Awesome dude, I was gettin worried itd be jsut me and Pete and hed be all, blazing whirl>pdx blender>gauntlet and then pass to me whos like, atw>mirage>legover>drop... But yea, thats awesome u'll be around NU one way or another.

Just had a lil session down by the canal. I really didnt plan on playing today cuz I figured Id be way too tired from last night, but when i was jsut sittin around doing nothing at like 3 I realized I had to do something. I figured I could either run 6 miles to/from the canal or play footbag in my basement... o snap! footbag at the canal! Haha, i really need those ppl at home depot to get back to me, I tihnk im gonna call them again tomorow.

Anywho, awesome session by the canal. Lots of ppl walkin by noticing, and not really saying anything, BUT at one point the fairy looked like it was gonna pass by so I decided to do a lil tiltless mixed w/ guiltless shred. I guess every1 was lookin the other way cuz the fairy stopped right in fornt of me and pulled a 180 in the narrow erie canal (props to the captain) and then as soon as I hit torque I hear "WOOOAHHHOOOOHHAHAHA!" and just a bunch of applaud. I catch the bag, look up as if theyre applauding something else and then notice everyone on the boat looking at me. :D I jstu gave that awkward "oh, you saw that? ha, yea..." Then I hit a few more runs for them w/ some ducking, spinning, and osis. I got a great repsonse fomr osis.

So yea, that was that, it made me feel really good about my game cuz i was able to hit some pretty long runs w/ some decent stuff. Then soon after I heard "you suck!" and I look around and see two of my friends on their bikes at the top of the stairs that elad down to the shady canal area. I ended up talkin w/ them for about 45 minutes and then after they left I only played for about 30 more mintues cuz my legs was freakin dead. Anywho main highlights:

-terrage b2b again
-drifter bsos
-ducking butterfly bsos (both midrun, outta nowhere, I never do these, I guess I was jstu inspired by Ben Rea  )
-whiril>infinity 12 contacts 8) (I intended to do this w/ one rpt but just kept going)
-assasin after like 5 or 6 tries, meh
-near dlo>dimwalk bs (thanx Pat)
-ripwalk b2b
-barrage bsos
-tripwalk bs

I really wanna work quantum next session, when I was playing w/ Pat last night he made me realize that Im not horribly terrible at these so now I really wanna hit toe blur bs>bsos>b2b. Also, merlin, freaking Cod and his merlin x4, INSANE! That about wraps up my day so far.

Peace

edit: Matt Cross just posted in my blog right before I posted this. My day just keeps getting better!

Hola.

So pretty sweet session w/ Chris, Pat, and Jeff. I brought some music for once but the stereo i was using was soooo raspy and junky sounding. meh. I hate providing music, like I dont mind bringing speakers or some sorta sound output, but I never think ppl are satisfied w/ my music selection. Whatever, I just put on some nofx, rancid, msi, and ratm so hoepfully every1 was cool w/ that.

Anywho, this is footbag, not music. So yea, every1 was playing pretty well today. Jeff gets better every time I paly w/ him. His legovers are a lot more consistent, and he had a string w/ like, legover and butterfly bsos and a mirage and pickup in there, or something along those lines, either way, it was cool.

Pat was hitting some really awesome stuff too. He had like smear>dimwalk bsos and a ton of ducking and spinning stuff. He also hit barlfy again which was mad sweet. It seems like evrytime I play w/ him he hits some sorta new compnent really consistently. First it was stepping, then whirl stuff, and today spinning/ducking. Props for that.

Then of course Chris hit some HUGE combos... Ugh, I cna never remeber what he hit, its always outta my element.... Hmm, there was pdx whirl>pdx drifter (rpt), 69, I tihnk I saw smoke bsos, TONS of pdx torques b2b...spinning ducking stuff. Yeah, hes good.

Today really wasnt my day. My legs were really tired from Thursdays session which is wierd cuz I played really well Friday and took yesterday off. :? Aw well. After Chris and Jeff left me and Pat were jsut kinda messin around and I tried pdx whirl, and I footed it... I tihnk both sides? idk, I footed it at least one side, so that was cool. Also, symp mirage>toe drifter. I didnt hit it but i came close and toe drifter felt a lot easier after symp mirage, so thanx to Pat for that one. Word, well Im off to t.g.i.f.s

Peace

yeah footed pdx whirl. .. like 8 times. Great stuff, though you may have been a bit worn from Thursday. I had a lot of fun today. Glad I could make it out. Next time we shred I want to see you hitting tripwalk midstring. And um. Pdx whirls. And. Montage. and Montage rake.

Another solo session by the canal again.... a kid fell in... then another kid fell in... it was kinda funny. I mean that water is N-A-S-T-Y. Anywho, played alright. My string length is pretty lousy, and Im not very diverse. Aw well. Main highlights were:

-ducking mirage and ducking clipper both bsos same string (but lots of toe stalls so not much of a legit string)
-whirl x7 strong, x3 flip
-spinning clipper was pretty solid today, flip needs work

...OH actually there was one HUGE highlight but Im prolly gonna keep it secret and try to bust it out next time I play w/ Matt or Chris or Pat or someone. They prolly wont think much of it, but its MASSIVE to me.... haha, I already know whats gonna happen next time i try to hit it in fornt of some1 tho. Attempt>miss>attempt>foot>atempt>blah! Itd be sweet if I could nail it first try tho. Anywho enuff of this, mad tired.

oh wait, before I forget, this girl walked by and shes like "what are you doing?" and im like "footbag" And she goes, "Oh, do you go to any tournaments?" and im thinkin "what? you dont wanna know if i play soccer? you dont wanna correct me and call it 'hacky sack?' you just have an immediate respect for it as a sport and ask about tournaments???!?!8O " So I tell her, "yea, at RIT recently there was a tournament." And shes just like "Cool, do you know a guy named Paul Agostinelli?" Then it all comes together. "Yea i do!" Then we just talked a lil and she left with her friends. Haha, I just thought it was cool. :)

dude when you say the canal do you mean by the bridge off State Street kinda where the ice cream shop is and those gazeebo things are where people can sit around? Because um. I played there once a loooong time ago. A few friends and I went there to get ice cream and I broke out a bag and started to play and they got me on their camera phones. We should go there instead of RIT one day. They have some nice spots there.

Word,

So yea, been playin a lot of kickysack lately. Rochester, Buffalo, Syracuse, and I think Buffalo is prolly still my favorite place to play right now. Theres always so much wierd stuff happening there and so many funny drunkards and whatnot. :P

Pat-Yes that is the same spot, and yes we should play there some time, its a really nice area w/ lots of ppl that walk by.

Matt-she was mad short, like maybe 5 ft? long blonde hair, Idk, I dont remember any really striking features.

Fran-Meh.

Yeah, so the only real highlight that i can remmeber from the past couple sessions is... ba bada bum! Atomic set! Haha, yea, I'm mad stoked about it... thats right... im stoked.... dont judge me. So thus far Ive managed legbeater and atomsmasher :D :D . Only one side right now but I plan on workin the flip and eventually addin tapdown to the mix just so i got all those basic atomic moves in my repertoire.

Hmm, theres prolly a lot of other stuff.... assassin midstring.... blah blah blah.

I love when your playin midstring and just hear "whats that guy doin? Yo man, check out this kid!" Like even when its not me playing. We heard that so much last night in Buffalo. Almost every run that Chris Dean took, "Duuuuude, check this guy out!" Haha, Chris shredded so hard that he actually made it rain at one point. 8O

Cross was playing pretty well too, it looked like he was a little off but thats prolly due to just getting back form London, which he said went well and everyone should check out the commercial he was in in his blog. He even got a little posse midway thru the evening who were just enthrolled by his game and him in general. It was pretty funny.

Yeah we played in the rain for about 15 or 20 minutes before we left. Near the end it was jstu Pat and me and Pat goes "Hmmm, you know this rain is the perfect atmosphere for a BATTLE! I challange you to a footbag BATTLE!" So im just like, "Okay." So we did this thing where one person does a move and then the other mimics it or does something better. It was mad fun but neither of us could do much since the bag was wet and played like a rock. Right before we left Chris walks up in pants and totally owns me and Pat in footbag battle by doing like, matador or something to that effect.... jerk. :P

Then we went home.... I didnt drive in the wrong direction for over half an hour.... and Chris most definitly never asked "Why are the exits going up?" or "Why are we travelling west?"... Nope, that most certainly did not occur....However Pat and I did have one more quick battle at a gas station on the way home, and Im counting it as a win for me with the eggbeater.

Yeah, so footbag is fun and now I must.... aw man, I jsut cracked my neck on both sides and it felt reeeeealllllly good.... sry bout that. ha, yea so Im out.

Peace

Pff. Chris definitely didn't OWN us. I think he TRIED to hit phoenix (which would've sucked for me since I haven't dialed it yet) but didn't and then hit a weaving butterfly, passed it to me, and I hit that thang like no other. And then we just kind of left.

. . . and yeah. The epic battle at the gas station definitely goes to you. I shall have my revenge. I just need FLAMING TARD to shut your eggbeaters down. But that's a pokemon which eludes me right now. Like mew. Fucking psychic pokemon and three-dex tricks.

Props again on the atomic stuff. Work the flip or else Ben will get an edge on you with that one. And um. Don't crack your neck. You'll stiffen up your neck joints (?) over time and ducking and diving will be problematic. So sayeth me.

Wow, that was extremely convenient, I justr logged onto modified to write something in my blog and voila! my blog is at the top, and rightfully so... yea, thats right, i said it.... alright fine its not even good enuff for page 2

Anywho, now that thats all settled with, as of today I have played in a circle with THE *epic music* Jon Schneider! :D Man, it was awesome, he's such a cool, laid back guy. He's not caught up in all the technical add junk either, hes all about aesthetics, and it shows. His style is so smooth, it was really just... relaxing to watch him play, haha. He had a run with infinity swirl, torque bs and a bunch of dragon swirling dragons and stuff and when he finished I was like "nice run!" and he was just like, "Meh." He said that after playing for so long that that stuff is just so natural, and I sorta understood what he meant, but damn does it look cool!

There were a couple of other guys there too, most of them looked like they were still learning the basics but two of them had some stuff down pretty well. This one kid Liam was hitting legover, mirage, atw (both directions), and clipper both sides, so that was cool to see. Then another kid, Jorden was a litle more advanced. He had the basics down pretty well and was linking stuff together pretty well too. He was hitting illusions, mirages, legovers, and butterfly all bs and most of it bsos which was really cool to see. If both these guys stay with it the Jersey scene may very well start to explode in a few years cuz they had a bunch of other guys that seemed to be following in their footsteps, so props to Jersey.

Haha, it was so cool to see other guys who had passed the level of a hackysacker but were a little below my level. I dont mean to brag or anything but it just felt really good to see that all my practicing and everything is actually paying off, like its just cool to see that I'm actually better than someone. Haha, I bet in a year they'll all have surpassed me  :P. Unfortantly I did something to my right leg at the part where it connects to the pelvis or whatever. Idk anatomy, but either way I'm assuming its from my pixie which really sux cuz thats my strong point and it just wasnt really up to par today. Aw well, it was still amazing to meet and play with Jon Schneider. :D

Anywho I was able to bust legbeater, atomsmasher, assassin (midstring) and some lousy ripwalks today so all in all it was a good session.

Btw Pat, good call, I forgot it was only weaving butterfly after some initial pixie ducking attempt, and that sux that you matched it cuz that means we're tied... and that cant be....thus i pronounceth...yeah.

Peace

Haha, yea he is.

So I tried to play today... the high was 96.... i played a whopping 30 minutes. Haha, yea it was horrible, my leg was hurting, i was sweating within 5 minutes, and my legs were just dead tired and idk why, guess it was just from lounging around all day previous to shredding. :? Aw well, still did what i could and after "warming up" (my warm-up was basically all of todays shred, minus a couple things) I managed to hit the osis>far osis (rpt) drill again and i upped my ducking clipper record from 2 to 6 :) . So at least some good came outta todays shred. I was really happy with those ducking clippers cuz today it felt like I was actually ducking, whereas before I was just kinda throwing the bag over my head... if that makes sense.

Haha, I really shouldnt have played but it was just too brutal having nothing to do and surfing modified all day to not go out and try to play. Im always thinking of so many new links that I wanna someday hit like...smog>pixie ss dlo (rpt) and in order to do that I'll drill mirage>ss mirage (rpt) then smear>pixie ss mirage (rpt) then dlo>ss dlo (rpt) then after i can hit all 3 links with confidence I can go for smog>pixie dlo (rpt). Haha, yea thats pretty much been my whole day, just thinking of ridiculous links to rpt and then what kind of drills I need to do to be able to hit them. Maybe if i get bored enuff tommorow I'll write some of them down so I can remember to drill them.

So...i had my first solo session today since.... well i dont remember. Anywho, even though its more fun to play with some1 else, I definitly always have more success when I play solo. Right before I started today I realized, "huh, my games kinda boring cuz i really only have one set" which is of course, pixie. Now beofre today I was able to do ripwalk okay on my strong and pretty crappy on my flip, so i decided id practice stepping ss/op clippers. After a good half hr of that i got a.d.d. and thought "huh, Im gonna work atomic" cuz, ya know, i can only hit atomsmahser and legbteaer one side. Then I realized "wait a second, this is why I progress kinda slowly... I can never devote an entire session to only one component!"

Ok, now that I have that outta the way, todays session gave me:

-diving clipper>ducking clipper (rpt) starting bs
-ducking clipper>ss butter (rpt) starting bs
-dukcing clipper x5
-infinity x22  (record was 20)
-stepping ss clipper bs (x2 strong)
-stepping op clipper (rpt) starting bs
-stepping ss mirage bs
-blur bs
-ducking clipper>drifter bs
-flip atomsmasher :)
-flip legbeater :)

Im satisfied w/ todays session, hopefully I can pull some of it off in Buffalo tommorow. Now, off to buy tickets for harry potter later tonight.

Peace

<clears> excuse me, sir. But you have more than just pixie set well under control. Might I remind you of your quantum technology? And as you now realize. . stepping is also a factor.

Huge props for doing some of those drills (esp. the ducking clipper > ss butterfly rpt. drill) AND flip atomsmasher and legbeater so soon is a major accomplishment. And if you never hit blur before then hitting it both sides in one day is "stellar".

If Ben and I were to ask you and Ian or someone to come to Syracuse again, like say, this weekend. . . would you?

Hey thanks Danny, that means a lot coming from you, I was really impressed by your game at grass, you must be insane by now.

Pat, pffft, syracuse this weekend? with you and your "electricity"? whatever...

yea, i'll be there.

Oh btw, I forgot to add in my post before that I also hit what was prolly a thin blizzard on bs, and sorta my 2nd 5 add, backside blur... idk how clean it was seeing as how my stepping's still pretty meh, I'll have to do it in front of some1 and see what they think.
