Thanks for doing the contest.
The bag I got from you is starting to break in now. I can't wait to break in these bags. I bought 8 of them at worlds.
Here's a list:
Aaron Shepard (way underrated stitcher, probably some of the best steel-filled bags out there)
Brian Dennis
Fletcher Funk
Dave Clavens
Waylon Lew (probably THE best steel-filled bag out there)
Nate Pipenberg
Holly
Aaron Shepard (again)
School tomorrow. Fuck. Going to bed. I don't even have supplies for school yet.

Yeah. Shitty. We get out early though.
Day 2 Worlds!
- Penske wakes us all up at like 9 o'clock and he's like, I'm gonna go hang out with these kids (the ones from the night before) so the rest of us go to sleep. Then he gets back a bit later and wakes us all up again, and he makes us shred. I was so damn tired and my legs were already pretty much dead. Not a good session for anybody. Did work out some of the soreness though.
- People started showing up in the afternoon. Aaron Shepard got there and stayed with us, and then Cody (B.) showed up. They were both fantastic roommates. I think we had a session after they got there and the soreness was still going away. Penske and Zeb leave before this I think...
- By the time Holly and Brian showed up, the soreness was completely gone, and a ton of people were showing up. We had a couple circles in the lobby, blocking the doors almost completely. That was really fun. I think there was Me, Kevin Crowley, Brian, Holly, Lee, Stephen Barnes, Zach Jahner, and some other people. I forget. It was hella fun though, Holly and Brian both had huge bags of bags. Holly told me I owed her a footbag (which I did, and I knew, I had the bag in the room).
- Anyways, we played footbag for a while there, then we left that spot and moved so we weren't blocking the door, but we ended up being even more in the way. Oh well, Disney loved it.
- Nothing else really happened that night, I just remember having a fun time, I think we had another late night shred, but I don't remember any highlights. I'll just say some stuff about my roommates now:
- Cody Beeler: This guy is really cool, he's been playing for four months. He can do most of his stuff both sides, he can do dimwalk... blah blah blah. Later in the week he learned atomic and quantum (!). He's really nice though, never said anything bad about anyone, even though I was probably a douchebag at least once. He also had a car which was quite useful. It got us to the grocery store a couple times real nicely. Also way faster transportation to the event site than just the shuttle. Thanks Cody, you rock.
- Aaron Shepard: Another really cool guy. He's straightforward, not really afraid to share his feelings. Not in an asshole way though. I liked him a lot, and he's pretty good at footbag. He hit fusion for the first time at the tournament, and he can hit superfly, witchdoctor, alpine leg... Anyways, most importantly, his job is really crazy. He gets paid to go to places like Costa Rica (he's actually there right now, he left for there right after worlds), Texas, Hawaii I think to protect sea turtles by moving their nests so they don't get drowned. I think he said that people like him have raised the population levels of sea turtles by like, 600 adult females or something. That's crazy. Sounds like a fun job. He also used to be a wildfire fighter. He's also really funny. And he also almost always gets shotgun (because he cheats)
- Kevin Crowley: Possibly one of the coolest people I met at the tourney, he's awesome. His style is just like SHABANG. He hits gyro clipper for a warm up before a string instead of toe stalls or kicks. It's crazy. Also, like all of his runs are 20+ contacts. He NEVER drops. It's ridiculous. They're not just easy runs either, he throws scorpion's tail and shit in there all the time. He also hit whirr first try in long shorts as we were leaving the hotel room waiting for some people. Overall he's just a really nice guy and I can't wait to see him again at another tournament. If I can I'm going to try and go to the MFJ tournament just so I can see him again (also because that video Kevin R. made is fucking ridiculous, I saw it with actual commentary by Kevin)
- I don't think I could have asked for better roommates, thank you guys, I really appreciate you not being dickheads (even though I might have been sometimes)

Thanks for all the kind words Zac. You guys were some of the best roomates that I've ever had at a tourney. Keep shredding. I know it's not as exciting as sailing ss mirage>dimmiest, but don't forget to drill all of the 2s both sides and then all of the 3's.
We'll definitely run into each other again in the future. best of luck w/ school

Thanks Kevin.
Yeah, I've vowed to go back and drill my basics (again, I've said it before) and flipside.
Day 3 Worlds. This will probably be a short one.
- I think this is the day that Zeb and Kyle came and knocked on our door at like 9 am. Dudes, way too fucking early. We went to bed at like 4 am again. I just flipped them off and went back to bed.
- Woke up again at noon or so. Went up to the lobby, there was lots of shred going on. Well, outside at least. I think there was a couple circles, I dunno. People showed up a bit later in the day (this was the 11th). I'll skip to around 4 o'clock.
- Matt Cross, Tom Mosher, bunch of other people show up. Jay Boychuk I think as well. Matt Cross recognized me after he saw my shoes. He was a really cool guy, although a tad cranky the first time I met him. (pun wayyyy intended)
- I think we registered this day as well. Maybe. No it was the next day. I bought a bag off Brian, Holly, and Aaron.
- All we did was shred, and then we went back to the room, swimming, screwing around. Kevin might have gone to Terra Verde for the night. Maybe it was the next night. Not sure.
Told you it was short. I'll do Day 4 later today, it should be a bit more interesting (David Clavens!)

Day 4. Probably not a short one. Just so you know, all of this stuff is off the top of my head so some of it is probably wrong, or out of order.
- Wake up around 11 - noon again. Get dressed. Go outside. People shredding EVERYWHEREEEREEEEE. Go up to the lobby. People shredding EVERYWHEERREEEE. I loved it.
- Went to the food court to register. People shredding EVERYWHEEREEEEEE. I wait for Cody to register so he can use the CD for our songs, they were both on the same CD. While I'm waiting I'm in a circle with... Gray Chadwick... Zach Forth?... Uhhh... Kevin?.... Somebody else? Anyways, that doesn't matter.
- I see Dave Clavens, I don't think he sees me. He looks like, exactly how I thought. It was crazy. His back brace has got to be the most annoying thing in the world. Especially during the summer. I bet that thing is nasty.
- Dave checks in/registers whatever, I keep playing. Dave sneaks up on me and the first thing he says is, "Don't self serve." and then he shakes my hand. And then I laugh and I'm like, "Hey what's up man?" and I show him the two bags I bought from him and I tell him I'll buy another when this circle's over.
- Dave disappears. I register (right behind Jorden Moir 0.0)
- I see Kyle Hewitt, we have a fun circle, Scott Behmer joins a bit later. I was trying to one-up Kyle, but we were both wearing long shorts so it didn't work out so well. I think he thought I was mad at him when I flipped him off the day before. I wasn't, just for the record.
- Circle disbands.
- Steve Goldberg introduces me to Vasek, and later tries to introduce me to Dave.
I find Cody and we start heading back to the hotel room. There is a shit ton of circles going on, and I think Jorden was playing with Andrew Grant (just screwing around). I watched them for a while just sitting, and then Dave walks up and I pick the bag I'm gonna buy.
- I run to the hotel room right after I buy it and I toss it at Cody. He's like, "Dude, we have to shred this." And I'm like, "Fuck yeah we do."
- We get our shred shorts on and go play with this brand new clavens bag. It was soooooooooooo good! We played with this guy from Spain, Me, Cody and somebody esle I forget.
- Dave walks up and asks if he can film and I'm like, "Yeah, sure, just stay out of my way". I don't think he heard me (it was a joke).
- The first string I do on camera starts with Pixie Tap>Pixie Paradon into a large run, and then Dave put his hand over the camera (which means that something good just happened when you're going over the tape) and I was just like, omg I'm gonna melt. I might have imagined the hand thing but I'm almost positive he did. I got props on it too (from Dave).
- We played a while longer and then we disband, and I go put some pants on so I'll stop shredding (I probably averaged about 8 hours of shred a day, and I played like 2 hours on the last couple days).
- I watch a circle with Jorden Moir.
- I see Dave sitting on the bench watching, I go sit by him and I'm like, "Hey what's up." and he's like, "Not much. How are you liking your first worlds." and I'm like, "It's worlds." I think Alex Strassman was sitting on the other side of me.
- We just sit there watching the circles and chatting a little bit. I was mostly watching Tina and Ianek in a two-person circle. Tina was fucking RIPPING. She was hitting Janiwalker like it was nothing, it was so awesome. Dave said he was gonna quit because she hit Janiwalker first try, but then he was like, "Wait I can probably do that too." lol he was funny. Dave was filming that circle also.
- I go into the hotel room, sit there for a while.
- Go back outside, give Dave the dollar I owe him, and see Nathan Pipenberg on the bench. I ask if he has any bags and he's like, "Yeah, one." I bought it. The first time I played with it was when I competed with it. Yeah. I got one of the 3 bags Nate brought to worlds, that's crazy.
- Everybody starts leaving because the lighting starts sucking.
- I watch some more shred up by the lobby, go swim, then go to sleep. Probably one of the better days of the tournament.

Worlds, Day 5. I doubt I'll remember much of anything until days 9 & 10, sorry.
- Wake up. I think at like 1, and then we decide to go the event site. I think I have may have competed this day, but I'll just say it was the next day.
- Everybody was shredding in this really really crappy room. It was too small, and the floor made it impossible to see the bag. Whatever, it was still fun. Oh, I did circle contest this day. Will Digges, Ben Skaggs, and Yoga were in my circle. I got stomped. Ah well, it was still fun.
- I played lots of footbag. I don't think I bought any bags though, maybe. Iunno.
- The day wasn't really that interesting. I just played footbag.

Day 6 Worlds (Maybe Day 7 as well)
- Wake up at 8 or something. We had to go to the event site and compete. We get there at like, 9:15 or something. Supposed to be there at 9 I think. We had to wait like 3 hours to compete, it was retarded. I was soooo tired too. Damn.
- I sucked on my routine, but I think I should have gotten 2nd in the pool at least. I got 4th. I think there was bad judging, but I'm probably wrong.
- I did my shred 30, got 87.6 or something, made it to the next round in 6th. It wasn't very good as well.
- Played quite a bit of footbag while watching some routines and shred 30. I loved Andrew Grant's, it just didn't stop. So good.
- I'm getting bored of write-ups.
- Kevin's routine was good.
- Jon Haber's was funny.
- Eric Chang's was funny.
- Vasek is fucking ridiculous
- Dave's 3 routines are the most inspirational thing EVER (plus the BAP, but the 3 routines was even more amazing).
- Dan Ednie is so awesome.
- Vasek stayed two doors down from me. I listened to him talk while we waded around the pool, and he was talking about how he learned. It was interesting. He also said that he was trying Fairy Swirling Gyro Backside Nemesis and said that he thinks he will hit it, since he can do backside nem downtime. So ridiculous.
- In the finals of shred 30, I scored 119, which is like, .3 points higher than Byrin scored (he got fucked though, his bag exploded or something). I still thought it was funny, since he's like my favorite player and so good.
- Tina scored 199 something. I remember saying to Cody while she was doing it that I thought she would break 200.
- Oxana is seriously the nicest person in the world, and so funny. I think she will give Tina a run for her money pretty soon too. She also plays net, and I saw her do a real nasty spike. I clapped for her.
- Vasek scored 281 in semis or something. That's just retarded.
- No more write ups. I may write about the airport though, I talked with Dave for a little bit.

So apparently my sister has had a pair of Climas for a few months that she bought in San Diego for $15. She wore them today to play disc golf in and I freaked out.
I told her about them and she was like, "Oh really, I don't like them very much. You can buy them."
So, I just bought a pair of perfectly fitting climas for a disc golf disc.
I played in them for a while and the clipper surface on these (without modding even) is fucking fantastic. I love them.
My shred shoe collection continues to grow.

I played in them for a while and the clipper surface on these (without modding even) is fucking fantastic. I love them.
My shred shoe collection continues to grow.

Had my first real session today, worked on form. I did 3 sets today (total). One was sailing, and the other two were pixie (one on each side.
)
That should tell you what I worked on.
I worked tiltless drills until they were dead. I slowed down all of my tricks, especially infinities and osii. I made sure my Illusions were clean and I did only one double down (each side).
And it still felt like a really good session. I'm proud of myself.
