Yesterday was great ! I kinda regret now that i didnt write about it
on tuesday, cuz now i'm that goddammned state of tense tiredness
that i tend to be in after work .

My recources that day were weird and interesting . My body felt lazy, due
to heatwaves and class a **sh, but i was full of hopes and ideas, intrigued
by jays and jordens thoughts and pumped up by watching Ian's Heroes vid .

The beginning was hard . I didnt feel my clippers, my flip buttcheek annoyed
the living hell out of me and i hate g units . But i fought my way through, with
stubborness and the help of Jordens advice to keep an open mind on how
many ways there are do do any movement, with the goal of finding a natural
and effortless method eventually . That helped .

For some reason i wanna say somethings about the way i feel about my butterflies .
I guess i had a very twisted view of them since the start.
Toe moves were always so much easier to do . You didnt need too much
technical refinement to pull stuff of, all you needed to be was fast and determined,
accompanied by a vague idea about timing . Of course
i wanted to learn clipper stuff also, but compared to most players , my
attention was sorta reversed, and ripwalk or ducking butter are still
singular and tricky events in my runs . Atom to atom isnt .
When i moved to trying to play guiltless, a new madness joined the first.
I looked down on bops, totally misinterpretating the more advanced
players, when they talked about the worthy to achieve virtue of playing
genuine. Boy how much energy i must have wasted on cursing my
short runs ! But with time and experience, my attitude changed and using
more and more butters and osii, integrating dexless bits in my runs
and simply just having more fun with clipper related stuff, my whole outlook definitly changed.
I hope Cod still talks to me after this,
but i have butterflies for buddies now .

This nesessary simplification of things also found its way into the process of practice.
For a third warm up, i do a run with some easy tricks, aiming at bsosing
a commonly unsused or otherwise weak trick/concept as often as i can .

Same with links or moves that are still hard for me .
Working on single moves in terms of repetitions has its obvious goal,
drills make one hardin lots ways, but this new method will help
to get to a 20 + contact run.

you need to be insane to hit toe blur, but you need to be clever to hit ps whirl . Energy and Patience .

YOOOOOI !
Euros were so motivating, they still are actually, seeeing all these amazing
shredders makes me want to train harder and more often .

Not in a sense of rivalry, which would be stupid for many reasons, one being
the sheer difference in age and "setting", but to enter a world of joy and wonder .
I would really like to find out what i'm capable of, after witnessing
all the madness, appreciating clippers more and stopping to worry about
what others might think of me .

Todays session was really good as i worked on a lot of different concepts -
dlo, drifter, atomic, bops, ducking, spinning, paradon, whirl and what not .
I remember one good run with dimwalk>ducking butter>pdx mirage>butter
>whirl>pdx mirage>tap>butter>stpping legover>dlo>smear>d.mirage>
d.clip>d.clip>pdx mir>

Yo Asmus, my son and brother !!! dont be so shy when posting in blog -
we had a kick ass time in Vienna , with a little help of Leuch and your crazy overcoat :D
you are a real kool guy and sharp as hell, just make sure that you dont start hating the kids your age !

And dont you worry about your game or what i might think of it ; i think its
normal for players like us to shre worse than at home - consistency is
for pros only ! But if we keep drilling, we'll get there too one day :)

booo to absence .

on monday two weeks ago, i had the first crappy session in ages . by that
i simply mean that i was not enjoying myself due to my own attidude .
i usually work at footlocker on monday, which often means a tense mood
and weary lead like legs . with that setting, all i had to do was to throw
in stuff like, shitty balance ( due to my sucky infinities) to end up with
these dammed short combos that i hate so much .

the following days i did more infinities, osii and ripwalks than in the last
2 years, with some good results ( longer strings, better posture/balance ),
but nothing spectacular . the kool thing about that work out was that i got
some advice by a wing tsun apprentice who gave a lot of good spots on
breathing and general movement "economy" .

on the week end i got drunk with some mates, rolled my ankle while
taking a piss and wasnt able to play any hack or whatever until yesterday.
which sucks, since i am totally a hyperactive kid on holiday .

Yesterday was a bit mixed emotiontasic, i was cautious cause of my foot,
my stomach didnt feel good, my high energy routine seemed far far away.
but meeting up with Bea and being able to shred a little always feel good,
and i was smiling all the way home .

atom>dimwalk>symple swirl frst try

Great Session today.
Warm up was really slow and thorrough, it felt like 10 million clippers
and 60000 bops, and i also happily managed to stop by a lot of concepts before we started runs .

Runs were on, harder combos averaged around 10, three runs were
around 15 contacts . But thats ok, i was glad about all the bsosed stuff
and the fair deal of variety, so i didnt wine about the numbers much .
Spinning and stepping were a bit shaky, compared to sunday and i have
to try to bsos whirl non-drill like .

zoid pdx mirage>pixie pick up>short run

shmoe>quantum legover>run>spinning clipx2>run

atomic muted clipper>gyro pick up 8)

ripwalk>blur>dimwalk

toe blur>dimwalk>d.butter>long run

atom>d.butter>pdx dlo

atom>paradon>blur
( too many tries :D)

paradon gyro toe

Proper work out session .

Today everything felt like footbag was a real sport - biiiig warm up,
lots of stretching before and after the shred, a lot of helpful,
technical observations, nicely sequenced drills and a slight chance
for me to finally win the i-sweat-the-most-award...
Dylan, Jorden ect watch out !

Last session i pulled a muscle in the inner thigh area, so i took stuff
very very slowly, often paused to think about optimizing the move
and so on.
And, as if the age of reason suddenly kicked in, i shunned all types
of fast, agressive shuffle and focused on dexless and flip side
downtime stuff like drifter and even blender .
But the coolest and properly most rewarding thing was that Bea
and me drilled flip pdx whirl together - thats the first time in 2,5 yrs
that we worked on excatly the same concept with the exact same
configuration.( strong whirl=crap downtime/pdx whirl ) .
It seemed like hours, but with more smiles than curses.
We will be killer at pdx whirl 8) .

Warm up achivements :
28 clipper>clipper ; 41 clipper with the Mirken method; 23 bops ;

Nu guiltless combos :

spinning clipper>ducking mirage bsos
paradon>gyro mirage

FLiPSidE PbS :
tap>ducking mirage rpt>run

Alter, du musst deine clipper drillen...sonst gibts am geburtstag nichts zum trinken ! btw, its very motivating that i motivate you :D .

Tomorrow, when we have a guest from the u.s., who goes by the name
of Brian Damato, i will do runs only, but today, 'twas a plain old skoolin sesh .

I worked on some weak parts of my game, such as flip ss clip and flip atw,
osis, butter and so on for starters . Then i tackled some drills that had to
be dealt with, plus some standard repeats, in order to improve my stepping,
ducking and atomic skills. As for single trix, i drilled whirl, dlo, paradon and
barfly.

Understanding osis and barfly were definitly the koolest feeling things 2day.

ducking clipper>osis>osis>rpt :D

legbeater>dlo>short run bs

paradon>ducking mirage>paradon bs - i spent 20 minutes not hitting the full drill, but maby i do so tomorrow .

ss butter>whirl>dlo>rpt>sealed with 10 + guiltless 8)

atomsmasher>legbeater>ducking mirage

ducking mir>d.legover>rpt>butter>d.clip>div.clip>rpt

ducking clipper>barfly

Concentration Session :

I love being on holiday. Having worked at footlocker full time the last years
makes me appreciate my new life, with school, latin studies and these
long ass holidays even more. Although i do some of that sleeping in,
skating to the lake, shredding away carelessly in the sun and getting
bent with the crew at weekends since four weeks str8, it all still feels
like a dream .

Today was great. My day started with a big bowl of fruits and müsli and
giggly chats with my cute neighbors. Then i doped my self up by chatting
with Janis and Asmus, + watching circle madness from worlds and headed
to the lake. I love shredding there - good surface, people on bikes to
keep you sharp, plus some youths from the newly built skate park
to share the nosy spectators with.

Shredwise, i was focusing on long runs and the execution of tricks,
there are so many different ways as in how to hit a trick, and i'm just
starting to find out what feels and looks good. Now that i prolly will get
a new pair soon, i resurrected my old lavers strait outta their casket
and i was relieved not to miss the nasty g unit clipper .
there where a lot wirls, tapping pick ups, dsos an dlos, ducks and spins
involved, and still way to little stepping. Gotta change that.#
I also want to do more downtime double dexes bs midrun.
And i want to nail all the kool shit that i've been clearing the dexes for.
Runs were longish and relaxed, i seem to be on something here...
but i have to work hard to keep it that way.

I think its time to thank some guys here, in no particular order :

Serge for inspiring me to go for some stylee links

Lon Smith for shredding so detachedly

Asmus and Wim for reading and deutsch sprechen

Mathieu for providing us with the goods

Jim Penske and Vasek for being themselves

Jorden and Eli for helping me to understand

Stephen B. for saving my life

Andi, Bea, Bjoern, Max and Tobi for teaching me how to shred
