I don't know where to post that so I'll post it here. It is the first time ever I'm travelling, I have an idea of what I need to bring else than my footbag apparel but I want to be sure I wont forget anything. So I was wondering what you guys make sure not to forget for worlds and for travelling? Any help would be cool. What should I bring with me? What do I need to buy before leaving?

Haha. I don't know where to post this, so I'll just do it here since it is related to Worlds. I have had a change in plans lately that I am coming to Worlds again. The night I found out, I had this strange dream. I was at a party with you guys down there, and I guess we were celebrating with fireworks. Instead of having the normal M80's and stuff, someone had a whole stick of dynamite like a red one from cartoons. He didn't know if he lit it or not and started screaming for everyone to get out or something. I literally jumped out of my bed and grabbed my blanket (that was Kayleigh in my dream) and ran out the bedroom door.

I'm a nut. I've been having Worlds dreams every night since then, I think.

Woaaah, wait a second. There are no check-in times on Monday?

My plane doesnt arrive in Orlando till 11pm Sunday and check-in ends at 8pm ahhhhh. So I'll have to wait till Tuesday? Damn!

I guess I COULD buy the crap from Disney for Monday. I'd rather not but there's no way around this unless I have someone down there (not happening) bring my waiver right?

EDIT: No one needs to answer that, it's just bad timing on my part. I've never been to Florida so I'll spend Monday checking it out and stuff. I'll just be missing prelim net so thats not too bad. Speaking of net, I really want to try a bit down there...

Less than 31 hours left to register online for the World Footbag
Championships! If you register online, an event shirt will be

Maybe I'm stupid or just a net player, but I don't get the waiver thingy. Who needs it? Is it everyone under 18 and everyone who can't make it there during check-in times? Or is it everyone who has registered? Or just people who aren't going to compete? I don't have a waiver but then again, I'm 18 and then some.

I guess what I really want to know is, do I need a waiver? I'm 18+, will compete and will be there during check-in. Another thing I want to know is, what's a waiver?

In THIS thread on the .org forum it says:

We MUST receive signed waivers from every player or spectator at one of the three check-in times (below) in order to give you the Disney credential that grants you access to the event site.

So everyone (players and spectators) needs to have a signed waiver.

People under 18 need to have a parent or legal guardian sign their waiver.

The waiver basically says that if you get hurt you won't take legal action against the event/site. Also that they are allowed to take video/pictures of you and use them in basically any way they want.

From the Registration director (me),

We have two waivers. One is required by Disney. The other is a liability release for IFPA and Fancy Footwork. We are requiring that everyone who gets a credential from us turn both of these in to us at check-in time. We will have these available at check-in for you to sign (or print it out now and bring it with you - see below).

If you pre-registered and added any family members, you will need to pick up your and your family's credentials at check-in time. So either bring your family to check-in or bring their signed waivers to check-in.

Waivers are available today in the "under 18 section" of online registration as a pdf. I will post the pdf somewhere else on the worlds site so they will be available after registration closes tonight. I can post the link to that soon.

If you cannot make it to (late reg and) check-in, you need to pre-register in order to get a credential. Either have someone check-in for you (with your signed waivers) or you can make special arrangements with tinalewis at footbag.org to get your credential.

Question about payment for registration..

Basically, I do not have any US money on me at the moment, and my parents are not able to give me their credit card right now, so I clicked the "pay later" option as I registered. It says I am confirmed, but not guarenteed... Since I am not "guarenteed" to be registered, does this mean that I might drive a few thousand kilometers to show up, and they say "sorry, you don't have a spot"?

It says that late fee's may be charged, does that mean late fee's are after tonight, or late fee's are after the last registration ON site?

its my understanding that paying online gaurantees your tshirt. maybe you should email them?

If you register online (and don't pay), you won't be turned away as long as you check-in and pay at one of the designated check-in times. It is better for the organizers if you register online (pay or not), than if you register late. And better for you - check in will be faster.

There will be no late fee. The penalty for registering late is that the event shirt won't be included as part your registration fee. If you register late and still want an event shirt it will be extra. Late registration means you register on site at one of the designated check-in times. There will be no chance to register after that and all events will be closed.

I am trying to confirm the deal with the shirt. I'm not sure if you still get the shirt if you register online but do not pay.
