Long write up of Austin Reggae Fest in my blog. It was a reggae festival with TONS of hack circles. A great opportunity to introduce tons of hackers to freestyle footbag.
In my blog I shared a lot of my techniques for stepping into circles and how to build rapport and slowly introduce people to freestyle without turning anyone off or being a show-off/hack-hog.

Good stuff. Of course it should be said that there is a very noticeable negative trend between total number of posts and number of views per post - ie. the more posts in a blog the less views per post it has. There are only 2 blogs that have over 1000 posts and an above average number of views per post (mine and David Clavens'). Compare that with the top ten I just posted, where the combined total number of posts is 1058. The total average is 46.6 views per post, which is a lot when you think about it.
*As of about 30 minutes ago, although they can't have changed much since then.

Very interesting post Jeremy. When it comes to post/view ratio, you actually hinted at an issue which I think is the most interesting question: how do these ratios change over time?
As Jeremy points out, newer blogs have better overall post/view ratios. One possible explanation for this, is that modified gets more hits now than it did 5 years ago. Another possibility is that people read more blogs than they used to. Whatever the case may be, it is misleading to look at an older blog's post/view ratio and assume that it reflects its current rate.
In order to see how a blog's post/view ratio changes over time, one would need to record how many views and how many posts the blog has at different points in time (duh). It's possible Mike Hansen has backups of the forum over the years which would make this possible, but for the most part this data isn't easily available.
I did seem to recall making a note in my blog when I cracked the 50K view plateau, so I did a search for it. Almost exactly one year ago (Jan 11th) my blog cracked 50K views. Because I took note of this benchmark, I know that the last 400 or so posts in my blog generated 28.5K views. So while my blog as a whole has a view ratio of about 43.8 views/post, over the last year the average has been over 70 views/post.
Similarly, while Dave's blog has a historical ratio of about 46.7, I'm willing to bet that a post in his blog in 2009 generates closer to 100 views than 47, and certainly more than a post in his blog did in 2004.
What fascinates me is the question of why post/view ratios change over time. I would be very interested to see if there is a correlation between a player's rise in playing ability and their view ratio, or their attendance at tournaments. For example, I know I had more interest in checking out Olav's blog after the release of The Tryptich. I bet Dave's blog's ratio improved as he continued to win tournaments and become one of the game's best.

It could be due to the fact that I attended 7 tournaments this year, or because I started regularly posting YouTube videos in my blog. My assumption was that the blogs with the most posts have the most frequent posts as well, but when you view a blog you can usually view all the new posts in one go. So if there are 3 or 4 posts between viewing then you only get one view for all of those posts (from some people). Alternatively if you post once a week or longer then people will read each new post separately.
Of course I'm sure there are other factors, and I haven't checked the assumption that more total posts = a high rate of posting either.

Something that, if you are going into this much detail, that I think should be taken into consideration is that not every post in a blog is one by the blogger. So, you'd have to take some sort of average bloggerpost per page, to views. It seems that people like Dave have 2-6 posts (completely guessing), per post that he makes.
