Heel Atw Heel
Given that this is a video competition, I think this move is far too easy. I bet 90% of people on this forum could hit this move within 20 minutes of filming. Maybe you hit it first attempt, but I can't really judge that. Also the set out isn't very good.
Actually I find this move (atw set and delayed on heel) harder than gyro barroque (my initial entry for this comp) and I'm not sure that 90% of modified could hit this within 20 minutes of trying. Still, I'd *love* to be proven wrong
Judging sick 1/sick 3 must suck because I don't agree with how you ranked those at all. I don't really care. I would just hate to be a judge and listen to people disagree

Yeah, well that's what head judges (such as myself do), they'll take the criticism

Yeah well I base my judging off the IFPA rules for sick events (that aren't approved, but are up for being voted on sometime soon).
If you don't agree with the rules, then you should do something about changing them. It's pretty weak to criticise the rules when so few freestyle footbaggers have expressed any interest in actually having a say about those rules. Having a say means actually being involved in the process, not relying on 2 or 3 people to do all the actual work for you.
It would be entirely inappropriate to judge something based on the popularity or unpopularity of a particular move, in my opinion.
Sick trick competitions are judged on the technical difficulty of the components and the level of execution. Creativity and originality are not factors, although obviously it is harder to hit many different components than repeats of the same component. Sick competitions are, by definition, a competition who can hit the "sickest," "hardest," or "most technical" trick.
I say this as the person who drafted the rules that are currently before the IFC, and officially approved in Australia, as well as being used at the last 2 European Championships (and other events).
Serious competitions have to have specific rules that you follow. A competition is meaningless if the decisions are completely subjective.
I think a trick being difficult and a trick being 'sick' can often be too very different things. ATW heel may be very hard, but its not exactly 'sick', ie. visually awesome with several technical components or something. IMO
1. Lee Van Sickle - For hitting mullet, with a mullet
Thanks, I'll be bringing it to Worlds with me.

Dude, have you seen what somebody did to your hair? The first link isn't very good, I think a clean spin out of an osis, you have to actually look at the footbag in the crossbody position.
hey i have a question that might not really belong here and doesnt really matter... but i sort of need some clarity.
6. Holly Mathews: pixie > pixie > butterfly
so pixies and ss mirages are two completely different concepts, right? pixie is uptime and ss mirages are downtime? i know the adds arent different between the two... but they are different concepts, right? im not asking this to be a bitch or have something silly corrected... im asking because im confused now.
edit: i forgot to say THANK YOU for ranking me... so THANKS!
some people call ss mirages, pixies. so there is the move pixie, which is ss mirage, and there is the pixie set, which is a ss mirage uptime. idk it doesnt really matter what people call tricks.

Good point. I've been calling them pixies (uptime or downtime) for ever.. so that's what I wrote down in the rankings. I also think toe ss illusion is fairy, at least if it's not preceded by a set.

Wouldn't that be frigid osis?
Sure, but it didn't look like you were attempting a frigid osis, but rather spinning out of an osis. If you wanted to hit a frigid osis - making your combo pixie ducking frigid osis>ducking osis>mullet, you should have accentuated the frigid osis a lot more. You were half way between; which means, to quote the Czechs; "froggy style"

idk.
It's not about if you actually look or not, it's about if you actually spin or not. If you're still looking at the bag from an osis then how can you have spun into a cross body position on the other side?

My first time on modified... LOL
Pretty surprised by the results... but that was cool !
I didn't expect this when I saw the videos... you were all good...
I always feel a bit 'handicaped' with my mainly-toe-play (my insides sucks) ... but, anyway... that's life !
Thanks also for the detailed comments... I'll try to do better next time...

about ATW heel ...I think that it is a very difficult trick but not either of professional nor level either of novice I think thats like a interval for can compete against many of the tricks that went out in the online pro's competition .. my point is that need a competition does online for abilidades intermediate, I know the problem also is the small quantity of people...
about Holly Mathews's tricks I agree completely with her a thing is a Pixie and different other one is the SS Mirage, also I think .. the judges committed several mistakes in the competition online of novices....
for example...
Sebastian Vanhove: Smear> Tap> Atom
they have reason a good execution made well...
But he repit 3 times the same trick
Smear (Pixie "mirage")
Tap (Atomic ss "mirage")
Atom... (Atomic "Mirage")
Also he repit 2 times the atomic ... i agree he win the second place but they have to say this type of things....
4. Brian Dennis: Pogo Blizzard> Butter> PDX Egg
Pogo Blizzard: good stepping bad illusion he didnt the round, he pass the foot Over the footbag and it is not an illusion (rev Mirage)
Butterfly: Good
Paradox Egg: the same mistake with the illusion and the legover was not completely well
