Alas, tis a sad day for an MC bag in the Tank household... that's right, the one and only 32 I have right now.... got a hole in it.

Aw well, it endured a good 7 months, and Pat told me about shoe goo so hopeuflly that'll put me back in business, but until then Im stuck with a revo (Rochester version of a Mr. Sandbag).

So yeah, played for the first time since Wednesday, and unfortnalty my calf still isnt 100% so i think all that today did was exacerbate it. Aw well, I had gone much too long without playing and I already had made plans to go down to Syracuse today to play with Pat and Ben, but for some reason Ben couldnt make it I guess. Still had a fun 3 man circle w/ Pat and Ian. Ian played okay, worked on his tiltless game mostly. His clippers are definitly improving, and his osis are starting to come together as well.

Before starting, Pat was saying how his last 2 sessions were kinda junky so he was expecting today to be awesome... and as far a I could tell, it was. Idk if he was satisfied, but he definitly hit some really cool links and tricks. One highlight was hitting pogo blizzard during a SOAD song, "Bounce" and the lyrics are like "pogo pogo pogo pogo...! BOUNCE!" Ha, yea, so I jsut thought that was cool. Idk, he did a lot of drifter and whirl stuff, ducking stuff, spinning stuff, his games looking very diverse.

I played pretty badly. Haha, yea, my calf starting to hurt after trying some stepping stuff, which I realized Im sorta doing wrong on my strong side. :x Ugh, whatever, hoepfully it'll come w/ time. Also, i was playing on about 3 separate hrs of sleep. Like, I slept for an hr at my friends house, then came home and slept for 2, then left for Syracuse, so I was kidna drained. Meh, whatever, I still love playing with peeple so Ill take every chance I get.

Hmm, I did have a few good strings. I started off fairly strong with a good 20 or so contact tiltless string, and near the end I started hitting some bigger stuff midstring, like torque, and ducking osis. I had one really long strong tiltless/guiltless string when some peeple were watching so I felt really good about that. Haha, idk, i guess it jsut sucked mostly cuz my pixies were way off today. I dont think I hit a single assassin or phoenix. :?

Whatever, fun session, Im satisified. Now I am going to find some food, take a shower, and go play n64 games on my friends projection screen. :D

nice to have you two over in syracuse as always. Not sure what was up with Ben, but I'm sure he was just held up in Mass longer than he expected. Oh well.

sorry to hear about your cross bag, but I'm sure it could be fixed easily enough. It's just one hole. 7 months of playing is mighty fine for a bag. My Aiden lasted about 6 or so (RIP). Hope we can make it out to Buffalo this week. I'll keep in touch.

So yea, I got some shoe goo today to patch up my Cross bag, so Im just letting it dry for a while. Well see how it plays tommorow.

Ben, thats awesome that you'll be able to make it out to a Buffalo session! I just sent Pat a pm concerning Buffalo so I'll prolly see you guys this Thursday. Also, even though i shoe gooed my Cross bag I wouldnt mind trying out Ben Rea bag, who knows if I like it enuff I might even buy it off ya... given the price is right. :P :)

Word, so awesome shred today with Mike Anello and Jeff Hastings at Cobbs Hill Park. The rain held off all day until about 730, a little after we started to play. Whatever, it wasnt too bad and we didnt pay much attention to it so it was still mad fun. I hadnt played with Mike since the first Buffalo session, and since it was Buffalo it was more just screwing around so I didnt know what kinda stuff he was capable of....

Needless to say Mike was off da heezy fo sheezy.... yea i said it... but yea, his game is looking very solid. Lots of loooong guiltless strings, lots of ducking/diving, lots of bop variations, good pixie shuffle, all in all good game. It was great playing with him again too cuz hes such a chill guy and has a lot to say which is good cuz im generally a quiet person, so I like it when someone else talks a lot... and is of course interesting, which Mike is. So yea, it was awesome getting to play with him again, I really hope we can play again at least one more time before I leave for Boston.

Jeff was also playing pretty well today... as far as i could tell. Im not really too sure what hes capable of but everytime I see him his strings are longer and hes hitting new stuff. Beginning of the session hes like, butterfly>toe>flip butterly>toe and im like, "what!?!" (or at least thats what im saying in my head) cuz last time i played with him he was barely hitting butterfly on his strong side, and now hes hitting it bsos!!!?! Awesome. I cant wait till he learns the rhythm junk, its gonna make his game flow so much smoother, I just know it. Oh and he also hit osis, and I think fotted it flip if he didnt hit it.... idk if it was his first time hitting it or not, but either way, props.

Me? well I dont really remember any highlights, I basically just went with the mindset, "I just wanna shred" so I didnt really go for any big highlights... well i did try some stuff but i didnt really drill anything. I hit some really long tiltless strings w/ bops mixed in, and finally startin utilizing my near mirage from clipper to try and get stepping in shape. I dont remember what i did exactly but i think it went like butter>osis>near mirage rpt midstring and it felt reeeeaaaaally smooth. So that was cool. Hmmm, I hit assassin and phoenix both after many many tries. My pixie ducking freakin blows now. Idk why I suck at the ducking part so much. Whatev.

Well Im off to bed, gotta get up round 10, call some ppl, then drive to PA to pick up some fireworks.... 6 hrs sleep? its like im in hgih school still. :P

I'll take it!... once i find a 10 dollar bill. Haha, yea next time I see you man, I'll def. take one off your hands.

So yea, epic shred today. Played for like 6 hours or something? Idk, Pat and Ben got to my house round 2:30 then a lil after we went and played down by the canal till about 4:20 where we then proceeded to RIT to shred with THE Chris Dean. :) Awesome shred from everyone all day, I dont really remember any highlights at the moment, but I do know every1 was playin really well today... er, I think, Idk, whenever I think some1 else played well theyre like "aw man, i sucked today" and im just like 8O . But yea, mad fun all day, gonna play with Mike, Chris, Matt, and I tihnk Jeff Sunday. Maybe evben a Saturday shred? Who knows. I'd like to write something more detailed and highlight some of the hilarious events that took place today but I must depart in order to blow shit up...

So I wanted to post last night, but I figured Id wait till after the session today to post about it cuz I thought I'd hit a certain move today, but alas, I did not. :( Aw well.

The thing I wanted to post about last night was this 10 minute mess around thing at a friends house. We had been playing a bunch of n64 for several hours, so I was gettin kinda restless, and decided to stretch my legs, and figured what better way than footbag. :D So I didnt really warm up or anything and just started going at new stuff cuz I had finally gotten shorter shorts and happened to be wearing my lavers. What a coincedence  . So I tried atomic set, no go, stepping set, meh, then go to dynos... hit it bsos first try, came super close to b2b, and then, hit my 3rd 5-add, pixie ss dyno! 8) Woohoo! Its really my 2nd legit 5 imo. (bs blur and phoenix are the other two)

So yea, I was mad pumped about that alst night, and tried busting it today, but twas to no effect. I did manage to hit dyno bsos, but I dont know if anyone saw it. Meh, whatever, I was sitll mad pumped about it.

Yeah, so todays session. Had the luxury of playing with Matt Cross, Mike Anello, Chris Dean, and Jeff Hastings. A legit RFA session.... cept for Paul, but he's away this summer. So yea, everyone seemed to be busting huge today, ha, as usual. Jeff played pretty well, his legovers are consistently improving, he managed like 8 or something in a row, so that was cool. He also hit osis midstring, and I had never even seen him attmept this before this past Thursday, so mad props for that.

Chris was on fire today, his string length is incredible. I always wanna list some of his highlights but I can never remeber what he hits, he moves so freakin fast. Hmm, hes developing a furious set, throwing some janiwalkers down bs, maybe bsos. Tons of reactor>matador links. I think hes trying to hit rubberman 2 with reactors instead of legbeaters which is just 8O, to say the least. Also some a bunch of ducking shit, like phoenix>spikehammer (rpt) and junk. Idk, hes crazy.

Mike also played really well. His ducking is superb, so many ducking mirages, ducking legovers, ducking pdx mirages, and diving mirages. His style is so crisp, its really fun to watch. I remember he had one really long string while a gorup of people were walking by and I thought to myself "Hmm, I wonder if Mike knows how godly he looks to these passerbyers right now..." Needless to say, the peeple walking by looked stunned. I'm glad Im getting the chance to play with Mike more now, he's such an easygoing guy, so he's mad chill to talk to.

Ah, and we can't forget Matt Cross. Dude's a beast. No really he hit some sick beast combos. I think one was like food>whirlwind. It looked really sweet cuz after food it looked like it was set like a frigidosis so it was mad stylish. After that I think he wanted to try a 666 and was thinking food>whirlwind>mullet or something but he didnt really go for it. He had a pretty bad fall in a mullet attempt midway thru the session so that mightve slowed him down a lil, but Idk though cuz he still hit some big shit. Ugh, he hit something really huge and freezed it and just looked up at us and was like "come on!" and I didnt think to say anything cuz i was still trying to process what he just did. I'm still not sure what it was cuz I kinda missed the first past but either way, it looked crazy hard, so i'll say it now, PROPS!

I played okay. I had some really long tiltless runs that I was rather proud of. Its great being able to play tiltless for 20 contacts and not really think about it now. After playing tiltless for a while I would try near dlo and hit it, then try it flip and ALWAYS mess it up. Ugh, whatever, I'll work on it. Hmm, I guess I'll just list my main highlights:
-drifter bsos
-barrage bs (maybe bsos? dont remember)
-string w/ lots of ducking
-14 contact BOP string! :D (my record was 10, so now Im aiming for 20)
-far symp rev whirl 8O(or ps rev whirl if your not a prissy bitch about names :P )

Yea, so near the end of the session while every1s just going for big tricks and stuff Matts like "try a ps whirl" and I just kidna laughed then looked at him and was like "oh.... you're serious....alright" Then after seeing that hes like "try a ps REVERSE whirl" So im like "Okay" and BAM! I hit it like 2nd try, almsot bsos. I was soooo close flip and I plan to hit it bsos by tommorow. So yea, awesome session, I cant wait to play again, ive got footbag on the brain, what w/ dynos, symp rev whirls, drifters.... AHHH so fun! Ok I should go shower cuz I jsut found out i have another grad party in t-minus... 12 minutes.

Oooooh, of course, now i see it! Dam homie, mad props.

Session just now, 1.5 hrs, stopped on account of phone call (and the fact that i hurt my knee a lil, but thats irrelevant cuz i woulda kept playin cuz im an idiot like that :P). So yea, just drilled all session, no runs, jsut drills... and I am going to list them cuz i am soooo freakin tired trying to reach my goal for each one that yoyu should suffer too.

-ss butter>infinty (rpt) 20 contacts (this prolly took over 50 tries, first goal of the session, and 3/4 of the attempts i messed up at the 12th contact :x so frustrating)
-stepping ss clipper bsos
-stepping op clipper x4 :D (mad pumped about that cuz i hit all 4 on first try of reapeating that trick before trying it individaully each side)
-ripwalk x3 (all felt sooo.... right, must be the shorts  ) (oh, also record was 2 and i footed the 4th)
-ps rev whirl bs
-symp rev whirl BSOS
-SYMPOSIUM WHIRL (only one side, and it was prolly just luck, but it was so dam clean, I felt like i was floating, tried so many more times, but just couldnt get the same cleanliness)

Yea, so that all of that felt freakin awesome, and I HAVE to remember to drill it so i can do it on command and not after like 20 tries. Oh, and near dlo bsos to finish the session. 8)

wow dude nice variety of hard moves! stepping same and stepping far clip are two of my favorite moves, and obviously great for drilling stepping. if you havent hit it yet, hit:
stepping ss clip>stepping far clip>rpt
and also try stepping far clip without the plant. like a crispy drifter. you'll be glad you did :P

Aw good call pete, I'll def give all that a try next session. Also, yea I do have a myspace, buuuut i havent used it in over a year.... However, with a deal like that I might just be able to scrounge up the old password and send ya a friend request. :)

So I forgot to post highlights from the other day so heres what I can remember.... Actually, it's really not worth looking at, its all the same shit ive hit before basically just starting to get linked together. I think I'll jsut put all the best stuff at the top so if anyone doesnt feel like reading boring stuff they'll be like "okay, so thats where doug's level of play is about at right now" but then take what you think my level is at and divide it by like, 10 or sumthin.

-dimwalk>near dlo>plo (rpt) 7 contacts
-whirl>drifter (rpt) 4 contacts starting from bs
-Whirl>osis (rpt) 6 contacts
-osis>drifter>osis bs
-whirl>duck clip (rpt) 4 contacts starting bs
-butter>whirl>duck clip>drifter>pdx mirage
-smear>pixie ss mirage (rpt) 4 contacts starting weak; 3 contacts starting strong
-toe drifter bs
-ps rev whirl bsos (toe bail after each one though )
-butter>blizzard bsos
-blur bs (soooo close to bsos)
-legbeater bs
-tapdown bs

Im just too dam tired to go to Buffalo today. I really wanna go next week tho cuz everytime I do go its always soooo much fun. Whatever, hopefully a session this weekend maybe? Who knows.

Word Matt. Props on ripped warrior b2b, tis some dope shit.

So had a lil session w/ Bobby Today. Jon showed up for the last 20 minutes or so and did a lil. Bobby hadnt played in a while but his game didnt suffer too much. He had some decent tiltless strings, but unfortantly he still likes to go for the big add shit. He hit whirl a few times and sealed a torque. Hopefully he gets back into it enuff where he practices cuz he has a lot of potential. Jon didnt play much but he could still manage to string mirage and butterflies and stuff.

I played alright. Managed whirl>drifter (rpt) twice in the session. Hit some ripwalks bsos and stepping ss clippers. I think I got sidewalk bsos too, so that was cool. Im starting to use more ducking too which Im enjoying. I finished the whole thing w/:

-spinning mirage>butter>ducking clip>whirl>near dlo>butter>drifter>osis>drop on osis

so I was happy w/ that lil guiltless link. Now Im off to shower and grab some food w/ peeple.

hhhhhola.

Had a lil solo sesh today. Ussually I play in my basement and drill shit but I also wanted to run down to the canal, but I knew I couldnt do both so I figured Id drive down to the canal and play footbag..... hooray! Ha, yea, so what does that mean? It means I didnt drill.

Whatever, Im cool with that cuz I hit some mad long strings. I mustve had at least 5 runs that were over 30 contacts. Mostly tiltless w/ some bops and pixie stuff, but whatever, Im perfectly content with 30+ contact runs. :D

Near the end of the session I wanted more guiltless stuff so I hit

-butter>whirl>duck clip>drifter>duck clip bs (I really wanna rpt this drill)
-...

Haha, yea I tried to do a 10 contact guitless string and I got as far as, plo>plo>butter/dimwalk>whirl>drifter>tiltless run>butter>flip whirl>drop flip drifter :x I really just wanted to hit whirl>drifter bsos rather than b2b, oh well, I was mad close. Oh yea, I also managed duck clip>near dlo bs.

Word, so what awesome timing my friend who just got back from cape cod jsut called and I was really hoping id be able to hang out with him tonite. Looks like Im about to go shower and then get some food.

Ok, so I really hadnt planned on posting today, but now i have to.

First off, when I got off work today, I was walking to my car and what should happen to catch my eye? That's right, hacky slackers! So I take a lil detour and hop in the circle. I kick it a few times then pass. I get it again, do a legover and clipper then pass. bag comes back to me real fast, and theyre all like "o shit!" "dude, what?!" "pfft dont pass it to me, im not playing" so I figure "okay, ive gone too far, they're intimidated" and proceed to hit an osis, ducking clipper, and ps rev whirl all in one string in baggy shorts and my normal sneakers.:D :o 8)

So obviously that wasnt enuff to prompt a post. However, as im sittin here at like 9:30 just waitin for a friend to call back I'm like "hmm, idk how long this is gonna take" so I figure i'll just play a lil hack in socks, ya know, just so i dont break a sweat.... yeah, right. So after 5 minutes I grab my lavers, burn a cd, and head to the basement. I played barefoot for a good 30 minutes and realized that i could A)quantum bs and B) atomic bs, so obviously I go for sailing set and frantic set. The only thing I could hit out of frantic was a butter, but w/out shoes i could only foot it, however...

highlights:

socks:
-sailing ss mirage bs
-merlin bs
-toe blur bsos
-atomsmasher bs

shoes:
-sailing ss mirage strong side
-pandora's box bsos
-gyro mirage bs (sooo close to bsos soooo many times, ended session with gyro mirage>handcatch>flip gyro mirage>handcatch)
-super close to vortex 8O (I could never envision myself even attempting this move before)
-whirl>ducking clip>drifter>ducking clip bs (working on repeating this drill)
-parkwalk>dyno>torque 8) (i think this might be my 2nd tripless link, first was dimwalk>ripwalk>dyno)

Yeah, so that was my night, and as I guessed, my friend never called back. Whatever, Im glad I played instead, I wasnt even going to bc I didnt wanna get sweaty, so this worked out better than doing nothing all night. Oh, and also I did all this w/ a new bag that my friend recently stitched for me. His name is Ian Pfeiffer and he hasnt started selling bags yet, but I think he should totally start cuz I think they could definitly become very choice.

Aw man, epic session.... er well, at least regarding the peeple there...

So yea, lets see... me, Pat, Jeff, Chris, Mike, Gray, and a special appearance from Paul Agostinelli! Ha, yea so that was a really pleasant surprise, I hadnt seen Paul since... hmm, maybe GRASS?... No, thats not true, I did see him outside of javas one night, but that was a fluke. Anywho, it was such a big sesion that we actually had to break up into TWO circles 8O .

I dont really have any highlights, but that one dude Gray hit some massive shit. His eggbeater-esque shit is insane. I remember him trying like massacre or something. Idk, it was bubba ps eggbeater and he was mad close so hes just like "hmm, lets try it paradox" and BAM! he got it. It was mad cool.

Ussually Id post about every1 and their highlights but Im mad tired so Im just gonna say... Jeff keeps getting more consistent, strings jsut keep getting stronger, Mike is a ducking and double dexing beast, I didnt get to play w/ Chris, but hes Chris so it had to be insane, Pauls shred is still freakin styley like whoa, obivously Gray was a sight to see, and Pat's prolly one of my favorite peeple to play w/ cuz he can keep going as long as i can and is just a really great source of motivation to keep trying that one trick thats eluding me.

So yea, peeple go to worlds soon, so this place will prolly be pretty unactive for a while. Whatever, I'll still be posting cuz I plan to play a lot the end of this week and next. Also, when worlds is over I should have 3 new bags to add to my collection! :D

planning to play a lot soon? Hm. Funny - so am I. Coincidence? 8O Had you heard what Mike said about himself going to worlds? Was he? If not the three of us should jam. And Ben can come too I suppose. We need some three/four person circles going.

Anyway good playing with you, as always. It's great how every time we shred we're the last there for like three hours. Good for playing, bad for work the next morning  . It was pretty rough today. Anyway, peace OUT d

So excellent STREET HACKEY session. Yeah, thats what its officially known as now....

Ha, yea so Pat and I played for a good 4 hours or so yesterday. Prolly woulda played even longer if I didnt have a communication problem w/ Ian beforehand. Aw well, its prolly best for my legs this way. So I left my house round 540 and met Pat qat the skatepark at promptly 7. Actually I followed him in. It was just kinda random cuz I was like "Wait, Pats already here... but that looks EXACTLY like his car..." Turned out he went to get pizza or something, haha.

Yeah, so we played for a good 2 hours at the skatpark until it got dark and the ranger needed everyone to leave, however before we left we both managed to hit some pretty good shtuff. Lets see, Pat managed some really long solid strings. His stepping looks effortless at times. His drifters and spinning were really on as well, I tihnk he also footed vertigo bs actually.8O He mightve even hit it on his flip or something, im not sure, but it was mad close.

My shred was pretty on as well. The last week or so ive been playing soooo shitty, even my trustworthy pixies werent there to save me. However, yesterdays session turned all that around. My string length was feeling a lot better and at the end of the first part of the session i was pumping out pixie shuffle like it was nobodys business. :) Lets see I managed... (magellan>plo(rpt))>(smear>plo(rpt))>drop on strong smudge :x So I just picked up the bag and hit smudge>plo(rpt)

Word, so yeah that was that. I know im leaving out a ton fo other epic stuff but I cant remember right now. Anywho, onto part 2. The absurdly exciting portion.

So after it got dark and we had to leave the skatepark Pat goes "Theres a place over by this harbor we can play" so of course im like, "lets do it." So we drive over and it is PACKED. We finally park and Pats like "Uhh yeah so I kinda forgot about the chick n wing festival tonite..." but we went over anyway and found a somehwta clear spot under a halogen light. There were sooooo many peeple, like all of syracuse at this thing and they wer all drunk. Its cool tho cuz drunken peeple seem much more amiable to footbaggers than sober peeple. Theyre so friendly that Pat and I made 4 bucks! We coulda made 7 but were just so fuckin nice we didnt accept the cash the first time someone tried giving it to us. Man, we prolly coulda made like 20 bucks if we had a hat or something.

Yeah, so shred there waas feelin freat as well. There was live music and they played like, kryptonite, highway to hell, girls girls girls, and some other covers so Pat and I tried to play to the music sorta. Hes actually not too bad at it, a lot of his tricks were actually on beat. When I tried it... well its kidna like clapping uncontrollably to "we will rock you", a song with a very apparent beat. Aw well.

So we shredded for another 2 hours or so there and at the end I was jsut drenched in sweat. I had to drive home shirtless it was so uncomfortable. Everytime I went thru a toll booth I thought "Hmm, I wonder what the guy in the booth is thinking?" Anywho, yea, we played pretty hard, and it started showing cuz my string length started just going to shit. However I did manage whirl>drifter(rpt)>run on my 2nd try, so that was mad cool. Pat hit some sick long strings again, I remember giving him a couple high fives. At the end, right before we left Im like "ok, sick 3 time" and I managed dimwalk>ripwalk>drop. I was so god dam tired. Then Pat tries and he hit some smooth flowy sick 3 then asked me to give him one. So I said, tapdown>dyno>pdx whirl, and he hit it 2nd try. 8O Thn he gave me one to try but luckily a cop came and told us every1 had to leave, which I was okay with cuz there was no way I was about to hit phoenix>ripwalk>rev whirl or even terrage>dimwalk>something.

So as we were leaving we stopped at some tent along the harbor and grabbed 2 bottles of water. We were standing in what we thought was a line, but no1 seemed to notice we even grabbed the water so we just slowly backed away and walked off with some free water. score! I was so thirsty, it was so refreshing. Then Pat and I jsut talked footbag and stuff for a lil and then parted ways.

Woo, that was a lot, good thing Im posting it while every1 is in worlds. :P

Peace
