Montana Freestyle Jam 4

Post by qphox »

mfj4 ~98Mb - 9:24

Sorry for the delay. My computer has STILL been giving me attitude, it's been giving me a lot of issues (especially with premiere)...so I've been a bit demotivated to work on it at all. The video is a bit scattered as is, but it's not really the kind of thing I'm willing to put more work into.

So.......here you go.

edit:

Oh yeah, I was going to speak briefly on the video too...though I'm not about to give any of the highlights away, you may still want to watch the video before reading all this.

The short scene with Jim was a lot of fun to make, and that bit itself was edited in full (audio and video) within 5 hours of getting home from Montana. I think I'm going to stick to that kind of filming from now on. I don't really enjoy making event videos anymore, I much rather filming with a purpose other than "the highlight reel".

The stuff with me barefoot is kinda chopped up and raw because the video quality/angle itself is not very good in the first place. Still, some of the stuff I hit was pretty cool, so I decided to throw it in there anyway. (it goes by fast, but keep in mind that it's quicktime, so you can use the arrow keys to frame-by-frame if you missed something)

I've decided that Luis has my favorite style ever.

We got pulled over for speeding in Montana (cost us each 10 bucks), and I managed to capture some of the cop's visit on camera...and then I made a breakbeat track with the ripped audio. :) Enjoy!
(Oh yeah, and Byrin is good. I can't believe he hit that trick wearing the hand.)

Loved the Regamy socks portion!

SPOILERS (for those who care)

Nick Landes, what? Spinning Baroque footed? That actually looked clean too.

And Spinning Sumo from Byrin??? That looked awesome.

Those 2 things really stood out to me, but good video all around Kevin.

Just slow down OK. <- I love that you put that in the song. Just like the CSS video, "He just wants your lunch." I love Jim vs. dog.

Thanks!

Except I actually wrote the entire Slowdown song, rather than just adding in the "He just wants your lunch" into an existing track. Awwwwwwwwww yeah.

Thanks y'all. I've got a cab to catch down to the event site, peace out!

that was such a fun tournie! im glad that i went again. I will definatly not miss it next year either. thanks for making such a sick video man
Your next task: Go to the bathroom.
Wash your face.
Put your shoulders hunched upwards.
Look really, really slowly upwards towards the mirror like in the movies
And slap yourself in the face.
With your game face on.
And go shred with jim.
It'll work, trust me.

not NEARLY enough comments for this video.

easily in the top 5 videos i've ever seen, and i've seen a good many. the video quality was good, the shred was literally unfuckingbelievable, perfect amount of atmosphere (or even not quite enough), and it looks like it was a pretty hilarious time. good length, original music, editing wasnt obtrusive....

really really well done.

thanks for the video.

Um...it's just quicktime H264. If quicktime isn't working for you, I really don't know what to suggest.

I downloaded quicktime player from their website for my Mom so she could watch it, it seemed to work fine.

On that same note, I can NEVER watch any video that you make Kevin. Either it won't play, it plays choppy or there is no sound.

Words cannot express how much I enjoyed this video. Great editing and great shred. There was a great balance of shred and random stuff from the competition. And making your own music from the cop was awesome.
