Modding Lavers...

Post by StephenT91 »

I've taken the canvas out of the insides of the shoe so far but do I need to take it off the toe box? Does it really help all the much?

These are my first pair of Lavers, so I was really really careful since I thought I would probably cut through the mesh the whole time or something.

So should I go ahead and take off the toe canvas or is it not really necissary? I can toe stall and I'm an extreme beginner... I don't know if the canvas will make it too hard to some crazy whirls or whatever though. So this is me rambling my thoughts and questions. :?

A lot of people do take the toe canvas out and I'm sure it helps a bit but it's not completely necessary. I modded the inside of my lavers and didn't bother with the toes and never had much of a problem. Its up to you.

Well, if you're talking about the cavas strip at the toe of the shoes then there are ways to carfeully remove it. You'll need to cut the stitching that is holding it to the mesh.

If you are really worried about cutting the mesh i would just leave it because in time the canvas will break in and be just about as good as if it were removed.

hope that helps

You can always soak your shoes in warm water to loosen the glue. It's kinda hard to cut out the entire toe box, but a majority of it will be good enough.
