My Regime

Post by NotHisRealName »

Hey all, I've been thinking about this for a while now, and I remember someone talking about keeping a footbag diary to keep track of what they hit and when.
At the moment, I'm only hitting average 3's and easy 4's, so I've decided to create a regime to adhire to when schooling. I figure it'll be a good way to start focusing on my specifics, rather than my general, and should improve my shreds.
All I've done is taken drills in which I can hit one - if not all - of the tricks present, and applyed them to a card that I'll take in my pack that I carry all my gear in.
I figure, when I hit a specific drill 3 times, consecutively, then the drill is hit and I can add a new drill to the list.
With any trick I am yet to learn, I've printed the Jobs description on the back of the list. -Easy reference.

To some (No, probabilly to most here), this may seem a pointless idea, as they might not be able to stick to it (or as is more likely, they good enough to not need a regime). I don't know if it'll work for me, but I'm giving it a go. I'll let you know how it goes. Hopefully it works. - At very least, it can't hurt to give it a go.

I kind of did this with the Goals thread, I have a decent memory so when I look at my goals there, I can remember them long enough to not have to carry around a list of moves and drills. But hey if it works then it's a great idea.

yeah! i just did that the other night when i started that new skooling method. i have a heading for like every set and every downtime move. and then points underneath. like. under drifter i have written drifter/pdx drifter/smoke/blurry drifter and stuff. and under atomic set i have tapping dlo/ducking dlo/gyro dlo. and stuff. this helps me especially for remembering moves. because i'll always be shredding. and then after i'll be like. "i didnt hit a single eggbeater!!" or something. and i get all frustrated when i forget about moves. and stuff.

I've opted for a printed sheet because my memory is not the best with most of the drills I've chosen to work on first, and I don't know the components of some of the tricks I'm yet to learn.
Also, it's physical, so at the end of the day I can see if I've put in the effort or not, and it'll be more rewarding each time I cross off a drill as being nailed in 3 consecutive runs. I also figure it'll help when the time comes for me to perform my first routiene in a comp, as I'll be able to link drills insted of individual moves, which should make life easier for me.

Its a good idea. wut i do is i think of a run or a bunch of tricks at once, with the harder ones in the beggining. so when i can hit the entire thing, i'll have schooled the harder moves more, but it will still be about even due to difficulty

Just updating.

So far, I haven't had much luck in keeping with this regiem. I've been working on a few drills, but I think my initial range of drills was a bit extreme.

I've also found that I have better luck just experimenting during sessions, rather than going out trying to learn something specific.

No, no it's "regime". A form of government: a fascist regime. I prefer the classic eastern european block paradigm for my footbagging needs.

I read it on some website that had like a billion tricks. It also had a forum like this one, but I gave up on that forum.

A Grandfather Clock is inside, outside, and then inside again.

For sure kiser. And a Doda was something like:

Right Outside> Head Bunt> Left Outside

And a reverse Doda was something like:

Left Outside> Head Bunt> Right Outside

Like :?? Anyone else find that humorous?
