I was alone I scored 17 points, so that was a highlight :) Later, we split up - me and my friend Szabel went to eat something and got the idea to make some music. We ended up in his house and created a funny blues. It was late already, so we had to be quiet, that's why the song has a chilly feeling  You can hear it on Szabel's page (http://szabel.dmusic.com), it's called Cotton Worker :)

Today we had a session at Worcella gym. Olaf, Agata and Artur arrived to shred it up. I was feeling tired, so I mostly worked on new single tricks. It turned out to be a fun thing to do. Here's the new stuff:

Toe Symp Rev Whirling Rake BS
Gyro Rev Whirl > Twirl BS
Rev Whirling Swirl BS
Rev Swirling Blender BS

I also tried Rev Whirling Set (Shattering? Scattering?) and had a few good attempts. It looks possible. I'm aiming at Rev Whirling Whirl :D Tommorow we're going to have another session in South Park at 6 pm. I want to try Symp. Rev Swirling Blender!

Good session today! Even though I didn't manage to hit Symp. Rev Swirling Blender. Highlights:

flip PS Eggbeater
Muted Stepping ss Grifter
Blur > Tapping Whirl (rpt)
Flail > ss Flail (rpt)
flip Furious Drifter

I worked my flip Stepping set some, and to my joy it started working well. I had a nice Stepping shuffle run > Blubberman. Other then that I schooled Rev Whirling set, but couldn't hit anything out of it - maybe next time :) Hania was playing with us and she was doing well, she worked on Swirls (she has strong Rev Swirls, but the regular ones need practice) and did some solid runs with both Pixie sets. Agata is schooling the basics, I hope she won't get discouraged, and survive this sucky phase of freestyle progress. Olaf was throwing down as usual, he was close to repeating Ripwarrior > Spikehammer > Alpine Legbeater! Sweet stuff.

New tricks from today:

Delusion BS
flip Torquescrew

The session was pretty long, at first we shredded, then played some 4 Square, then had a schooling circle and in the end me and Olaf worked some Doubles. Doubles were fun, we learned some new stuff I've seen from Wiktor and Gosia :D On Monday Norek comes to Wrocław so we should have some epic sessions haha. Tommorow we're going to change the date of our departure to Vienna so that we can be in the same bus as our friends from Strzelin. I hope we won't have to pay for the change. I was thinking about going to a swimming pool tommorow, but it looks like the weather isn't going to be so good.

I'm stoked for Euros :D

I forgot to write that I got a sweet bag from Hania - thanks a lot! But now I can post a pic:

Tommorow Kuba Grabarczyk is coming to Wrocław, so we should have a session. Then Norek and Jajo arrive, I'm really looking forward to shredding with them! We've set up a webpage of our club, so that we can arrange shred sessions and coordinate stuff. I think it's working well! If you want to see it go to www.footbag.com.pl/wrc :)

A lot of thing happened since I wrote here for the last time. First of all, Norek arrived on Sunday and we had a couple good sessions, including a massive one on Monday, when there were about 11 people! Jajo from Leszno and Kuba Grabarczyk from Nowe Miasto visited us, so we could spend some time in footbag vibe. A short video from that day is "Intercity" and can be found here:
http://www.footbag.org/gallery/show/11719
and here:
http://pl.youtube.com/watch?v=LMPmodaysg0

On Monday the weather got bad, so we could no longer shred outside. Me and Norek decided to hit Morskie Oko gym, and shred it up there. Even though nobody else made it, we had a good session with some new tricks and combos. We had our club camera with us, so some new footage was obtained and after an evening of fast editing, the second video was created. It's called "Poranny shred" which means morning shred, and if you want to see it, go to:
http://www.footbag.org/gallery/show/11721

But that's not all :) Today we had two sessions which were devoted to creating another video, this time focused on single tricks. I won't spoil anything, so just click the link below and see our big ones!

When I read about a session on our website today I was sceptical at first. The weather was not what I would concider suitable for shredding, and an hour before it's supposed start it began to rain. I called Rożo, but he's a tough player and convinced me to arrive at South Park anyway. His arguments were not very solid, but in the end he was the one who was right as rain stopped pouring down from the sky. So we started shredding. In the beginning we did a run through the list of basics (which is known by heart by pretty much every Wrocław shredder) and after finishing it we formed a circle. I didn't hit anything new, but had a few ok runs composed of ducking and spinning tricks.

Then I decided to teach Agata something new, because she seemed to get a bit bored by schooling the same basics over and over. It looks like she had a good day, because during that session she managed to land Legover, Butterfly and Osis all BS for the first time :) She even agreed to do 100 attempts at had toss > ss Mirage - if she continues like that I forsee a great future for her :D

In the end of the session we tried some silly tricks and me and Olaf practiced Doubles. In conclusion, good session - it would be good if we could play at Morskie Oko and do some tournament training tommorow.

Some stuff about my life: I've passed all my final exams! My results were as following - Polish 88%, English 95%, History 60% and Knowledge of Society 67%. I also scored 100% on both spoken exams, but they are not really so important (not needed to get to university). I'm very happy with the scores, because it will most probably be enough to get to the list of accepted Law students on Wrocław's University :) I feel like I've taken a big step forward in my life. And right now I'm fully enjoying the longest holidays I've ever had. That means I have a lot of free time, but there's so much to do that I', not really having a lot of rest haha :) I'm still doing the house painting, but unfortunately work got a bit slowed down, due to me not putting enough time into it.

I have a new dog! Well, actually it's not technically mine, since my aunt bought it for my grandparents. But since my grandparents live in the second section of my house, and my aunt lives in a house next to mine (with the backyards connected) the dog is a property of the whole family :) The outcome is that I can play with him, but don't have to walk him out - score!

Image

Today I went to Nysa to do a demo with Damian Budzik. He contacted some friends of his and they took us there in their car, so the trip was pretty comfortable. The demo itself went well, we had three entries, did some shred, doubles and crowd pleasing :) In the end we made a small contest and four kids won footbags, maybe at least one of them will start practicing, who knows.

In the evening I went to see my friend Szabel performing with his band in one of the clubs in the city center. Quite a big audience gathered, and the concert went very good. I knew pretty much all the songs, so I enjoyed listening to them live even more :) It was also good to meet up with the rest of my friends I haven't seen for some time and see what's up in their lives :) After the concert finished, and the band did the encore we congratulated Szabel and left the club soon afterwards. Me, Bartosz and Ola decided that it was to early to go home, so we went near Hala Ludowa (a big hall for big events :) ) to toss frisbee. To our surprise, even though it was pretty late, we found some older guys doing the same thing :) Soon we joined them - they had a different disc, a bit more heavy and with smaller rim. We played for about twenty minutes and then decided it was time to go. But before leaving I asked those guys if they were practicing freestyle or ultimate. A conversation started, eventually leading to me telling them about footbag, and it's connections with with flying disc in early days. They were really interested and I ended up doing a small demo in my running shoes and longs pants. I couldn't really shred, but did some short tiltless runs ended with two shuffle contacts > Eggbeater, which impressed them :) My friends kept pushing me to try some hard single tricks, so I did PS Whirl, Scorpion's Tail, Phoenix and finished with PS Eggbeater :)

On Saturday I'm leaving to Berlin. It will be cool to see those guys again!
