Me, the Team Captain and Justin the Head Coach from Team Finland had our weekly team meeting last night. We decided not to send Felix, Juho and Mikko to Florida, we figured it's better for their future development to have them sit out for this one. Instead we're sending Ilkka Malin to represent Finland mainly because we don't expect him to develop anymore . I doubt he's competing in freestyle, though 8).

Not that you care about it, but 8 Finnish net players are going as well.

I've also been told that Felix and Juho won't be attending. I've heard that Felix won't be going to Euros either.

I know some of you are sad about some Finnish players not showing up.

Well I just wanted to say that I will do everything in my power to avoid those giant flying cockroaches they have down there in Florida. But I'm going.

I don't think I've signed on modified in over a year but I just had to stop by since Worlds is coming up.

My friend Jon and I are coming from Connecticut, bought my plane tickets today. They would have been 50 bucks cheaper if I bought them two days ago but I had to be a slacker (psssh). I can't wait!

Because they need to develop of course  Whatever anyone does is their personal business. But I question the stated reasoning behind their not showing up.

Okay, folks. This is ridiculous.

So many of you have written into this forum thread saying you're going to Worlds in Orlando -- but, very few of you are actually listed on the official registration site!

LET ME MAKE THIS PERFECTLY CLEAR:

You must be on that list if you want to be sure to get into the event -- even as a spectator.

DON'T MESS THIS UP!

Please go now to http://www.footbag.org/registration/register/1163784775 and register. Yes, this means you.

Nobody is exempt from registering. Everyone must be listed to get into the event sites! Really! I'm not kidding.

Yes, all registered people -- even non-players -- must pay the $15 baseline fee to be part of the event(*). But the real price is more like $3, since you get T-shirt included (if you pre-register by July 31), and free entrance to all event sites. Otherwise, you will end up having to buy a shirt separately for $15 or so, and then pay Disney each day to get in -- that will add up!

Just trust me. Please register RIGHT THIS SECOND. It will only take 2 minutes of your precious modified time.

(*) Exception: family/friends who do not plan to kick a footbag during the week (i.e., mom & dad, uncle Bill, aunt Sally, the 4-year old twins, etc.) can get in for free, but only if "sponsored" by a paying, registered attendee. However, the only way to get people on this special exception list (and thus get them a free pass to the event sites) is to pre-register by July 31 and type their names into the obvious place on the form. Note: people who are listed in this space do not get free T-shirts. Just free entrance (aka "credentials") to the event sites.
