Matthias,

You just had to be there. It was much better live. Funniest footbag thing I've seen since that Australian (NZ?) doubles routine at Worlds in Prague. And speaking of doubles, is Henry G's doubles routine up yet? Somebody should probably put it right here in this thread too.

hacksterbator wrote:jon worked really hard on that routine. however, the ground breakingness and sheer unprecedented technique and style was something neither the judges nor jon was prepared for. we are already collaborating for next year, and hope for a better performance. Jon is the greatest most forward thinking player i have ever had the honour of choreographing for.

This is not a negative criticism because that routine was great, but that was actually some serious backward thinking where routines are concerned. 10 years ago and 10 less drops and that routine probably could have won worlds. Now it's all about 2 minute shred with minor choreography.

Minor choreography? This was much more choreographed than the nowadays shred:120. Personally I'd much rather watch an entertaining routine than 2 minutes of shred. If I wanted to see that, I'd watch them in a circle.

i think splint and you are saying the same thing. That today there is "minor choreography" in routines, which is more like "shred 1:20".

That was beautiful. Thanks for posting this. I've only watched it three times but that is because I am afraid I will cry. If he had done this without a drop... I would have been happy seeing him make it to the finals.
