ha, that was great.

a few comments:

I was very surprised at the amount of THE double dexes and i think that should be taken into account. but some were deffinatley executed very well.

i totally got owned majorly in open sick one  thats just embarrassing. i wish i had waited longer to submit my entry...oh well. theres always next time.

brian was your illusioning dex 'the' on your pogo blizzard?

anywho. goodjob everyone, can't wait for the results!

Open Sick 1 Results - From a judge :P

1. Jorden Moir - Stepping ducking butterfly swivel
I don't really think the last dex is there at all, but the bag's obscured, so I gave you the benefit of the doubt.

2. Lee Vansickle - Leviathan
Really hard move to hit cleanly, and you managed it. The duck was perfect. The stall at the end is a little flat (as in not much cushion), and the dexes are thin, but it's still clean. Well executed.

3. Peter Bowler - Blazing Blender
Hard move, but the blender at the end is definitely dragged around a little - definitely looks like two actions, and it should be one.

4. Alan Underhill - Atomic Dyno
Really well hit. Probably the best executed trick in the competition. Finished higher than a number of tricks that are harder, but not really comparable to the moves above.

5. Jason Crook - Supernova
Hard move to hit well, and I think you twisted towards the bag too much. Looks much better if you can hit it without changing which direction you're facing.

6. Brian Dennis - E-Walk
The pixie set is really really thin, and because your windows are too big, the butterfly at the end looks rushed (takes you too long to get into position).

7. Cody Carter - Alpine Tapdown
Are you using a Lotus bag? It sure looks like it! Well hit move. The set looks a little bit more in front of you than I would prefer, but still good execution.

8. Richard Abshrie - Pixie Torquescrew
Finished a little lower than the difficulty of the trick because I'm unconvinced of the "dyno" dex and because you drag the osis too much.

9. Jeremy Massells - Pixie Paradon Swirl
Very hard trick, very poor execution.

10 Aaron Orton - Surging Blender
Bag is released from your foot after the spin. I judge surging how it's traditionally defined; as gyro stepping. Big deal, wanna fight about it?

11. Gray Chadwick - Bubba Symp Eggbeater
Second dex is the.

12. Damon Matthews - Blurrier Rake
So stoked to see you still playing. Awesome. You're looking in good shape too. Unfortunately I couldn't rate you higher because the third dex is the.

13. Ben Rea - Stepping Symp Reverse Whirl
Surprised this is in open. Ok execution, but way too easy.

14. Max Boucoiran - Heel Atw Heel
Given that this is a video competition, I think this move is far too easy. I bet 90% of people on this forum could hit this move within 20 minutes of filming. Maybe you hit it first attempt, but I can't really judge that. Also the set out isn't very good.

Will judge the other events later :P

Open sick 3

1 Jorden Moir - Torch-R-Rack>superduperfly>motion sickness

Pdx free beast! Very one sided combo, and none of the sets are very good, but props anyway!

2. Gray Chadwick - Janiwalker>ps eggbeater>dolomite

Good variety of components. I don't like the form of your legover foot for the eggbeater and the set out is too high.

3. Jeremy Massells - pdx eggbeater>double atw inside>ducking symp whirl
Definitely the coolest combo in the competition. Very unique components too. Didn't like the way you fell away from the bag at the end.

4. Lee Vansickle - pixie ducking osis>spinning ducking osis>mullet
Dude, have you seen what somebody did to your hair? The first link isn't very good, I think a clean spin out of an osis, you have to actually look at the footbag in the crossbody position.

5. Peter Bowler - Legbreaker>fog>pixie ss blender
Did you actually hit this with a footbag? I hate basing a judgement on the quality of the camera, but it's just too hard to see the bag. Very cool combo though.

6. Zac Miley - Tripwalk>barfly>flux
Good combination of moves, but tripwalk and barfly are too easy.

7. Julian Romiti - Tapdown>torque>pdx whirl.
Another good combo, but even easier than Zac's.

How does it feel to have a sick 1 video twice the size as the rest of the competition?

Gray! Props on getting these together so soon and even bigger props on your entries! Holy crap dude, holy crap.

Anyways, since I didn't enter this time, so here are my rankings for Novice:

Sick 1
1) Benjamin: Ripstein - hardest trick in the pack, had to do a little go-go-gadget-clipper to snag it, but I thought it was clean.
2) Kyle: Toe diving flapper - creative and the flapper was held for a good amount of time to demonstrate control. very good.
3) Sebastian: PS Mirage - Pretty much textbook, but the other ones above this were sexier looking moves.
4) Julien: Pixie muted SS Rev Whirl - Like how it was muted, props
5) Luis: Ducking Osis - Luis! nicely done, but on the easy end of 4-adds so I had to rank others above you.
6) Nathan: Beta Smear - The pixie is kinda sketchy IMO, but the symp mirage was done well.
7) Andrew: Toe Ducking Butter - The duck was a little high but still alright, it should go just over the back of your neck. Work on learning ducking from clipper.
8: Holly: Mosher's Tail - Tough to rank against ADD-based moves. I think if the handstand was held a little longer I could have ranked it a little higher.
9) Paul: Inside set Ducking Mirage - good duck and good mirage, but you gotta school ducking from clipper so you can hit it mid run.
10) Grant: PDX Mirage - I know you didn't have much time to put one together. Chest high set was totally not necessary. Try setting about waist high or a little lower, it will make the move easier. Cool mats.

Sick 3:
1) Ben R: Ripwalk > Stepping Rev Whirl > Ducking Osis - I assume you meant to submit this for open since it was tripless. Great execution. Use of both stepping sets. A clean duck. Excellent.
2) Sebastian: Smear > Tap > Atom - Very good execution. Genuine toe-guiltless combo, props. Next time throw in an illusion in one of those T2T moves.
3) Benjamin M: Stepping Far Legover > Butter > Ducking Butter - Very controlled. Go bigger next time!
4) Brian: Pogo Blizzard > Butter > PDX Egg - Brian my man :( Had this been clean it would have been a contender for 1st. Sweet trick selection but poor execution The blizzard is clearly 'the'... and then the set for the butterfly is unnecessarily high making it more of a bail. For the pdx egg, you set awfully high as well and the illusion dex is iffy. I've seen you hit these moves clean in other videos. Sorry
5) Paul: Toe SS Whirl (?) > Infinity > Whirl - The first move might have been a rev whirl? OK execution, good both-sidedness go bigger next time
6) Holly: SS Mirage > SS Mirage > Butter - Good bothsidedness, good execution but on the low end of difficulty in the pack
7) Kyle: Toe Diving Clipper > Pickup (not a legover) > ducking dragonfly kick - this combo was pretty sketchy, maybe it was the poor lighting. You are doing something weird with angling your foot when you duck/dive from it, work on learning those concepts from clipper.

Ben thanks for clearing up my sick 3 for me. My right foot is crooked and I believe my right leg below the knee is a little. My umbilical was wrapped around my foot and leg when I was in my mommy stomach and when I was born my right foot and leg where on my back. So that might be why the angling looks weird. Again thanks for clearing things up.
