Modified is going to be pretty dead for the next week im betting.
Post here if you aren't going to worlds and you want to bitch and moan about it. or if you want to have a good attitude about it and sympathize with the others that have been "left behind" (haha) or if you're bored because threads on modified just arent being updated like you're used to.
I'm not going to worlds because I don't play footbag often anymore, pretty much never yo. Plus I don't like florida very much, especially during the summer months.
didnt want to because its too far away and i dont like traveling alone and i dont have money and my parents probably wouldnt let me and i couldnt get time off work.
missing worlds last year was really sad to me. I made myself feel better by getting out to US Open. Peter and Ben, what are your next events? you guys should make sure to check out funtastik. I'm not sure if I'll be there this year, might do moe.-down instead.
I'll be posting updates, feel free to post in my blog if you have questions. I will try to keep people up to date on what fresh shit is being hit, who's looking good for BAP, what's up at the parties at terra verde, etc.
yeah, thats the upside matt, and why im not totally bummed about missing worlds- now that i have a cushy locksmithing job and i've gotten a bit older, any weekend jam/tourney anywhere near the east coast scene is now a fairly viable option, and no more 9 hour bus rides as i'll be making plenty of money to fly wherever i need to, and i'll have a car on the road fairly soon as well. i'll probably be at funtastiks, and NYJ in chicago is pretty much a given this year.
all of which is very good because i havent been to a tournament since cornell, and i've been really really jonesin'
I'm going to do my very best to go to Funtastiks after Worlds.
I think I'll do a ton of stitching at Worlds for people who want my bags, so that I can save up some moolah for a trip to Harrisburg.
I missed out on Jersey Spike and East Coasts this year. I'm NOT going to miss out on Funtastiks!

"Footbag can be pretty frustrating when it's supposed to be fun. I was partly driven by this forum - practice, practice, practice... As that is true, I think someone can be too focused on progressing and training that they miss the fun aspect of it." - Bander87
oof them's fightin' words. I wish I could go to Hackrifice. I'm going to go to funtastiks. I never have and it's an oddity. It's the weekend I need to be going back to campus to get unpacked but I can definitely come for the first two days.

I only started kicking again a week or two ago so it was way too late to plan.
Weird thing is, my parents just left to go down to the exact area where Worlds are taking place. Maybe if they offered me a place I could have gone anyway.
