You're so gung-ho, Matt.
I also wish that I could experience what it would be like to be you for a day. Your posts on this page are so long, and it intimidated me at first, but once I got to reading I just sat here, put my legs up and smiled the whole way through.

You're so lucky, and such a great person. Oh, and I don't really mean lucky, but it seemed right to write. You're very, very talented, and awesome. And gung-ho.

wow, 3 posts!! I started to reply this morning, but had to catch my flight...

I'm back in dtroyt, in the same cafe I posted from last time, drinking the same beer. what a week. I'm fuckin tired. I can't wait to get back and collect bill from my friends and pass out. one more short flight to go. it leaves in 2 hours.

Waylon, feeding my muse is right! so much good experiences there, and many good ideas... finished up a song, or at least got a good bit done, and wrote some more for the next one. Worlds is going to be the shit. you know you're welcome to hang at our place. Is your situation figured out yet?

Erik, you're the man. thanks for posting, so good to hear from you again. Lucky is accurate. I'm not so sure about gung-ho or talented... just lucky, and I've got a big mouth. Can't wait to hang with you at worlds, chan man. I'm glad you read through those long posts. I had a lot to say in my caffeine buzz.

Today has been all flying. Woke up with just enough time to check my email and drink a little coffee. The flight over wasn't too bad. 8 hours of movies and alcohol, and quite good airplane food. I hope I didn't leave my chinese toothbrush in london. it came from a girl that I love, and I'd hate to lose it. just had some sushi a little bit ago, and now more beer. I'm hoping david will allow me to put this all on my expense account. he doesn't have a signed release for my image yet, so it shouldn't be too difficult to add $50 more on to my check ;) i'm such a jerk.

back to the grind tomorrow morning. can't wait to be back. Thanks for all the posts and love and support. I <3 footbag. I am VERY sad I missed ECFC, and I hope there's lots of video about it and good posts. makes me treasure my past east coast champs experiences even more. hopefully, next year...

I JUST got my air miles confirmation this morning when I checked my e-mail! I'm stoked! I'm going to buy my tickets tonight since I had to buy some essentials for the family, and my computer tends to lag a lot during the day. Just posting in your blog will take awhile... :P

I'm on the same boat concerning ECFC. I missed it as well. I heard there was a great turn out this year, so I'm feeling pretty bummed that I didn't go due to budget concerns. Still, I feel the videos for this event are going to be NICE.

edit: United sucks. My air miles will be moot for my Worlds trip. :( Still, I have a back-up plan, so I'm staying optomistic!

I watched the video not realizing it was on repeat and was starting to think the commercial was a bit redundant. I think I watched it 5+ times before I realized it was on repeat.

Did I see the tail end of that ps whirl you were talking about in that video?

Super props on the PS Whirl in the end! :P That bag must have been pretty hard to use, but something seems different. Was it smaller than the one I saw when you visited NYC sometime around February?

Even if it doesn't promote footbag, it's still great to see a footbagger in a commercial shredding it up (especially if it's Matt Cross)!

so, let's see... had a session about a week ago, and felt some tightness in my shoulder while I was playing. by that evening, I was in a lot of pain, and stayed in pain for the next few days. It's still tight and sore. But by thursday, I was feeling all right enough to play, and I went to buffalo with Jack to play with Pat, Doug, and Chris.

Vince was there, and he bought footbag #84. He was happy with it. I told him I'd replace it for him if one of the stitches popped, but not if it got holes. I also told him about how it's bad if you pick it up with your feet. Every time I looked over at it for the rest of the night, some hacky slacker was smashing it up on his foot with his other foot, and I had to take Vince aside and tell him that his warranty is now void. He said he didn't care, and that he'd just buy another bag if that one broke. Looks like he's going to have to learn this one the hard way.

Anyway, I played okay, Chris played REALLY okay, and doug and pat played okay too. doug's toe shuffle is starting to come along. I saw him hit [smudge > plo] > rpt > [smear > plo] > rpt. that was very cool. It's great that those guys are coming out for weekly sessions. I love it. Can't wait to get back to buffalo on thursday. I might also go out to erie tomorrow for their weekly thing.

Last night, I was talking to tom and saying how we're only 2.5 hours apart or so right now, and that I was thinking of coming up to visit, and he said he's dropping his parents off in buffalo today, so he's going to drive to Fredonia to shred today and party tonight!! what a surprise! I can't wait to bust tricks. I hope I can find my friend alicia so I can show tom what a new MC bag looks like, because she's the only person in town who has one. I either keep giving mine away, or someone has to buy one. and I have zero MC bags.

Anyway, I can't wait! I haven't seen mosh in a while now. What luck!

I hope everyone will check out my Music Videos thread in Arts and Leisure and post comments.

tom had to cancel because of matters beyond his control and now I'm so sad I think I might DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :( :( :(

;) just kidding. he's coming in a few weeks. oh well. I'll have to skool today without him. I had some special K for breakfast, and a whole sub for lunch which I hope will leave my body before session time so I don't have it bouncing around inside me while I play. I'm going to try and break my tiltless record, which I believe is 62 (lame). I can beat that, no problem. I was looking forward to having a few rounds of tiltless rippin run with tom, I guess we can do that when he visits.

yeah, no shit, 262 would definitely be way more appropriate, but that attempt is from the last few weeks or so :/

in actuality, my tiltless record is 405, but every single move was infinity.
