I probably have a stress fracture on my right leg, just a little above my ankle. Previously I had one on my left leg but it somehow managed to get better. The problem is, instead of taking a break from playing to let it heal I keep relapsing and playing again. After I play, it hurts again and I'm reminded of why I shouldn't have played in the first place. Repeat 10x....
It reminds me of an addiction. As soon as my leg isn't hurting I really want to play again. Watching videos and the recent worlds coverage isn't helping at all. I tell myself, "What wrong with just playing 10 minutes"? Or, "I'll just practice my ATW's and swirls". But instead I end up having a full fledged session for over 30 minutes.
Seems like a vicious cycle. I just can't help myself.
Anyone else been there?
Relapsing
I did the same with my knees.. It first stopped when I couldn't play at all. i HOPE you don't have to learn the lesson the hard way as I did.
I think if you can't stop touching the footbag do something that doesn't bother the stress fracture. (Practice tricks with the other leg, learn to juggle 2 bags etc..)
