Thank you for mentioning that. I am also size 12.NuR wrote:hmmmm. i got a pair of the q2 at euros in size 12, which is also my laver,
air max bla bla size and they are too small, but since they said no
size 13 q2 are being made, i'll have to try different soles to make it work .
i think its a good and shreddable shoe, but yes, size matters, and i wonder,
why sizing rules changed or why there just isnt anything bigger than 12 .

penske just told me, that he wears size 9 lavers but 9.5 quantums. so i guess it's going to be complicated.
hopefully everybody who already has the qm02 can state here which size lavers and which size qm they wear to help people find the right size.
like alex said, the difference in sizing is because of the new heelcap and padding that was added and the slightly different cut of the toe area.
what is definately the case is that the insole in the qm02 is pretty thick (4-6mm). if you take that out or replace it with an athletic insole (recomended anyway) you'll find that the shoe gets a little bigger. so if you have size 13 lavers, size 12 qm02 with a different insole might well work. but i suggest you try them on at worlds first, if you have the chance.
about sizes in general, i think this has been mentioned befor but i'll say it again: the most expensive thing about a shoe is making the molds for the sole. so every new size is a major investment. we'll increase the range of sizes with each version (size 6 and 12 were added for the qm02) but we can't afford to produce a full spectrum right away. so anybody with size 13 has to be patient for at least another year. for those with size 14 and above i don't know if we'll ever go that high becasue it would mean spending a lot of money for only a few pairs that would be sold...

btw i wear size 10.5 rod lavers and size 10 qm01 and qm02.
EDIT: i got to specify that. i wear size 10 of the final version qm01 but for the qm02 all i have is a sample pair size 10. i canot say at the moment if the sizing changed for the final production because the shipment to switzerland is still in transit. i suggest only people who bought a pair of the final production at euros or worlds to state their sizings.

Hey everyone... I was waiting until I knew absolutely for certain that I had them in stock, and I knew my final prices (this is still a bit up in the air as I have to pay duties and broker fees for 1/2 the pairs, but I unfortunately will end up paying over $1000 more than I had anticipated for these expenses). I would still like anyone from Euros to *please* let me know their equivalent Laver and Quantum02 sizes. Right now, Jan's shoes seem to be the exception to the general sizing rule here:
Lavers Quantum02s
---7.5---8
---9-----9.5
---9.5---10
---9.5---10
---9.5---10
---10----10 (no insoles)
---10.5--10 (Jan Z.)
---11----10.5 (smaller? insole)
---12----12 (Q2 too tight)
I will have these shoes at worlds, or, you can now "pre-purchase" them here:
http://www.freedomfootbags.com/shredsho ... ucts_id=86
(At worlds they will Run $84 to since tax is 5%, and they will be sold at the footbag booth where I will have to charge tax).
I will also be adding Spenco Insoles (at very reasonable prices) on Wednesday.
Peace.

Once Worlds is over, will you be getting more Quantums in stock?
I was thinking of getting both the White/Gray and all Gray ones, but I don't have the money for both...yet.
So is it better to wait until AFTER Worlds?

If you pre-order them now, they will cost you $80, at worlds they will be $84 with tax. If payment comes through at the World's site, 10% of the sale goes to Disney and 5% goes to tax. I've already made a very significant sponsorship pledge to the IFPA and my fist $600 in sales is also going to them.Isilwar wrote:If we pre-order them, do we have to pay now, or do we pay at worlds?
Yes, that's one advantage of getting them at Worlds, for sure, is that you can make *sure* you have the correct size. I will have Spenco's at Worlds as well.PegLegHolly wrote:thanks daryl. if i preorder a size 7 for worlds, and it doesnt fit... will i be able to exchange them for a size 6 on site? also, if youre selling spencos with them on your website, will you be selling them at worlds too?
I don't anticipate getting any more Quantums too soon. I will have 100 pairs at Worlds (60 Whtie/40 Grey), and if pre-sales go crazy I can bring more as well. With pre-ordering I can make sure I don't run out of any specific sizes or colors. I'm not sure why you would want to wait until after worlds... If you are not attending worlds and pre-order them, they will be shipped on August 8th, otherwise you have to wait until the 20th.Grade Zero wrote:Once Worlds is over, will you be getting more Quantums in stock? I don't really mind the wait. The reason for it is I'm getting someone else to order these for me, but his card's maxed out until mid-August. Because of that, the earliest I could pre-order is during Worlds or a little before. So, if I pre-order before the 20th, it'll still be fine right?
Thanks

These shoes look great and my lavers are getting too small. My lavers are 8,5 US (which is now too small), so I would say my size is 9 US now (lavers). Still there is so much speculations of what size for quantum 2s when you got this and that size lavers so I wont buy them yet. So you people with laver size 9 US please post your quantum sizes
