i noticed you have really consistant stitching, im not trying to intrude on any personal technique or anything but...what do you use to make sure you have the same amount of gather for each side?? you can PM me if you want, or just dont answer at all.

I just stitch as even as possible and gather after every side, not all at once. It's really all about consistancy, focus, and practice. Good luck on your bags :)

1st of all, new bag.

Image

2nd, new fill. After some experimentation I have come up with a filler that gives a bag that nice wholesome metally feel. I aimed to make a fill that's not hollow, wishy washy, or has a cheap plastic feel. After break-in the bag should nice and cozy on your foot. Further altering will be made to it later in the future to make it as playable as possible.

That sounds like the exact filler I love(seriously)!
I love a bag that puckers when you squish it. A bag thats filled enough not to be flopppy and empty but full and feel heavy. I got some Josh raye bags that have this exact feel you describe.

By the way that bag looks sick. :D

That green and white bag up there has a new home and I love it so far. To this point this is my only 'mini' Or I am assuming it is a mini since it is noticeably smaller than my regular abshire and footfighter. It is not quite broken in yet (only kicked it around a couple of times) but it is so soft and it looks wicked awesome. Can't wait to get another chance to take it out. Thanks Travis.

Practice makes perfect - it's as simple as that

Travis makes very nice bags. For 25 bucks with shipping I dont know how you cant buy these bags. Top of the line bags. Crazy good consistency. This guy is a stiching machine. They feel a little like a hania bag mixed with a clavins(at least mine do).
Definetly worth trying and buying. I got alot of these bags. Some from when he first started and some from the recent weeks. Hes definetly stiching in his prime right now. 8)
Check out some of his latest work:
