Mini Me and I. Richie Abshire made these for my Daughter. I hope she loves the sport as much as I do.

As for now, she is 3 years 7 months old, and holds a yellow belt in Tang Soo Do, and will be testing for Orange next month. Boy how time flies. I hope you enjoy the pics.

Get your Necklace bags while you can...$30 is the price, and well worth it IMHO, for it is hard to stitch something so small and have it come out looking like this... Ciao, Michael

Damn, that is the cutest kid I've ever seen. She's so much cuter than my niece.

edit: If you want my blunt and honest opinion, bags as small as a dime (if not smaller) ARE NOT worth $30. As much as I respect the man that is Richard Abshire, you can pay close to $30 or more for a well playable bag than one that is meant for aesthetic purposes only. At most, $10.

It's rad. I personally have the same opinion that I wouldn't spend that money...but that's also because I'm not big on just collecting bags without playing with them, and plus I don't have the money to throw around.

As for paying $30 for a small necklace bag...well does anyone else make them, and if so, do they look this good? If so, I would like their names, so I can order one for $10 also, but I don't think that it gonna happen. Yes, I don't care much about spending $30 on a bag, but Richie is my buddy, and I appreciate his time and the effort he spends on the bags I order from him. I personally don't think $30 is too much, for IMHO it is harder to stitch something so small and have it come out looking perfect, but we all have our priorities, and to each their own. BTW, the smile and the expression she made when I told her that Richie made this neckless bag for her was priceless...

The larger of the two Pink bags has been played with by our Daughter and by me as well. We throw it around, and kick it from time to time.

The necklace bag will be mounted in the near future and my Daughter will be albe to wear it when she is a little older if she likes. I have a clay necklace bag that I believe Carol made, and a red/blue necklace bag that Richie made for me as too.

Footbags are not a necessity in life by any means, well for most that is but not all, and I do like them, and I do collect them. $30 to me is a lot of money is some ways, and in others it is not. Either way you look at it, it is your money, or my money, or someone elses money, and I think that if you or I or anyone else wants to spend hard earned $$$ on anything, that it is ok. $30 on a necklace bag is much better than the alternative vices IMHO, but to each their own. Of course it's worth $30, it would be harder to make than a normal 32p so by all rights it should cost more. As you said, it's not for playing anyway, it's footbag art, it's ornamentation, judging it by playability makes no sense.

edit: The first 32p I made turned out slightly larger than that one cause I f*cked up the dimensions, but it was small enough that I used it as a keyring for a while. Might use it again actually. It looked really nice, surprisingly. There's a pic somewhere in the bag I've made thread but damned if I can be arsed finding them hehehe.

I've made really small 32s before. If given the proper dimensions, I can stitch a bag the size that Richie stitched. I think the one that I've stitched was just a half size larger than his, and that was in my newbie days as a stitcher. I still have it. The second chance that I took in making a small 32 was to make it playable, at 40-something grams of lead shot, and I gave that bag to Carrie LaGreca (and she then gave it to Tom Stepek). It's just the monetary value that I don't value as much for the time it takes. Footbag art is totally rad, though, and I applaud Richard for stitching a bag that small. Really cool imo.

Brian Dennis has been stitching a lot of really small bags lately (both 4s and 32s), especially as a counterweight for some of his freestyling Yo-yos. I doubt he has considered a price for them, but I bet he enjoys stitching them very much.

Seriously... she. is. ADORABLE. Especially the one with the Santa cap.

lol brian has been selling those things to yoyoers and footbaggers. he charges just as much as richie... and as much as i say "id never pay that much for something i wont use," there are A LOT of people buying them. i guess i would buy one someday if i couldnt make one.
