yeah. We've never met, but I'm sure one day I'll bump into ya at some future footbag event.
Anyways, I've read your last few blog entries because, I've been surfing around modified, bored at work. They're a good read; you're a very interesting person/ entertaining writer.
Just would like to say I'm sorry 'bout your back injury; I hope you heal up quickly so you can get back to shredding asap. Anywho, watched that vid you posted recently..always an inspiration. Haven't played much this summer because I've been busy with work and the such... vid got me to go out back and kick for awhile; felt good. Thanks.

Today started like any other day. I woke up, ate raisin bran, skimmed the newspaper. I showered, the warm water broken by my broad shoulders and rippling exterior. I dried my brown locks, shaved for the ladies, and proceeded to dress in my typical work outfit, which consists of black pants and green polo. Securing the “Davidâ€

Actuallly.
I think most people's flipside looks better, because they work it longer.
But yeah, your flip does look like ass (joking.

I had a dream that I got yelled at by a friend's dad for leaving a glass on the counter.

Hahaha, those photos of Toolan were awesome! Thanks for posting them.
As for ankle stuff, I find it takes longer than you think to heal, because its a weight-bearing joint. That said, doing stuff like spelling out the alphabet in the air with them helped me.
Looking forward to hanging out with you at worlds. I was hoping to hang with you before then, but some crazy shit happened to me. Tell you about it at Worlds.

I am not playing footbag and thus have nothing footbag related to blog, but I am taking an English class this semester. A few people have told me they enjoy my writing and for this purpose I will post some of the things I think are alright. However, knowing myself, I will probably hate this essay later, but that's ok. Either way, read if you like. The assignment was to write about a memory that you have.
Thanks.

English 50 Exercise 1
The yellow doors swung open and I took the foot and a half plunge down to the street where I’ve lived all my life. I stepped forward a bit and the doors closed behind me, the bus disappearing in a cloud of smoke and the faint sound of laughter. The last leaves of fall clung to the trees like a child to its mother, and a few gave up and fell as I stood there in the cold. I walked alone, holding my backpack a little looser than normal. My 8 year old stomach felt like I had just had a full meal, the sickening feeling of fullness pushing on my waistband even though I hadn’t eaten in hours.
I crossed the street and my driveway became visible, my eyes falling on the cracked cement that was normally vacant this time of the afternoon. But today was different. Two cars in the driveway let me know my mother and father were both home from work early. The feeling in my stomach worsened, my backpack straps slipping between my now sweaty palms. My eyes quivered with that suddenness that only comes in the moments before crying or sneezing. I shook my head, my brown hair slapping my face as I tried to bring myself back to my senses.
I turned and walked up the sidewalk of my house, rationalizing the presence of my parent’s cars. I opened the door and saw my dad crouching on the stairs, his face buried in his hands. My mom’s tear streaked face managed a smile at my presence, but her lips soon returned to the emotionless line they had obviously become accustomed to. My sister sat on the couch with an expression similar to the ones kids get when they find out Santa isn’t real. Confusion, grief, and disbelief made themselves at home in the dark lines on her face.
That image of my family gathered around the top of the stairs is one that filled my mind every time I walked home from school for the next ten years of my life. It’s weird, but it’s one of the most vivid memories I have. Even now, almost twelve years later, I still pray for an empty driveway every time I turn the corner.
Have a nice day.
Thanks.
