Hi guys and girls. cool topic.
I heard a set from digitalism the other day, it was crazy. If you go to this website
www.abc.net.au/triplej/people/default.htm
and go to program streams at the bottom right
then go to mix up
you can listen to it yourself, i thought it was well wicked.
It is the first set on. Youse will have to listen to it before saturday night as they will put on a different program for the week.
DJ mehdi, i found him pretty tops to listen to.
George Acosta, Gabrial and Dresden, Above and Beyond. So many good djs out there.

I bought Breakspoll Vol 3 the other day, mixed by Ed Solo and Skool of Thought, its sick!! And well priced too. I love this series
Going to see Kid Kenobi tomorrow night (Australia's number 1 DJ, three years in a row). He used to play Breaks all the way but has now moved into electro-house which is the sound gripping Oz right now

Yeh it was pretty sweet, the party was like 3 floors with DJs and bands. I got to see (and dance to) all of Kid Kenobis set but then one of the girls i was there with was sick and wanted to leave and another bloke had to get his missus home for uni the next morning, so we left at like 1230am! I was sooo disappointed, id been really looking forward to the night.
But i got to see Kenobi so it was mostly all good haha
His set was pretty good, although part way it seemed something fucked up and all music stopped mid-track or something, it was weird. But then he started back up with 'La la land' by Poxy Music vs Green Velvet, and all was right with the world
Glad to hear he hasnt abandoned breaks altogether.
I found the other week that Breakfastaz played at Break Inn in Sydney and i didnt know about it until 1 week AFTER!! Soooooo angry!!! i think that happened last year too!!
Also Chase and Status are playing Break Inn this week but i have to work
Im keen to pick up the new Hook n Sling album which came out recently...love his remix of 'Shake It Up' by Stanton Warriors feat. The Beatnuts...makes me happy when the DJ plays it at work

freakin love that track.
I remember when that happened to you last year.... wasn't that another group though? uhh... starts with P...... total mental blank... damnit.
(still hate you)
there was this sweet gig on in bendigo a few weeks ago with... andy van I think, from digitalism, plus some other good dj's. I went. I got spiked at midnight. I went home and had a blood nose all over my friends parents bed while sleeping/passed out. I was so pissed off. Monday morning I was fucked, couldn't think straight, totally scattered and depressed..... coming down we think. If I ever find the freak that did that......
it sucked so bad though, at least nothing serious happened to me. OneLove is coming in a few weeks so that should be good. I'll post my mix here I'm putting together at the moment when it's done

I used to go to raves when I was in highschool. Went every weekend for about 2 years.
Umm I was really into hard techno, hardcore, and acid techno. I also like small amounts of jungle and Drum n' bass.
A lot of the people I really liked were local NYC DJ's. Some Mass. and some Philly DJ's.
If you want like bigger names then Infected Mushroom was always good and Daft Punk..you can't go wrong. Prodigy, BomfunkMC's, etc.
Then there's always like Tiesto, Julian Liberator (UK), Delirium, etc.

Most of the stuff I'm mixing at the moment is very mark sherry/sander van doorn style, if you know their stuff at all. I don't really pay attention to genres, which I probably should.
some of my favourite tracks at the moment are from booka shade, cirez d, my two favourites right now are Lower state of consciousness by ZZT - Justice remix and Quarter by Mason - The Subs remix.
