Been shredding a lot, my legs are holding up alright but I am getting a little stiff. This is the longest multiple days I have played in a row. Played for only a little bit on thursday, but for an 1 1/2 hours on friday and 2 hours yesterday. So Like 7 days in a row or something. Some 12 year old kid came up to me in the park and watched me kick and asked me questions for the whole time. He wanted to try to learn too so I showed him a bit of stuff and showed him clipper and legover. He had played hacky sack before at school and asked if I knew any hack tricks, so I did the pendulum for him and then did atw>atw>datw and he really liked that. He said the rest of footbag looked awesome but he couldn't really tell what was happening because my legs were moving too fast. Not that they really are, but I kind of remember how it felt to first see footbag and how I was just like what!?

Not sure if I remember anything to post about that I hit. I remember a flip vortex in a run and some revups to pixie moves. I know there was other stuff, but I also spent a lot of the last few days just drilling moves over and over again amidst some endurance building runs.

Ok thats all... its been nice and cool in the evenings in Eugene, so I might go out and shred again tonight. Oh yeah, saw the Henry video and he looks a lot like noah jay-bonn to me on video.

Taking today off from footbag. I think I am getting addicted to modified again, it seems to really peak my interest in footbag though when I don't have anyone in town. Nate's coming here tomorrow and wednesday and we will shred it up. I'll let you know how that goes. Still about a week until Aaron is back from alaska. After that I'll start talking to him about putting out an Oregon video. I think he'll be in charge of the Eugene videos from now on because he is better at making them and loves the same rap that I do  Maybe we can get some vid of nate too. When my new car finally gets here I am going to try to go up to corvalis every other weekend to visit nate and keep his interest in footbag.

Oh yeah, I was trying to break in my only unbroken-in abshire bag because my last abshire is finally giving out and the darn yellow panels are busting through one by one before the bag is broken in. I think the material was much thinner than normal, or maybe thats how the yellow comes. The bag is totally wrecked. I tried to put shoe goo on the spots that were breaking though, but then almost all of the yellow panels started doing it.... bah. This is not a knock on abshire bags btw, I have loved every abshire I have had... but I do need another bag. I might talk to Aaron to get Richie to send me some new bags. Aaron has these new ones from him that are just awesome, but I might look elsewhere and try to support our modified stitchers. I just haven't bought one from anyone so I'm not sure who is a dope stitcher on here. I've either had Lonn bags or abshire bags and thats it, but from what I've heard lots of people are making sweet bags... Any ideas?

Hey James, glad to see you're back into it.

As for great bags from people, my favorite bag ever is a Holly bag. I recommend getting one, although she may not be taking orders til after worlds.

Thanks for the tip henry! We'll put out video pretty soon... if you want a current highlight of my game, take your game and divide it by 10 and thats where I'm at :P
I'm working to progress again though, I can't believe how much everyone has jumped in skill. We've got a bunch of vaseks running around! Wasn't 30 contact guiltless considered good a year ago?

Hey James.
I'm also playing with a Holly. It is a good size (was a bit small for me, but I'm getting more and more accustomed to the current standards of bag size (super small...)). It is quite durable from what I've seen so far, too. I have a Brinard, and it is just a bit smaller which makes a huge difference, and I haven't been able to really play with it seriously yet.

Two other bags that I love the most are Clavens and Peng bags (also Moshers, but I don't have one of my own). My experience is that they both died after about 6 sessions, but for that time they were the nicest bags that I have ever played with. Most peoples Clavens and Pengs last longer I think... don't know why mine didn't, but thought I would throw down some perspective.

yup,i just got a holly bag in the mail yesterday. i asked her if she had any prestitched and luckily she did because i didnt want to ask her stitch one up. so maybe you could ask her if she has any extras?

as for my comments on the bag. i can see where erik is coming from in saying that it's a little small but if youve experienced an abshire or an abshire mini then this bag should be perfect for you. it was uber soft straight out (still is.) and it feels like butter. it is easily my #1 bag....

im just afraid to get it dirty!

peace.

Holly bags sound great! I really like small bags, my mini abshire was probably my favorite one. Thanks for the advice!

100 club eh? Good grief :p I'll give it a shot, I think 54 is my record but it was a regular run. I think if I just throw only bops, ducks, and spins I could do it, seems like it would get a bit frustrating trying it rippin run style. Whew makes me tired just thinking about it. I'll go for it a couple times each session till I get triple digits.

Didn't have a session with nate yesterday because he accidentally fell asleep. He works graveyard shift and has to flipflop his schedule everytime he comes to eugene so its tough. We are going to hopefully kick as soon as I get off work though. I'm in a crummy mood due to a horrible day at work, so I hope the session goes well. Footbag either pulls you out of your bad mood or seals the deal on it

I'll post what we hit after the session.

played with aaron today. Aaron hit some good stuff, he is so much better than I remember him being. I guess thats what happens when you shred with Richie and Jason for a long time. Even though he didn't get to play much he definitely got a lot better in the marines. Watch out soon cause this guy is going to get super good.

I hit two new moves, gybas and pixie no plant swirl. Also came really close to swifter, had it sortof on my heel . Aaron hit swifter for the first time today.

Oh yeah, we have sort of made it a habit to play horse at the end of sessions... Its pretty hard to beat aaron. He smoked me perfectly the first game on 3 move, then beat me with only having an HO, and then on one move beat me with only having H. He has sooo many more moves than I do its crazy. He also was playing in new lavers which should have made it easier on me but didnt. Playing horse with him more will hopefully get me some more moves though. I told him if I ever beat him in horse I'm going to go ape shit.

Well that was about it, no really good runs or anything, we mostly just tried links and stuff. He noticed that I was hitting my foot on the ground with butterfly swirls. I never really noticed that at all, but thats probably why I can't hit more than two. Now I know what to do so thats cool he saw that.

I didn't hit much last session, tried a few more swifters was pretty close. Pretty close to butterfly swirl>spinning whirl. I had a run with ducking p dlo and phoenix, dropped trying a blurry whirl. Hit a flurry, probably haven't hit one of those in a while. There was probably some other misc stuff that I am forgetting... overall a fairly bland day. I forget if I hit anything new...

Nate hit (from what I remember), mobius bsos, blurriest bsos, scorpions bsos, blurry whirl> whirling swirl, a flurry, a few long runs with lots of double downs. He was playing pretty well and was nailing some good tricks. oh yeah also blender>ripwalk>ripwalk>blender>ripwalk that was cool.

We had to play early because nate had dinner plans. We were supposed to play with aaron too but he never got ahold of me. He was probably to tired from his leg workout.

good to c u keep this on page one James. mine isn't so I'll just post in here from now on.

i'm playing footbag again. james posted my higlights from the day before( good memory bro!) and today i solo sessioned for about 30 mins. more importantly I skooled my guitar for about 4 hours and learned the head to freedom jazz dance in 2 octaves and kenny burrels performance of I never Knew. I hit a bunch of flappers and and swirls and such. shuffle is good when I don't eat like a pig. flip fairy is suddenly appeared, i like when that happens.

go go james E GO!!!

Aaron called me at 8:30pm last night and forced my into a night shred until 10pm. It was pretty fun, we played at these lit tennis courts near my house. I hit a merlin which I haven't hit in a while, tried scorpions tail and dbl spinning clipper on my flip side and came sort of close. I hit a ton of good flip paradons though, those seemed to be feeling great. I'm excited to see how quickly those are progressing. I wish gyro moves were like that or whirling for that matter :?

Aaron hit some symp swirling stuff which was cool, he also hit revup bsos which was cool. He also hit rev swirling symp whirl, I was like huh? I didn't even know that move existed. I guess thats fairly similar to a revup, but I never thought of it b4.

ok thats all
