Interesting hypothesis Reiferman. I agree.

I just got back from tree planting in Northern British Columbia and there were about 80 people in my camp. Treeplanting is rated as the third most physically exerting profession in all of North America. (Depending on how hard you work) Out of the 80 about 30 were girls. Out of the 30 girls about 20 were first time planters. A girl highballed the camp (made the most amount of money by planting the most amount of trees) and another girl "rookie highballed" (made the most $ out of all the rooks) Treeplanting is predominantly a %100 male population but in the last few years has had a major turn around. Everyone in camp was super impressed with these girls.

I think that if more girls played sports instead of playing barbie and the ratio between men and women wasn't so unbalanced than women would be right up there in all competition. (I'm definitely not saying that all girls play barbie or that there is anything wrong with that)

Just recently girl golfers have played in PGA tournaments. (PGA all male) One girl who is like 16 years old placed better than a bunch of guys. Also, a girl in the WNBA dunked a basketball in a game and a girl in NCAA college basketball won the slam dunk contest.

Now all facts aside and down to my personal opinion. On average girls are shorter and weigh less than guys. But there are still super tall girls who can out dunk guys, there are still super strong girls that can knock out guys in boxing matches. Although there will be a smaller percentage of them because on average girls have less muscle mass and smaller brains, just kidding. So if there is a small class of girls who can compete with top notch male athletes then they should be allowed to. The next question is: Is our athletic system and judging system smart enough to make different classes or levels tailored to all the different individuals. I'm talking male and female all one category except make the classes or levels of competition much more specific. (This probably will never happen because sport is primarily used for entertainment and any type of change that is tailored this much to the individual will cost too much money)

My 48 cents. I hope it made some........cents.
First think about how to practice or don't bother practicing.
