Thought I lost my footbag, but it just ended up being in a corner of my room filled with crap (the bag wasn't filled with crap, the corner was  ) It's a good thing I found it today, because tomorrow I'm leaving for a Royal Caribbean cruise 8) and I'm going to get as much practice in as I can.

Damn it, I think I left my fucking new FootFighter on the Cruise Ship  I can't find it ANYWHERE. I'm so fucking pissed right now.

Edit: Nope didn't lose it, it was in my shorts pocket, found it cleaning out my laundry  :)

Today's session went kinda well. I practiced atw's and clippers, I can get around 10 alternating and ss clippers, and I'm still working to get around 20ish. I'm dropping for stupid reasons, and I'm trying to pick apart why so I can hit more. Sometimes, for ss clippers I start leaning to the side too much and it screws up my balance, and for alternating clippers I set too high, don't set straight up and down, and other things.

I stitched my first footbag yesterday out of two old t-shirts, one grey, one white. It actually wasn't a bad first bag, it's very round, I got the stitching down and found a good technique, I did a good job with the blind stitch, but... well, I had to hire this guy to carry the bag around cuz it's SO FUCKING BIG.

Then today I stitched my second bag, it's waaay smaller and a lot better, made out of the same old shirts. Here's the picture:

Incase you didn't notice, I put a dollar sign on one of the pents, since I've decided to call my bags Moneybags. I don't have a golf ball to compare sizes, but what I did have was a FootFighter:

I'm going to order some ultrasuede light soon, then some different filler because the steel bb's I have are kinda big.

Just finished today's session, and I'm sweating like a fat man waiting in line at McDonalds  I'm now 8 reps away from my alternating clipper goal, which is 20. I was ssooooo damn close to hitting DATW today. I just barely kicked it with my left foot, and I hit it with my right foot, and I got so excited when it hit my foot that I dove down and held it down on my foot with both hands :P  :D I can definately feel and see improvement every time I play, and all my hard work is starting to pay off. I wish I never took that 6 month break, because I can never get that time back.

cool bags and nice chop :)

looks like you may still need some stitching practice though :D

This advice from a guy who has stitched a grand total of one panel (one a twelve panel bag no less) and managed to completely deform the finished bag.

I got a new pair of Lavers today, freshly modded. My other ones were not only worn to death, but I did a lot of modding to them, too much modding, and I needed a new pair. Plus my mom offered me a new pair anyways so I took the opportunity :P I've had my older ones since before I started freestyling, and it was time to let go :(

We have band camp all this week, and today after lunch a few of us started a hacky sack circle. I did soooooo good. I had my best and longest strings I've ever hit. I was completely suprised how good I got. No bails to 1 adds, or anything. And this was infront of a group of people who thought an ATW was amazing. And I bet almost everyone in the lunchroom saw it too. I'm really starting to improve, not only can I feel it, but now I can see it too.

Wow today is a good day. Clipper goal of 20, done. Out of the way. I swear, it's the new lavers :D Or the fact that I've been drilling really hard, or a combo of both.

I played for the first time in like 2 weeks today, and it felt pretty good. I even got a challenge knocked off. I think the biggest challenge for me in my footbag... um, journey  is staying comitted. I really have no reason to keep playing, so if I find something difficult, or something I don't find fun, I just kinda say "fuck it." When I was in track, soccer, or band or whatever, I didn't have to worry about comittment, because it's either 'practice every day and get better almost no matter what' or 'quit,' and I've never really been a fan of quitting something halfway into it like that. For footbag, it's like 'practice every day and get better,' or 'don't.' It's partially my overly lazy attitude towards everything, where I manage to slip by all the time without any hard work. It's just become a habit. Throughout all of school, I've gotten all A's and B's (with exception of one C, because the teacher was a complete whackjob) and I've still never really been challenged. Hopefully when I grow older and *wiser* I'll stop being so damn lazy.

I really need to practice more. I haven't played since September 11th. I managed to almost reach a goal today, and overall had a good session, but I need to practice more often. I have two sides, a side that doesn't want to loose all the potential I have, and a side that wants to go online and play videogames all day. So far, the latter is winning. I can't seem to motivate myself very well :(

Try osis>ss butter rpt do it till you can't move.
Also try ducking and diving. It will help with your clipper length and form.

Bops?

Try Mirage(or Smear if you can)> PLO rpt keeps you from landing to hard on your moves

Let me know how those go :]

Keep on shredding :]

Hey, thanks for that. I kinda want to work on illusions and pickups before I work on 3 adds, though. (When I first started playing, I figured they were just different directions of mirages and legovers, so I decided not to learn them, and now I'm catching up.)

I'm still working on datw. It's not the dexes, it's the catch at the end. If my lavers were less weight and my feet weren't so damn big, I could land it, but whenever I try barefooted I just end up kicking it.
