Seriously, though, its getting harder and harder to come up with new stuff. Someday it will be impossible. If this dude wants to go for it...sure. Hes gonna need better shoes at least.

I've known Jesse for a long time now. He's from Victoria (or the surrounding area) and he's played with us quite a few times over the years. He knows all about 'footbag' and the moves. He mostly plays by himself and is all about creating his own style; as you can see, he succeeded.

I saw him last on the bus about a year ago now, and he said he wasn't really playing much. This video makes me want to look him up, because he's come along way with his game since we played last.

SO smooth, loved his style, loved the look of it. he makes footbag look REALLY good. his style reminds me of chris balch's. I would love to play with this guy.

What's funny is I could easily imagine a world where this style of play caught on first and the type of shred you and I are used to seeing is considered fringe and exciting. I mean, I don't think an outsider (except Jon) would be able to differentiate this kids style from that of the average tiltless to guiltless one of us.

To make it clear, I did see his name on the YouTube vid, I just wasn't going to post it here to protect his privacy, should someone google him or what have you.

I guess what I was asking more is has anyone played with this guy before, and my question was answered.

This is what I had guessed was the case.

A guy like this who is so about his own style would probably not give a crap about the boundary conditions we have for "shred". As I suspected he's already been exposed to "mainstream" footbag and still does his own thing. Telling this guy he should go guiltless would probably just get you a blank stare.

So I'm glad he's innovating doing his own thing. If he's now posting videos of himself it probably means he's getting back into it. I hope Allan's attempt to contact him yields good results.

Wow I suddenly feel an overwhelming desire to learn whirling rakes. Oh awesome post by outsider as well really made me think about the way Ive related to some of my friends who play more casually than I do. Style is sometimes > skill level.

I have trouble differentiating between his toe stall and outside stall. I think when he does DLO's he's catching them outside, no? Are they completely interchangeable for him?

He also added pixie set. This guy is so good. Every one of his moves is so controlled it's unbelievable. To answer the above question, i'm positive he's catching those DLO's on toe. Catching with an outside the way he's doing it would be pretty hard i think. Also i just watched another of his vids, and he can do clipper set barrage to. This guys awesome.

both those moves were being hit in hack circles 10 years ago, guaranteed.
Even if the community didnt name and talk about them.

I would bet a considerable amount no one did Suderman's tail before he did. Handstands are a natural progression of a hack circle, flipping yourself over into a forward lunge type curl thing is not. Furthermore, its hard to do, so even if someone thought of it actual execution is different. And lastly, for suderman's tail you need somewhat of a good toe spot and a bag that will sit, doubtful a hacker would have that.

Back on topic, this kid is really sick, I think I've said this before. It would be really cool to mix his style with what we do now, and it seems like maybe he is learning new stuff (like barrage, pixie ss mirage). Either way, I like his videos.
