Not only are they less expensive than most athletic shoes, they're made on a much smaller scale and therefore cost more for each to be produced. You should be happy the price is as low as it is, specially since by buying a pair you're funding a project which aims to eventually produce shoes that are ideal for footbag.

Stop complaining.

I played with V1 and V2 at Worlds very briefly, and I didn't care for the toe area on either. It felt like playing without walls on my Lavers again: Large and imprecise, although, I know some people prefer de-walled Lavers.

I did like the clipper, I could definately crank a lot more in them than in my Lavers.

Everyone who I played with who tried on Quantums I told to try Ripstein; everyone could at least get a decent set off, even people who claimed to suck at Swirls (I'm looking at you Kevin Crowly).

So what has changed between QM01 and QM02? What makes them better or worse? Im considering getting some but if they arent any different really then theres no point, ill keep Lavers.

Im thinking like, shape of instep, toe box, the material of the shoe (is it still that same slippery stuff from QM01?) etc

Stupid Canada Post. I bet they look at the labels and say, this one is going to Nunavut, let's just let it sit there for a week or more and then send it to customs.

It is so sad that people in Australia are able to get their shoes before me. I mean, I am on the same continent as Freedom.

But I can't wait to get them. I should have ordered insoles with them too. Sheizer.

yeah ian ... the material has been changed, for the reason you mentioned. the material is very thin/soft as in the previous version, but more like canvas ... not quite as rough and grippy as canvas, but much more like canvas than the 01's.

i'm really enjoying mine. i do feel some truth in what matt is saying of the toes ... can't really explain why though

. i feel part of the toe problem for me is that they are marginally too big ... meaning i do not have the same sense of feeling/using my toes to cradle the bag on toe stalls/sets when it lands too far forward on the shoe. but my crank has always been pretty lame, yet i have definately noticed an improvement using the quantums over my usual lavers.

I'll post what I think of mine right now.

I've have a pair for about 3 or 4 weeks now I think and they're a great shoe.... but they aren't holding up that great.

Both the inside and outside fabric is ripping on the inside. Not the actual outside mesh but the inside fabric that lines up with it

My sole is cracking and the paint is coming off.

All in all they're good shoes but don't use them for walking around.

Anyone have this same problem..i need good footbag shoes but i also need them to walk around a bit.

If any else has this problem then i'll get new lavers and wait for quantums, if not then quantums it is.

Please i need an answer ASAP

The fabric on the toe and clipper area is very thin, and wouldn't be very durable for walking around in. But you say you want footbag shoes, if you get lavers, you're getting tennis shoes! Get quantums for footbag, and other shoes for walking around in!

I got mine to fit EXTREMELY snug, I bought the size 6's!

I managed to crush them out to fit my foot, and they are SICK now!

I wanted them to fit so tight now so that later they would be perfect, instead of starting perfect and winding up too big.

Also, by buying ones that were so small the toe area is enlarged by the fact that the sidewalls get pulled furter apart by my wide feet.

I made the toe area a little larger by shaving down the top of the walls down to the eyelets. I've just left the lacing natural except for leaving the bottom eyelets open and the surface is great now!

The toe feels a bit rounder compared to my experience with Lavers/G-units. I bought mine pretty snug, at a size 7. I wear a size 8 Laver/size 7.5 G-unit somewhat snug and comfy, I guess. I just need to adjust so that the shoes stretch a bit; only had 1-2 pretty decent sessions with them.

The walls feel weak. Mine keep sinking in. The toebox is waaayyy big.

There's no traction as well!!! Agh! I keep slipping, even on concrete!

I think I'll try spraying hair spray on the sole before every session to keep me going. This is by far my one harsh criticism of the shoe, but maybe I've been spoiled by the G-unit's amazing traction.

Other than that, the clipper surface and the material on the stalling surfaces are great. I've grown to love them.

They actually tell you to change out the insoles Kyle.

I like them much better with spencos (low profiles to be exact)
