Awesome guys. I am renting a phone, so when I get my mobile number for the rental I will post it here. A little more about me: I just turned 21 years old and I go to university (I think thats the correct term for people outside the states
) where I am going to be starting my last year this semester as a senior. I will be traveling with a group of maybe 7 or 8 but I am the only footbagger. I have never been to any of these places so it would be sweet if you guys showed me where to party. I will post more details later.

a mobile phone is as expensive as two sixpacks of beer in germany.
i guess all over europe youl´ll get a cheap pre-paid phone (including some bucks to make calls) for under 25 eur. (i could throw one at you if you send it back to me somehow, i got like 3 of them unused)
dont rent a phone. find a "blokkers" store in a'dam and buy "Tele2 Alcatel OTC550" for 20.- (includes 10.- for calling).
if in germany find a "media markt" and get a "sagem d2" for 8.-
o yea, 2 weeks for 9 cities... each of them worth to stay a week. thats really tough. you'll spend more time in a train than in the city.
have fun! dont sleep (only in trains!)

So I should just get a prepaid one when I land in amsterdam? Can anyone confirm if this is how it works?
Edit: Everyone who is interested in meeting up, leave your number here! It seems as though renting a phone from the US would cost me over 100 dollars, and prepaid phones are much cheaper. So I won't have a number until I am over in Europe.
