 :D

It's was no problem whatsoever Erik! I'm just glad people enjoyed it :). And I totally forgot I hit that! New 7 hurrah!

EDIT - Had a great 45 minute sesh this afternoon after work before I went and had a pint with my sister. It was a bit windy, but, whatever. My left knee started acting up though :(.

- weakside Cheese Processor
- Surging Inspinning Osis bs
- Smoke > Surge x 2
- Drifter > Surge > Drifter > Surge > Drifter > Bigwalk > Drifter > Bigwalk > run

It was cool. While I was walking to the tennis courts I decided I should be able to do surging sets out of Drifter, and about 10 minutes later, voila. I also did some new Eggbeater/DLO drills, but I think they were the reason why my knee started hurting.

EDIT AGAIN

Here's my Shred 30 & Sick 3.

Awesome man, huge props.

I hit Ripped Warrior > Bigwalk recently, have you tried stepping ss drifter > bigwalk or surging ss drifter > bigwalk? I'm sure you can do it.

Thank you :D

Today I was motivated to try big tricks due to Jorden's and Ners' videos. Surging ducking was going real well tonight. Other than that, didn't do too much else. I plan on waking up early tomorrow morning and shredding at the tennis courts if the weather permits. I'll also bring back the real old digital camera I used to use when I lived in Onoway, so I might make something out of it if I do go.

- Surging ss Drifter bs
- Alpine Venom bs
- weak Cheese again

Also had my foot on two more 8s. Sweet. I hope my knee holds up tomorrow.

I've just been trying to gain some consistancy these days, and working on a bit of foundation stuff as I go. My knees have been holding up real well considering how hard I'm playing, which I am very thankful for.

Sesh this evening was pretty good - I had upward motion on Surging Ducking Torque on my weakside, which gives me high hopes that I can hit it soon. I worked my Shred 30, which turned out a bit crummy, and my Sick 3s, which, on the other hand, were feeling good tonight. I didn't drill as much as I wanted to - I have a bad tendency to go off on a tangent when I play solo and try a lot of different thing rather than drill the components that I want to :? . I need to get on top of that. I feel as though I'm not pushing myself to be the best that I can be as hard as I should (and want), and that I'm not going about it very efficiently when I do. Worlds is only a month away and I need to put my nose to the grind stone!

I haven't seen you duck stepping since ripped back-to-back two years ago at Hackrifice... I guess surging ducking is easier for you? >_____< A really styley combo for you to try is surging diving clipper X 2! Coooool. (If too easy make them surging diving rev swirls!!!!!)

Yeah, I never do Stepping Ducking Erik. It's a lot harder for me in comparison to Surging Ducking  .

Had about an hour and ahalf kick last night, but I got right into it too quickly and didn't stretch afterwards because I was late to go see my girlfriend. So that all ends meaning that my knees were hurtin today :( , but I will still have a kicka t the YMCA tonight. Rory is in San Diego for a robotics competition and Kevin is working a pull-through bar shift, so it'll just be me. Maybe I can do some of that drilling I was blabbin about a few days ago ;).

Oh yes, some of the highlights from last night:

- Cold Fusion
- Gyro Whirr for the third time
- Nuke ss Mirage > Tapping Drifter bsos (inspired by Mr. Clavens)
- Nuke Whirl bsos
- Matador > Nuke ss Butterfly, Sumo and Nuke ss Mirage bsos

I also came really close to a few drills, which I want to hit today. Maybe I will yoink Kevin's camera and film again. Maybe I can not be an ass and also buy him a couple of tapes too... Sounds like a good idea to me :).

Really lame of you Byrin, to say that pdx tap - tapping drifter bsos was inspired by Dave, when I hit that exact thing like 5 days ago. AND i wrote it in my blog.

you disgust me

Had two really good sessions in a row. From now until Worlds, I'm gunning for atleast 5 sessions a week. This week, so far, I've had 4. I'm confident I can do it, so long as my knees hold up. I just need to do lots of stretching to cure that ailment.

- Far Rev. Swirl > Matador x 2
- Rubberman 2 a few times (Nukes are getting better :D)
- Haze > Butterfly > Fog > Butterfly > Haze > Butterfly > Fog > Butterfly > Wet Dream > Butterfly > Bedwetter > Butterfly > Wet Dream > Butterfly > Bedwetter > run
- Nuke ss Butterfly > Wet Dream > Dimwalk x 2
- Food x 2 midstring
- Food > Blur > Dimwalk x 2

Those are some of the better things out of those two sessions. In a week I already feel as though my game has gotten a few notches better, which has me real motivated to keep going hard. I just need to keep stretching - that's the key.

I really kinda wanna make another video, but at the same time I just want to drill rather than shred...

I consider myself to be a fairly patient person. In my own opinion, it takes a lot for me to get upset over something. I'm actually a pretty humble, modest, friendly guy. But sometimes, you have something that quickly puts you into a murderous rage. You know, that one thing that just drivesyou up the wall and fills your vision with red. It doesn't matter how patient, or friendly, or nice you are - that something sparks the anger and fury that never really surfaces in your everyday life and takes over. I'm pretty sure it's those things that make people kill other people.

It's 3:17am. My fucktard roommates came home and weren't so carefull about it. In fact, they thought it a bright fucking idea that they should bring over more people, whom I'm assuming are fellow Red Robin fucktards who have nothing better to do. It boggles me why the fuck fucktards 1 & 2 thought it a great idea to bring a fucking parade into the house, especially when atleast one of them knows just how fucking pissed off I get when I can't catch just a few zzzs. Honestly, how fucking considerate is it to bring people over at 3 in the God-damn morning?! Especially when you have other people residing with you, people who want to get sleep so they can wake up feeling moderately refreshed so they can fucking prepare for the WORLD FUCKING CHAMPIONSHIPS in two weeks. You would think they could take their little fucking cunt-club somewhere else, somewhere perhaps a bit more public, like say, a bar or maybe any other fucking place where I don't have to listen to stupid fucking people trying (and failing horribly) at being discreet and quiet. Seriously, I was just about to fall the fuck asleep after about an hour of rolling around when you fucking people marched on in through the door. I'm so very tempted to open my door (you know, that thing one of you smart-asses thought it a good idea to close, even though sound travels through this entire fucking building as though they weren't even there) and make every motherfucker who has a cock eat my fists before I toss them out the door.

To you fucking inconsiderate assholes, I hope you have a good night, since you ruined any chance of me having one. Thanks a fucking lot.

Haha. It's so hard to imagine you saying that. Stupid dickwad hairy monkey pissing antwads. Instead of using my fists I would have filled up a bucket of water and cooled them off real good.

I'm feeling a little bit better Erik, now that I woke up at noon and only have 3 and a half hours until I have to go to work. I wanted to wake up early and have a long sesh this morning, but it looks like that won't happen.

Anyway, life has been pretty good other than that. I'm still pushing for the 5 sessions a week. My body has been feeling battered and bruised, but it's worth it. Worlds has been motivating me so much to get better - I really want to leave an impression.

Just don't destroy your body just before worlds @_____@
Andrew told me to start playing more to get ready for Worlds (like endurance-wise mostly) so that I can endure a week of shred; but my body is roughing it already at twice a week -- it already feels like a stretch. My body is just a wreck and I almost feel like I should play less. There's not much worse than that... :(
So watch out!

Rory's comment made me burst out laughing at work. Twice.
My coworkers are playing pinball, though, so it's all good.

Oh, your new video was awesome. There wasn't enough mid surging though. Man you're good Byrin. I can't wait to play with my ShrEdmonton friends again!

Footbagging with Rory this evening, I've been looking forward to it all day. Unfortunately work has left me in a really sour mood, so who knows how it will go... I'm guessing two ways:

1. I'll play well and it'll bring me back up or...

2. Bad mindset = bed sesh = I'm sorry Rory.

I'm hoping for the first one.

Had a really good sesh tonight. I'm a bit ashamed to say that it's Thursday and it's only sesh #2, but whatever. The quality of this one makes up for it :).

- Hatchet bs
- Revstein bs
- Surging ss Clipper > Muted Stepping Clipper x 2 (felt neat)
- Blurry Whirl x 13 (smashed older record of 6 or 7)
- ss Butterfly > Spike Hammer > ss Butterfly > Ripped Warrior x 2 (a drill I've been trying to do FOREVER! :D)
- Ripped Warrior > Ripped Warrior bsos (I've hit that twice in two years before this 8O )
- Phoenix > Spike Hammer x 2 > run with weakside Ripped Warrior
- Matador > Ripped Warrior x 2
- Pdx Torque > Rev. Swirl x 4
- Mobius > Rev. Swirl x 5
- Bigwalk > Ripped Warrior and Bigwalk > Spike Hammer bs
- Surging Blender bsos with weakside Gyro Whirlygig midstring (had strong off the foot :( )

I'm hoping that I've figured out stepping ducking finally, and that this wasn't only a good session for that concept. Still, though, they were feeling the best they've ever have which had me super stoked. The session ended a bit early due to a case of severe dehydration :(. I'll have to remember to fill my water jug up completely next time.

Fuck. Only 9 more days until Worlds. I have to put my nose to the grindstone! I'm a bit scared because I have a feeling that my supervisor at work didn't schedule my time off, despite the fact that I gave me week's vacation months ago and nobody came to tell me that it'd be a problem for me to leave for a week. I guess I'll find out if I did get the time off Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. If need be, I'll quit my job at the margarine packaging plant to go to Worlds. I hope it doesn't have to come to that... yet.
