How do I get better at juggling?

Post by funklovesfootbag »

Not sure where this topic should go so I chose the kicking circle...

I can juggle 3-balls ok, I can do cascade, reverse cascade, ping pong, mills mess, under my leg, and some other small tricks but I want to get better and I'm not sure how... so where do I go from here? It's tough without having someone to observe in person, I've seen a few online trick tutorials but it's tough for me to emulate.

Any advice is appreciated.

here is a juggle forum:
http://www.thewjf.com/forums/

also, you could try finding a local juggling club. most major universities have juggle clubs.

here is a site that shows some clubs in california

im sure jorden has some ideas too. he's the one who told me about the juggle forum i linked to.

edit: im bringing your sports bottle to you at worlds btw.

I guess shower in both directions along with box. I find 3 ball no fun so I got clubs and have been working with 3 club.

Just practice and things will click. Fool around with different throws and catches, different juggling props, all the skills are transferable. I did clubs for a good two weeks without touching balls, and when I went back I was mysteriously better at the balls than before.
Start practicing four ball fountain, sync and async. Work all the column patterns with 3 balls too.

I'm in no way a good juggler, but even just ten minutes a day will make you better.

A good place to learn tricks and patterns is YOUTUBE, and JUGGLEWIKI.

This site is the 'footbag.org' of juggling. It has everything you'll ever want to know about juggling. Probably more...

Practice. It's that simple. How do you get better at anything?

My juggling is in the exact same position as yours, and I've slowed down my progress for the same reasons.
