David Clavens 2007 World's Video

Post by david »

Hey,

I filmed for about 3 hours and got a half hour of cool stuff. This video is really just a mix of stuff I saw, some of it shred. I hope you enjoy it.

http://www.footbag.org/gallery/show/12288
94 MB

The quality is pretty bad because I wanted to host it on footbag.org. It will play in a small screen by default, but stretching it a little won't hurt it too much.

Please post your thoughts, I'd really like to read them. I realize this is not a super shred video, so I don't think everyone will like it. But I enjoyed making it, and that's enough for me.

Props on getting this out so quick man, I'm glad it's not just freestyle but some into and organization also. Sick music, shred, and wide range of freestylers.

Your little, "OH! HEY!" comment to Erik made me laugh. Cool video. I liked how you narrated the video. You sound like a cool person to hang out with. Wish I had the guts to say hi to you when I first saw you rather than as I was practically out the door.

Awesome video man! I liked the Terra Verde tour at the first. It brought back a lot of good memories. The interview with Jorden was funny. There was a good variety of shred. And your commentary is good. Thanks for filming me, I liked the runs you used from the garage session.

Wow, this was a great video. It brang me back right there in Florida a week ago with all those souvenir. I really liked how you mixed the shred video with stuff that happens there and tried to make us feel the atmosphere. Loved it.

It was great meeting you. I learned a lot both on you and freestyle on the last night when we had a talk with Ben Roscow and Jon haber. I'm sad it's all over now  .

hey dave, thanks a lot. I really liked kevin crowley's section, and lon smith's, and definitely that bev run that looked kinda lon-ish. I liked the tour, and LOVED the part where jorden said, to those kids who went to euros and not worlds, screw you, this is the place to be.

Dave, this was an awesome video. I can see shred in tons of videos, but this really captured the atmosphere of the event. I felt like I was there for a while, and loved how the vid corresponded with Erik Chan's write-ups (I remember him writing about the trippy carpet, the houses, the garage shred, everything).

Thanks so much for the dose of perspective.

That was so great, Dave.
Thanks! Yeah, I think my favourite part was the tour of your house. Terra Verde was so cool. Every time I sat on our back pool area I would look for alligators.

I really liked the Lon shred a lot. I liked how it was split up into little sections of shred -- that was neat. And the commentary and little notes.

Thanks for putting the time into this, Dave :)
I really like the length.

Thanks Dave,

The swirl scene was awesome. I've seen a lot of shred but I've never seen Jorden eating a peanut butter sandwich. That was sick. I wonder if that was on the cool bread. That would have been sick too.

Lon rocks.

Sweet vid. I only have one complaint about it- the footage made me sadder that I had to miss out on worlds. :( Congrats on BAP too!
