Nice, I like this post.B_Man wrote:I consider myself to be a fairly patient person. In my own opinion, it takes a lot for me to get upset over something. I'm actually a pretty humble, modest, friendly guy. But sometimes, you have something that quickly puts you into a murderous rage. You know, that one thing that just drivesyou up the wall and fills your vision with red. It doesn't matter how patient, or friendly, or nice you are - that something sparks the anger and fury that never really surfaces in your everyday life and takes over. I'm pretty sure it's those things that make people kill other people.
It's 3:17am. My fucktard roommates came home and weren't so carefull about it. In fact, they thought it a bright fucking idea that they should bring over more people, whom I'm assuming are fellow Red Robin fucktards who have nothing better to do. It boggles me why the fuck fucktards 1 & 2 thought it a great idea to bring a fucking parade into the house, especially when atleast one of them knows just how fucking pissed off I get when I can't catch just a few zzzs. Honestly, how fucking considerate is it to bring people over at 3 in the God-damn morning?! Especially when you have other people residing with you, people who want to get sleep so they can wake up feeling moderately refreshed so they can fucking prepare for the WORLD FUCKING CHAMPIONSHIPS in two weeks. You would think they could take their little fucking cunt-club somewhere else, somewhere perhaps a bit more public, like say, a bar or maybe any other fucking place where I don't have to listen to stupid fucking people trying (and failing horribly) at being discreet and quiet. Seriously, I was just about to fall the fuck asleep after about an hour of rolling around when you fucking people marched on in through the door. I'm so very tempted to open my door (you know, that thing one of you smart-asses thought it a good idea to close, even though sound travels through this entire fucking building as though they weren't even there) and make every motherfucker who has a cock eat my fists before I toss them out the door.
To you fucking inconsiderate assholes, I hope you have a good night, since you ruined any chance of me having one. Thanks a fucking lot.

I'm fine now, no worries Andrew
. Just don't wake me up at 3am the night before Shred 30 starts
.
So I got all my stuff packed, which took pretty much all afternoon. I feel paranoid that I'm forgetting something, but I know I haven't. The only thing left to do is make time go by until my flight leaves on Saturday. I'm really excited for this, but at the same time I feel like there's a weight on my shoulders. Like, I put my own expectations pretty high and I also feel as though I need to live up to everybody else's expectations on top of that. Regardless, I think everything will be fine. Like Kevin said a while ago, I play much better at jams, and this is freakin' Worlds so I should play ATLEAST 5 times better
.
I hope everybody's journey to Orlando goes by safely and smoothly. I'm looking forward to meeting a lot of new faces and catching up with all my buddies
.
Take care guys. See you in Florida!

Cheers. Worlds was a blast. I met so many people I think I forgot atleast who half of them were.
Life is down in the shitter right now. My hip is buggered up pretty bad and I was dumped by my girlfriend last night. I'm still in a state of shock as to how quickly things escalated between her and I. I feel like a zombie.
EDIT - But I did hit Spinning Little Apple the other day, like, 15 times. That was cool.

Sorry about the break up. One of my favorite moments at worlds was when, after several days of taking move/combo requests from me, I asked you one day:
CF: "Hey Byrin, do you know what would be a cool trick?"
Byrin: "What?"
CF: "Around the world in 80 days!!!"
I hope your hip feels better soon. You are a shred monster.

Thanks. That was pretty funny Ken, just like when you tried pulling the "... Blurry Drifter > Matador > Whatupgee > Blurriest > repeat" joke on Red, and he was like "Yeah that's sick!" and we both looked at each other and smirked from across the circle.
Tom, it was great finally meeting you. I know we both started at around the same time and we're both from Canada, but it is weird that we met in another country thousands of kilometers south of the border
.
Update on the situation: I have tendonitis and my gf (ex?) are still talking though the 'break up' part hasn't officially come yet. Maybe we haven't and there is still hope.
Also, I'm probably going to be quitting my job soon. I'm tired of life in the canola life industry. That and I dislike most of my co-workers and the plant manager looks at me like I'm a fucking idiot all the time makes me want to get the hell out of there.
I feel as though I need change in my life - job-wise, living arrangements-wise, priority-wise. I don't know what to do, but I want to do something (and footbag while I do it).

Byrin! It was awesome meeting you. I was totally unprepared for how cool you are. So, let me give you some great advice:
You know, professional athletes usually do things in seasons and what not. Don't think that it sucks to take some time off and heal up and all that. Man, it will actually make you better! You might think, man I could have been using all this time to practice.. Well, no you couldn't really. Taking time off is actually part of the process. I recomend stretching a lot and strengthening some things.. and massaging or getting massaged and healing. Heal your head and your heart and your body. Dude like a few days or 2 weeks or something before worlds is when Ashley broke up with me... or mutual break up or whtaever.. and it fucking sucked. But let me tell you, now I feel so good, and its not cuz I'm a pimp now, I'm not. It's cauz I remembered who I am and the things that I love and put focus son my own life. You say its crazy how things can go down so fast. It's also crazy how you can realize how awesome life is so fast.
So, take it easy, figure out where you want to move and work ... get rid of some worldly possessions if you want.. and work on some other skill that you love, music/drawing/art/computer/languages.. whatever.
Just remember life has so many stages.. and we are still in the early ones. We have no idea where we will be, or what we will be doing in the future and its SO EXCITING
Peace you hot bitch.

You are very right Sam. Things are already picking up - my gf and I patched tings up and are now very happily together again and my hip has been feeling real well these past few days. It sucks, though, when you're foundations get rocked at the same time, you know? Like, the things that you love and want the most are suddenly stripped away from you and it just leaves you feeling as though you've got nothing, that's how I was for the few days. I'm happy to say that things are turned around now.
Due to my hip, the past two days have been spent easily at work. Today I even got to go out for lunch and had, like, a 30 dollar meal. I could have easily pushed it past 50, but I don't need that. Fillet mignon (sp?) = fuck yeah
.
The only downside right now is that I'm on Tylenol 3s, and they make you constipated. It's been 3 days since, well... you know, and I'm pretty sure I have 2.5 days worth still sitting inside of me. I feel so bogged down it's not even funny
.
I'm hoping that I'll start footbagging next week. I also got to get my shit together for Hackrifice.

NO duude.. You need to get off the pain killers right away. You need to feel the pain that is in your body. Right now I have been working out pretty heavily since worlds.. Lifting weights amoung other things.. And I guess I oveerdid it on my left arm.. the tricep where it connects to the elbow. It hurts. But instead of taking pain meds. I have been giving it a rest.. and I can truely feel what condition it is in cuz I'm not on drugs like that. I switched to lower weights and I slowly very slowly do the motions of a shoulder push or whatever its called and I can feel where it hurts and notice how its healing over the past few days.
Please stop taking those pain killers.. and take a BIG SHIIIIIIIIIIT
props on your gf.. but .. in my experience every time i have got back together with a girl its just cuz we were both lonley and the problem was never solved and came back to haunt us..
time will tell

I've been off the painkillers for a while now, my hip seems to be doing real well. My ankle, however, still gets sore when I do clippers a bit though. It's not too bad, I just stretch it out a lot, but still...
Anyways, tonight an anchorman for the provincial news here in Alberta came out and interviewed Rory, Kevin and I all about (surprise) footbag. We're going to be put on air tomorrow at 6:40ish on CTV, and then again at around 11pm I think. Stoked!
Had a pretty good session too. It was cold, but after we did the interview Rory and I kicked for a bit afterwards. I had Spinning Big Apple off my foot, and after a few days of furious work at furious (haha), I finally managed to hit... Janiwalker > Janiwalker... and on both sides. I love progress
.
My goal for myself is to hit Nemesis by my birthday, which is on the 30th. That gives me a few good weeks - wish me luck

Dude, ICE! It works wonders for my ankle when it gets aggravated. Put ice on your ankle for 15 minutes at a time. Repeat as much as possible, even a few days after it has healed.B_Man wrote:My ankle, however, still gets sore when I do clippers a bit though. My ankle hurt on day 3 of worlds and by day 5 it was perfect.
Are you going to post the news video online?

Amateurs practice until they can get it right.
Professionals practice until they can't get it wrong.
No, I don't play soccer. Yes, there are competitions. 4 years. Lots of practice.

It's just from a bit of overuse, it's no biggie. It's actually feeling pretty good right now, but I also haven't kicked over the weekend so I'll see how it feels later on in the week. I may use this thing you humans call "ice" if the pain persists...
I had a real good session this evening. I'm really really stoked about how well furious sets are progressing. Hell, I'd be pissed if they weren't progressing as good as they are since I've been putting in about ~6 hours a week just to get the hang of the damn things
. That said, I need to maybe lay off them for a session and go over my more core tricks.
Soooo... umm... yeah. Stoked about furious sets, feeling the need to go over more foundation guiltless but overall really happy with where my game is heading. Worlds has given me "a surge of motivation and inspiration" to adapt a much more aggressive style. I want to feel shock waves radiate from the Earth when I land my tricks damnit!
What else... I've been getting really really strong urges to play World of Warcraft, but I've been holding off on it because I know I'd get absolutely addicted to it. As it is, I'm totally back into playing Oblivion (Thief / Assassin, oh yeah
) and working hard to doing as many quests as I can, exploring as much as I can and wanting to finish the game. I've also kinda had the urge to beat Morrowind, which is still a killer game imo.
I guess some highlights, since this is my blog and all...
- Janiwalker and Sunilwalker bsos
- Janiwalker double bsos
- Sunilwalker double bsos
- Fury > Fusion bs, Janiwalker > Blurriest bs, Furious Legover > Pixie Paradon bs
- Barfly x 13 (new record)
- DDD x 5 bs (new record as well)
- Barfly > DDD x 4
- Spinning Blender > Food bsos
That's about it I suppose. I made a list after Worlds of things I want to get better at, and have been going through them pretty steady. It has really helped me to stay on course with my drilling.

Sick stuff, Byrin. It seems like you sure picked up furious in a real hurry
Some high plains stuff would look so styley with your rev swirls.... reverse high plains swifter?? Hey, do you do reverse swifters? Oooo gyro rev swirl > sunilwalker [repeat] @_______@ (Actually, highstepping same clipper would be way cooler than sunilwalker)
I keep playing a bit more of Oblivion too, every now and then. I wanted to try to be a different kind of character, because I am always sneaky (probably because I am scared of trying to take on 5 enemies at once (unless I am out of range and sniping with a bow). I tried to be a heavy armour battle mage... but that was just silly. I was really bad at that.
Morrowind is waaaaayyy better than Oblivion. Oblivion doesn't last long at all if you follow the story pretty primarily. Oblivion looks pretty, though... I think they keep getting worse and dumbed down...
