non european injuries [that i can remember before 7am]:

dc - back
penske - nip
morrison - ankle

plus these upandcomers:

gatesman/skaggs
digges
landes
wylie coyote
sam potter

also note that the top5 in routines is only 20% european.

enjoy it while it lasts : )

And you should remember that there was alot of europeans not there. Especially the polish players come to my mind.

This is a kind of strange thread. But you should definitely get some of the credit Jan. You do an awesome work for footbag in Europe!

like asmus said, consider how few european players made it to worlds this year.

but i didn't make this post to brag. it just struck me as amazing how european footbag has developed in the last years. it really is something nobody could have foreseen 10 years ago. let's hope the developement continues!

I'd also like to point out that the "pacific region" for lack of a better term also had some very good results in open routine and shred.

Yeah I had a re-occuring injury in my shoulder/peck area. I tweaked it in a pull up contest.

I wouldn't really say Europe is dominating. Yeah, you guys do have a lot of great players and I know a lot didn't make it to worlds. But our best players haven't made it to worlds in 3 years. So it goes both ways. And just look at the results.

-Klouda
-Penske
-Flash
-Clavens

3 out of the top 4= AMERICAN
I guess there's no way to settle this until we all meet at a tournament. But a lot of the European players have sloppy style and I feel like U.S. hasn't got the credit it deserves in the past few years.

I have been amazed for years by what has been going on in Europe regarding footbag, but let me ask you this:

What is going on in PA, particularly State College 8O

Clavens, Flash and Pipenberg. Mike Toolan?

Anyway it seems that players are simply too far away from each other to readily keep up with such a concept as the better region. What I think is interesting is how certain groups are so amzaing and how they reinforce each other. I feel it says a lot about the communal nature of this sport and the potential it has as it grows.

Penske: I really liked your routines and music selection. Going up against DJ Shadow like that was bad-ass.

NA is a hardcore scene.

Most of the top 10 players in the world are from NA. I ain't lookin' at results here.

Jan is right..and it seems like the truth hurts a little bit.

Forget the pride and don't be so disturbed. It is good for the sport in general that footbag is not going backwards in Europe.

This is not a freestyle ranking discussion. The point was that Europe have gone through a very positive development in all aspects of our sport. Therefore Jan highlight that all diciplines were won by Europeans execpt singles net.

props to the euro players. a lot of them do seem to get good FAST! faster than we do here in NA. anyone want to speculate why?

I'm glad to see the sport pushed to new heights. I don't care where you're from. as far as I'm concerned, we're all from Footbagland anyway.
